At four points around the mountain known as Evraius the Teragren captains went over the situation once more to be sure there was no confusion; this was a volunteer mission, there was a high risk of death, and once the climbers passed the Teragen gates onto the premises of Evraius they were no longer under the protection of the Teragren army, and nobody would help but the rest of their team members.Of the 19 volunteers that passed the test to be accepted into the Evraius mission there were now four teams, each of 4 or 5 people. The army had brought them to the four gates that separated Evraius from the Kingdom of Teragren. The strategy was that they may be more effective if they could split the Kamyn attention and thus have a better survival rate. Now the four teams sat at their respective gates, facing the world changing mountain that would be their future; Evraius. The teams were split up in the following ways:Gold Team, made up of Drale Vay, Amber Dolor, Cornelius Bastion, and Sandrew.Silver Team, made up of Sonya Bishop, Kinzoku Mors, Averain, and Jasper SummersIron Team, made up of Alice Thornsberry, Emert Berger, Morgan Etiam Vinctum, and Doctor Pellinore WartropPlatinum Team, made up of Apollo, Lance Alburght, Varion Hain, Fairy, Aya Kozakura, Sairi KozakuraEach of the gates rumbled opened painfully and slowly, with a history of destruction and cruelty beyond their metal bars."Okay." Each captain spoke to the respective teams as they mounted their horses once again and steered back toward the road."You all have 5 minutes to greet your new teammates and enter the gates. The magical locks will automatically close them again after that point. There won't be any returning until you have something substantial to return with." The gist of each captain's parting words were. They had all rehearsed together so the information would be similar for each group. It also helped mask the fear.And then each group was left alone, each with a gate and a beaten dirt path beyond it sitting before them. It was time to start the introductions and get going.It was time to start the climb.Watching every gate through spectral projections, Adriev pondered. He stood in a pure white room with 5 others. After watching the four teams for a few moments he turned to his peers: Efenton, Girver, Dante, and Vortimer. Only one was missing."So..." He spoke slowly, weighing every word. "What shall we do about this?"

The huge flash of the attacks clashing and Adriev's being pushed back faded after some time. Leading to an eerie quiet in the ruins of the Evraius.

 

"This... can't...."

 

Adriev stagged out of the blow, his clothes tattered and his body scarred and beaten.

 

"How did he....? How could he do that? My attack? He... stopped my attack? This.. is..." he fell to the ground, but staggered to his feet once more.

 

"Impossible.... it's all... impossible. This was my ship... my mountain..." fury filled his eyes as he glared at every one of the people left standing. He raised his broken sword defiantly.

 

"This was my world! Damn it! Mine! I am Adriev!" He gripped his blade with all the feeble strength that was left to him. "I am god!"

 

He charged the group one last time.

 

"I am Kamyn!"

Looking at Adriev as he ran towards them a look of pity filled Tristan's face "(so this is what mom saw when she looked at him i get it now)" slowly stepping forward towards Adriev as he ran towards the group Tristan side stepped the injured Adriev with ease "right now your no Kamyn your not even a man all you are right now at this exact moment is nothing more then a fool a weak and powerless fool who has nothing left" using the side of his blade Tristan held it out infront of Adriev's legs in an attempt to trip him 

Kinzoku stood next to Varion. "Ready?" She questioned.

"God? You! Are! No! God! You are not even a Kaymn anymore! For all you've done to me, DIE!" yelled Vay, very close to snapping. He took his shadow, and made it into a bow. He then took three more shadows, made them arrows, and said, "Die, now and forever!" punctuating each word with an arrow shot towards Adriev.

 

(I was going to have him say "I banish you to hell!" in Latin, but I changed my mind!)

"Goodbye." Jasper said flatly, summoned Silver Serpent, and threw the bladed whip spiraling towards Adriev. The time for dramatics was over. It was time to kill this psychopath.

 

Meanwhile, Amber dropped the the floor, hardly able to take in what just happened. She, a cowardly young woman who'd known nothing but sorrow and pain for most of her life, had just helped to save the world, and everyone on it. She didn't know what would happen next, but what she did know is that she never again had a reason to think that she was worthless. She eventually got back on her feet, and took in her surroundings, and noticed that the other climbers were still taking on Adriev. Except this time it looked like the head Kamyn was losing.

(Just a question! White hole? Like the opposite of a Black hole? Which spews out matter, instead of sucking it in?)

(Whilst I would love to say I figured that out on my own... quite frankly, after watching Red Dwarf, I knew what one was. Although I'm sure even if I hadn't watched it, I still would have been able to figure it out.)

Kinzoku stood next to Varion. "Ready?" She questioned.

