Rise of Mana producer Masaru Oyamada, has confirmed he is (finally) working on an Android version of Secret of Mana. Thanks to Siliconera for the tip.

 

Secret of Mana was released on iOS back in 2010. Yep...

 

Hopefully the English version is released at the same time....don't want another Tactics: The War of the Lions scenario where we're still waiting now (1.5 years later)...

Correct. One from way back before the likes of great Square Enix games like Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts

Eh, I'll wait for it to just hit the Wii U virtual console like it did on the Wii.

 

That, or I could just transfer my copy on Wii over to the Wii U but...... eh. Secret of Mana is a great game and one of my favourites but I don't really want to play a port on Android. Cool that it has been released on Android but I'd much rather play it on console. Heck it already exists on the Wii U VC in Japan as it is so fingers crossed it gets put on the Wii U VC in the west too.

I'm pretty sure it came out last year in Japan on the Wii U VC. Yeah it sucks that SE haven't really given much thought to the Wii U or 3DS VC here in the west. They have a great backlog that's for sure.
