Posted June 16, 201411 yr Link has a sword in the zelda U trailer. if you pause it to 3:31 you will see the hilt of the sword. What could this mean?
June 16, 201411 yr Author I'm not familiar with the Zelda franchise but doesn't Link always have sword? Well when you look at the trailer once the sword is no where to be seen. But when I looked at it for the second and third time I saw the sword. The sword is hard to see, but you can tell that it's a sword based on how it looks. Edited June 16, 201411 yr by Zeldablade7
June 16, 201411 yr Well, what do you know, Master Sword confirmed. In a Zelda game. Surprise, surprise. Next thing you know, KH will have Keyblades.

June 16, 201411 yr What i'm trying to see is when you first watched the trailer you WON"T see the sword with Link because your eyes are focused on Link and the bow and arrow so... It's the same with everything. You never see every detail the first time you watch something. If your wondering why he didn't use it, maybe that particular enemy's weak point can only be hit with an arrow. Edit: Oh, wait, that's not a sword. That's his quiver. If your wondering why he didn't use it, maybe that particular enemy's weak point can only be hit with an arrow. That makes sense. I'm not disappointing that he didn't use the sword in the trailer, i'm just relieved that he at least has a sword in the trailer not saying that I didn't expect a sword in a zelda game because every zelda game has to have a sword of some kind. oh and not all zelda games have the master sword. I played almost every one of them and only most of the 3d zelda games and two 2d zelda games have the master sword. Edited June 17, 201411 yr by Zeldablade7
June 17, 201411 yr The thing I paid more attention to is how Link is holding the bow. Looks like another right-handed Zelda game.

June 17, 201411 yr Well he should because from this trailer Link seems like his character archetype is a Ranger and he fits all the needed criteria which is Cloak,Horse,Bow,Quiver,Arrows, and a Sword for those special occasions
June 17, 201411 yr The thing I paid more attention to is how Link is holding the bow. Looks like another right-handed Zelda game. Link's used his sword with one hand and drawn his bow with the other before, could go either way.
June 17, 201411 yr Author Link's used his sword with one hand and drawn his bow with the other before, could go either way. That would be cool. Maybe they can have link attack with his sword while he is on the horse just like in Twilight Princess.
June 17, 201411 yr Link's used his sword with one hand and drawn his bow with the other before, could go either way. The only exceptions to the "left-handed rule (I guess people would say)" would be the Wii versions of the games, as right-handed people dominate the world as far as preferred hand choice goes. Though, in Skyward Sword, he still holds the bow in a left-handed manner. The Wii version of Twilight Princess, he holds it in a right-handed manner, but the Gamecube has him hold it in a lefty's stance. I suppose that makes sense, with the Wii version being a horizontal flip of the Gamecube's. Though one could also argue that since Skyward Sword is the first in the timeline, it "establishes" that the Hero can be ambidextrous.