Varion:

"Of course." He grinned at her, an emotion flashing through his eyes. It had been long since Kinzoku had seen that sort of smile. Especially with this ridiculous mountain climbing venture they had been both signed up for. "Let's end this, Kiku." Varion murmured, smirking, a bit at an old nickname. Ah, Kiku was the nickname he often felt compelled to call Kinzoku, because, after all, they were lovers. They both signed up for this stupid mission, just wanting the extra cash and the prestige for sneaking under the nose of the other nation's elite.

"Let's kill this stupid god and then move right to our next opponents." Varion's smirk shifted to a mad grin as he slammed two fists together, summoning pillars of earth that not only went for Adriev....but everyone else as well

 

The great thing about Kinzoku, and what made Varion and her so deadly as a couple, was how her ability went hand-in-hand with Varion's. As his pillars rose up, Kinzoku immediately twisted and manipulated them to fire off spikes of hard metal.

Suddenly hearing and noticing Varion and Kinzoku's betrayal Tristan looked to there method of attack "(crap rock and metal mixed together and coming towards everyone at high speed i could deal with the one's coming towards me by simply dodging but even then Varion could make the pillars follow my movements which would make things difficult the only way for my swords power to take effect on a nanomachine power like that is to slice the rock pillars from the location there spouting up from and even then there's to many to do a right job on something like that dammit in that case there's only one other choice i can sense it myself my nanomachines that i lent to Sandrew they havent fully returned yet so lets just hope this works)" Suddenly jumping forward in front of Adriev "I can't believe i'm actually doing this but whether I like it or not you are my old man and it looks like we have some traitors revealing themselves at long last anyway so its probably better to not let you die just yet Vay Jasper my apologize but I'll be countering your attacks for the time being but i suggest you react to the traitors movements once we deal with them Adriev is all yours!" quickly swinging his blade Tristan cancelled out both Jasper's and Vay's attacks directed towards Adriev quickly after doing so Tristan drove his blade into the ground and looked towards Varions on coming attack "no point using my sword when it'll have no effect I'll dull the blade for nothing so lets just go with my backup (this is going to hurt like hell) Adriev your going to owe me big time for this" suddenly taking some for of martial arts stance a strong silver aura surrounded Tristan as Varions attack moved close Tristan's drove his right fist forward and made contact with the earth pillar "Strengthening magic full output!!!" an echoing sound could be heard through the impact of tristan's fist and the stone pillar as cracks could be seen now rushing along the pillar "(Nice nice it was a good punch but son of a that metal in there the side effect of using my strengthening magic i think i might of broken my arm and torn a muscle from the feel of it)"  

Sanya's senses dulled. Everything but Adriev came into focus, and her attack formed.

"BLAZING SWORD!"

 

With the AI of everywhere with her, and Sandrew's sacrifice driving her all the further, Sanya broke from her spot and charged Adriev, using everyone elses's attacks to cover her own charged. Her blade of pure energy creating a blade of retribution. It descended at Adriev as Rai entered his Raiju form, creating a wall of lightning that protected her from the flying metal. Sandrew's shield intact, Sanya brought her blazing sword down upon Adriev, the hearts of her past only fueling the burning blade. Ryu, Sandrew. Evra. Every one of her familiars. They were each in this blade, and with this blade, Sanya would ensure Adriev fell...even if it meant destroying herself.

Varion's pillars sprung up to deflect the attacks by the other climbers, and at the same time, impaled the lead Kamyn. Only Vay's three arrows made it through. Coughing up blood Adriev simply smiled.

 

"After all this... and you all still are as broken and selfish a race as I always... knew you to be..." Then his blade dropped to the ground and his eyes closed.

 

The king of gods was dead.

 

Evra looked nervously towards Kinzoku and Varion, and also Vay

 

"I have unfortunate news. The nanomachines belonging to Adriev have now been transferred to his killers; Vay, Varion and Kinzoku."

 

There was a moments pause as it sunk in.

 

"They are now Kamyn."

"So... That is interesting...." He looked at them. "It Is simple then. There are two options here: we can hide them in society...or..." He looked at them both. "We can make a new story... Of the evil Kaymn, and the righteous Celes , two angels who helped the heroes defeat thier regin once and for all..."

Looking towards Efenton Tristan held his right arm as it bled slightly "You seem to be missing something here Efenton those two have probably zero intention of leaving any of us alive they were sent to this mountain with a different mission to the rest of us while we were sent here to stop the reign of the current Kamyn's they were sent here to not only kill the old Kamyn's but also to steal there power i knew someone in the group was hired for that job but out of everyone it turns out to be you two you played your false roles well Kinzoku you really had me when you started going on about your curse with that i honestly thought a normal person would consider you to unstable to preform a job like this but I'm guessing there was no curse to begin with it with you really are a a cruel women to play tricks like that" taking his sword up with his left hand Tristan glanced towards Adriev's motionless corpse "Tch in the end i looks like i never will get to talk to him in a manner i wanted..." turning away from Adriev and towards Kinzoku and Varion Tristan glared "So i guess this is the part were you to begin your clean up mission but if you think I'm going to die without a fight you have another thing coming come at me Kamyn's!!"

