I'm quite concerned about the plot of KHIII

Posted

With KH1,CoM,KH2, and BBS we got whole new casts of characters which made for exciting and interesting plots. In DDD however, nothing really points towards new characters in the franchise. There wasn't a new character in DDD, and all of the organization came back(besides a few),all of the darkness's so far are characters we already knew about, and all of the guardians of light are going to be reoccuring characters. Does this bother you? Because it sure as hell bothers me. There are no new personalities to flesh out, and nothing to really excite me like the secret endings of KH1 and 2, along with the Roxas appearance in the original CoM. The story has kind of been laid out for us too. 7 lights 13 darknesses and guardians of light. Most of the plot seems pretty predictable.

I don't really mind what they do as long as they keep the time travel to an extreme limit because that really messes with my head

358/2 wasn't trying to advance the plot too much, so it made for good dialouge and pacing.

I still think Kingdom Hearts 3D was meant to exist in order to trigger the events of Kingdom Hearts III. If Nomura made the plot that way, it's because he wanted it to be like that. What you're saying here is basically that you don't like how he developed the last part of the Kingdom Hearts Saga, that doesn't mean it is accordingly bad

not to intrude but I agree with u but u have to agree time travel and the way nomura handled it does leave much to be desired

That is because we don't even know Kingdom Hearts III plot yet. What Kingdom Hearts 3D technically is, is the first part of Kingdom Hearts III, and people can't go around saying the plot is bad when we don't even know the rest of it

again true but that still scares people considering how hard it is to write good timetravel story's with ought writing themselves in to plot hole abyss

We have to trust Nomura, plus, he is very well aware that he mustn't firetruck up. And I think he would have thought twice before using a scenario element if he himself knew he couldn't handle it

but that's the thing all of them thought they could do it to. But how about we just drop this and pray for nomura to have planed this all from the beginning and 3 turns out to be great like everyone here wants it to be.

He already did screw up time travel. He made the game to where very little of the fanbase knew what was going on because of his terrible use of time travel.

He could have thought something about Kingdom Hearts III back in Kingdom Hearts II time, but not everything for sure. Anyway I trust him, I'm sure he'll give us the masterpiece we need :D

I've read stuff. When you look into it it's hard to understand it. Besides, how good is a story really when you have to look at a wiki to kind of understand it?

answer:not very good

Kingdom Hearts 3D is totally understandable, it doesn't matter how complex it is. What is ununderstandable yet, still has to be cleared up in Kingdom Hearts III. So put your disappoint apart until Kingdom Hearts III, then your free to put it back up if needed

KH III is supposed to be wrapping up things for the Xehanort Saga so I don't think there should any new characters . I mean , heck , we are probably gonna be introduced to some new people from the 13 Darknesses .

Hopefully. DDD had no new characters and it has the worst story of any game by far.

You will when the plot ends up as bad as DDD's was.

I found DDD's story amazing, with a lot of plot twists and the introduction of new concepts (like Time Travel, Nobodies can grow their own heart, the Real Goal of the Organization XIII). I loved the story of DDD, but hey that's just my opinion

DDD story was kinda chaotic, KHIII should clear all the mess... who knows what Nomura will take out...

What? In BBS he was in the opening and he was a secret boss.

Whoops, I thought you said Kingdom Hearts 3D not BBS! But he's at elastin there three times!

If Nomura did what he did with the plot, means that it was necessary for what he had in mind for Kingdom Hearts III, don't you think? And retconning is a scenario writing element so there's nothing wrong in using it where it fits (yes I think it fits)

Ya he obviously thought one Xehanort wasn't enough and that Kingdom Hearts 3 should wrap up loose ends and stuff. Besides there's going to be a huge clash with the 13 SoD which will obviously be important for the plot like keyblader 95 said and it will just be awesome! Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to end the Xehanort sega with a bang! I think your just worrying too much! Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be epic!

If you keep adding new characters, you can't explore different possibilities with the ones you've already established.

ddd was more young xehanort based also twewy charecters were introduced also master xehanort and new organization 13

I feel like the story is going to be a mess. Not for the same reasons as you. I'm just pretty sure there will be a billion retcons and bullshit twists. That go against many things that nomura has said before.

I'm still voting that Xehanort isn't the real mastermind. Everything is just falling too perfectly into place for that too be anywhere hear the truth. DDD taught me that anything is possible, and right now I smell lies, about 5 plot twists, new characters that all have voices deeper than poetry, and a bunch of fans going "Huh??"
