Would Riku be in Kingdom Hearts III as a playable character? To be honest, Riku should have his story with King Mickey. He and Mickey can have his role just like Sora, Donald and Goofy.

I'm hoping that we eventually get a side-story game for Riku and Mickey, that spans from KH1 to KH3 (and sets up some of the next Kingdom Hearts series). There are a few periods of time where we don't fully know what Mickey and Riku were doing, so having a spin-off for that would be cool. 

 

In my opinion, Riku should be briefly controllable in KH3, but most of the focus should be on Sora and co. Leave side-characters to side-games, apart from tutorials/prologues/story events.

Hmmmm...well KHDDD has already hinted of Kairi's involvement in KHIII as a keyblade weilder, so I was thinking maybe in this game you have multiple characters with you through the whole adventure and could switch them out a la' Final Fantasy Type-0/Agito, so Riku and Mickey could be playble as well?

Maybe but I think Nomura's gonna focus on Sora and maybe their be a alternate storyline mode like Chain Of Memories and have that for multiple characters

You mean KH3D secret ending that Riku brought Kairi to Yen Sid and King Mickey for her Mark of Mastery.

Yes.

It would be neat to play as Mickey more, since in KH2 you need to die in order to play as him, But, Riku has had his share of gameplay, Now the real questions, When can we play as Kairi, or at least get her in our party? That is something that i think most would find Fun and Amusing.
