No reason really to buy a PS4 then, except KH3.

All the more reason to wait until there is a price drop before getting the PS4.  There are still a ton of game I can play on my PS3 :)

I got a PS4 because I wanted to get certain games on it. And my PS3 had just recently broke.

Looks like PS3 wins it's generation as expected.

Out of curiosity how exactly did it win? I have a PS3 and it's great but the fanboy in you is really showing if you think the PS3 won the last generation of consoles. It had a depressingly slow start, sold less than the Nintendo Wii and its online services could still be vastly improved especially when compared to Xbox Live. Sure Playstation Plus is a win and I'm sure the PS3 will have some last legs like the PS2 did but it hardly won last generation by a country mile, if at all.

No fanboy in me. Especially when I don't touch Sony handhelds. Anyway, I view the PS3 as the winner because of it's life span, yes it had a shit start but around about 2010 until now they've had an amazing run where the Wii jumped off a cliff and 360 slowed down.

When a consumer buys a console most want it to be supported for awhile, to continue getting good games deep into it's life cycle and to have a long life cycle. If the developers jump ship 4 or so years after it launches then it's generally depressing.

In that case, that's fair enough. PS3 will show that it can last for a few years next to the PS4 similar to what the PS2 did. Obviously Sony are more focused on the PS4 right now but they won't simply forget about the PS3 and that's a good thing especially for people who still own and use theirs on a regular basis. Third party support will definitely continue on the system at least until the end of 2015 and might stretch into the early parts of 2016. So at least there is that.