Kinzoku smiled maliciously at Tristan. "Took you long enough to figure things out though. Too late now. As for my curse..." Kinzoku's eyes flashed yellow like the curse, then back to normal. "Simple cosmetic magic and some acting skill was enough to keep that lie going. As for cosmetic magic...." Kinzoku's appearance slowly changed, into an entirely new person. "Disguises help as well of course." She snapped her fingers and Varion next to her also changed. Smiling, she stood on her tiptoes and gave him a peck on the cheek. "Much better now dear." She said sweetly. Kinzoku turned back to Tristan. "Now, clean-up mission is good way to put it. Clean up the rest of you trash and then move along." She flicked her hand put and several spears of steel shot towards Tristan. They were about to impact when, the Doctor stood right in front of Tristan, spinning his spear, intercepting and knocking away Kinzoku's.

"Now now Tristan, you must keep up if you don't want your glory stolen." The Doctor said snarkily. He raised an eyebrow towards Kinzoku and Varion. "I knew something was a little off about you mademoiselle. Unfortunate it had to come down to this, but truly, leaving loose ends like you is bad news for me and my fellow climbers here." He said mocking French accent beginning to appear. He held his spear lax in his hand.

Varion:

After the kiss, Varion slammed a palm into the ground, letting the earth rise up with his fist. It twisted and molded, turning into a board sword. He grinned, letting out a high chuckle at the scene before him.

"Our mission's more than completed. We've got the power of the Kamyn. Hell, we could storm down this mountain and rain some real hell on everyone else. Vedik can go suck it at this point."

 

Emert:

The final two traitors were found. It wasn't even by the non-spies' hands either. The spies revealed themselves all on their own, and to make matters worse they had attained the God-like powers Adriev had only just had.

"This...I shall ensure Judgement falls upon the both of you!" Emert hissed, his stomach turning at the sight of Kinzoku and Varion.

When Adriev had fell dead, Vay felt the nanites rush over to him. The feeling of all that power, it was exhilarating, and a form of power Vay had never known. He looked at Kinzoku and Varion, and couldn't help but laugh. He was a god now, power wise at least. He felt no restrictions to his power, and just to test it, he took everyone's shadow. He laughed again as he made them all swords, and wafted them through the air, whilst Kinzoku and Varion were fighting. He then grew serious, dropping the shadows, and asked, "Are you two forgetting someone? There are three gods here, not two. Or would you prefer there to be only two?" He was angry, at it seemed they were forgetting about him. But he also felt odd. This was because when he had received those nanites, the part of him he kept locked away, had opened. All it needed was a little push. But for now, he focused on the two other spies. He had his job, and he was going to do it. Betraying the climbers? Much easier than he had expected. He just hoped they wouldn't put up too much of a fight.

 

(Honestly though, I'm curious as to why Efenton said two, and why Tristan made no mention of Vay. By the way... as odd as this sounds, could one of you mention Sandrew to Vay? I have a small reaction planned, if you're curious.)

a silver aura ran along Tristan's right arm and the blood running along his arm began to fade along with any pain he sensed "Don't worry Doc no need to tell me to keep up if anything it's those three who should be trying to keep up after all they seem to be missing the fact unlike them who just stole the power of one Kamyn i inherited the power of two whether i want to admit or not Adriev was my old man and my mother is a former Kamyn as well which means i probably have along with my own Nanomachines some of Adriev's as well as my Mom's and i we also have a Kamyn's worst nightmare on our side my sword an anti nanomachine weapon alright whoever is still in a condition get ready we're taking those three down try and remember there attack patterns from earlier battles spotting a specific style could be the difference between life and death here owe ya and one more thing leave Varion to me his betrayal leaves the worst taste in my mouth out of all three of them so I'm taking him down" stating that right off the bat Tristan charged forward right away moving past Kinzoku and Vay and aiming for Varion right away with a strong swing of his blade "Adriev's nanomachines was split between three of you so each of you should only have around a third of the power he had so dont go thinking your all powerful just yet"

"I'm glad at least one person remembers me. I just wish it hadn't been you," Vay said, before taking his shadow, and stretched it into a long, thin line. He then held it in front of Tristan as he charged Varion. "Nothing like a simple trip-up to ruin a perfect plan," he thought to himself, laughing a little at what he was doing. He was a giddy with the power he had. It might not have been much, but it was his alright.

