Exiblade7 1,917 Posted July 30, 2014 I've though about this very carefully and I noticed that the music in Twilight Princess are more dark and creppy while the music in the wind waker is pleasant, happy, and peaceful. Here is an example of one of Twilight Princess's music: and here's an example of one of the wind waker's music: This just makes my wonder how the music in Zelda U will sound like. I think it's going to sound very similar to the wind waker's music.
Keyblade Master Xoncron 499 Posted July 30, 2014 I think it has more to do with the tone of the game's plot than the art style. 3 Hero of Winds, Jilly Shears and Ruby Rose reacted to this
Exiblade7 1,917 Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) I think it has more to do with the tone of the game's plot than the art style. That would make sense. That would make sense. In twilight princess, the game's plot was dark therefore most of the songs in the game are dark. In the wind waker the plot of the game wasn't as dark as Twilight Princess was so the songs in that are light hearted. There are barley any dark-like music in the wind waker, Edited July 30, 2014 by Zeldablade7
Ruby Rose 8,591 Posted July 30, 2014 I think it depends on the composer
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted July 30, 2014 It's not really the art style music goes off of. Most composers make the soundtrack based on story elements or the tone of the story. Wind Waker held a lot of silly moments and magical moments. The music fit for the tone of points like those. Kingdom Hearts has soundtracks for characters even and characters are mostly elements to a plot line. Kairi moments get Kairi music, same with Sora and Riku with their music. Roxas has The Other Promise and Xion has one that makes me teary eyed every time I hear it.

Basically saying, the music lets us feel the tone that the creature wants us to see. I have ever thought of it like that this way before. Caity 3,946 Posted July 30, 2014 I think they tweak the tunes to help set the tone of the game. Like I thought the sound when you pick up an item is much chirpier in WW than OoT
kingdomlanelover 494 Posted July 30, 2014 When Yoko Shimomura makes music for the Kingdom Hearts games, all she is given is a plot summary of the world and a single screenshot of concept art. It's amazing how much she is able to do with so little information! I'm sure all composers are the same way. 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this