Smirking at Vay Tristan swung his sword and sliced through the shadow removing it from his path "Didn't you hear abilities that priorities the use of Nanomachines are next to useless against me against me a shadow user like you is at a huge disadvantage even if you are a Kamyn" using his right hand a flamethrower of flames lauched from Tristan's hand and towards Vay as Tristan continued his charge on Varion ready to swing his blade with his left hand at any moment

"You clearly think me a bigger fool than I am, if you think I hadn't figured that one out by now," Vay snarled at Tristan. He knew exactly what he was doing. "But you can't be in two places at once, can you?" he asked, as he raised with one hand a barrier of shadows against the fire, and with the other encircled Tristan with shadowy blades. "Just how good are you with that blade?" he asked, hoping Varion would take good use of the distraction Vay was providing. He grit his teeth slightly, as the fire hit the wall, which was comprised of a single shadow. He knew that his new found power had some limitation, and that he was fast approaching it.

"Son of a... looks like my clash with you will have to wait Varion" suddenly sliding Tristan waited for the shadow swords to move in close until he began to rotate "360 slasher!" spinning at high speed Tristan cut down as many of the blades as he could but not with out being hit by two or three quickly jumping to his feet Tristan bit down on his lip as silver flames appeared on the areas he had been cut quickly to burn any cuts shut once again "Seems I'll need to cut you down first Vay best strategy with a shadow user like you is simple..." Suddenly vanishing Tristan appeared in front of Vay a serious look in his eyes "Close combat!" with silver flames forming around his right leg Tristan kicked upward aiming for Vay's jaw 

When he saw violence ensuing, Jasper was able to summon blighter, but nothing else. Instead, he just stood there, frozen from shock that his judgement could possibly be so awful. Vay betraying didn't surprise him, he was too crazy not to seem suspicious. The same went with Varion, he seemed too nice and perfect not to be hiding something. But Kinzuko was different. On a mission this dangerous, trust was important if you wanted to survive. But he also knew that his fellow colleagues could very well have ulterior motives, so he decided he'd only risk trusting one person, and that person had been Kinzuko. She seemed so kind, so sincere, so tragic. Being apparently able to keep a chipper look on life, even with the curse she'd been dealt, was something Jasper respected and admired. And as sickening as the thought was, he'd even begun to grow feelings for her. All these years, Jasper had despised those who lied and deceived for power, and yet Kinzuko had been able to do just that right under his nose, and he was none the wiser! "This can't... how can this be happening?" Jasper stammered, but as he did, his expression began to harden from one of confusion and sadness to something much more serious... and perhaps a little terrifying.

 

Amber, however, was much quicker to act than Jasper. Sure, she was surprised that the three people to inherit Adriev's incredible powers were such murderous traitors, but Amber had plenty of experience with people being more devious than they seemed, and knew she needed to thin their numbers. And since they were all significantly more powerful than she was at the moment, she decided to try stopping one of them with words instead, and faced Vay, "Drale, if you're still in there, I beg of you, don't do this! You didn't want this to happen, I know you didn't! Please Drale, this isn't what Shandrew would have wanted, for you to kill off the rest of his teammates!"

Vay took the kick, and fell back a little ways away. "Pah! Is that the best you can do?" he spat out at Tristan, regaining his composure. He then took three shadows, and made the each into swords. "Let me assure you. You are WRONG on that point. And I have the advantage, wouldn't you say?" he asked, grasping a sword in each hand, the third one hovering above him. He spat out a little blood, and rushed Tristan, swinging the two swords he held, whilst the third hung back a little. "One sword versus three! And three versus one, for now at least," he exclaimed during his attack. He seemed oddly methodical in the way he attacked, because of how focused he was. He was so focused, he didn't even hear what Amber had yelled at him.

Smirking slightly Tristan appeared behind Val "I dont ever remember stating i only had one sword keep in mind Val your not the only one who can manipulate the element you control" seconds after saying that five flame swords appeared in the air behind Tristan "I understand that flames give birth to shadows Val but tell me are you aware that if there's enough fire enough a shadow can be burned away" vanishing once again Tristan began to move around Val with incredible speed "This is a technic i was saving to us against any traitors like you who might show themselves its a skill anyone can learn by simple using Ki my speed right now is due to instant movement lets see if you can keep up" Suddenly as if attacking from all sides Tristan replicated Val's earlier attack of where shadow blades surrounded Tristan except this time the roles were reversed and the blades where made of flames "I was trained to beat Adriev newbie Kamyn's like you who dont even know there power yet are only small fries compared to what i was trained to fight"

"To think I really trusted you all for a second... Your valiant fighting was moving." He snapped his drew his daggers, and looked at them. "Shall I die here? I hoped not...." He rushed at Vay as well. "You SCUM!" He would do a flurry of swipes and cuts. He was a kaymn himself, and he knew one flaw with his kind... They are always cocky..."You are nothing but a fool, Vay! You wield your power like a baby compared to me when I had it! "
