A proposal about custom user titles.

Posted

Here's an idea, I want to see what people think about it. Currently we've been giving out "custom user titles" for various reasons, as a reward for whatever. Now, what if everyone was allowed to have a custom user title, and instead, for a reward system, we had "badges". This would be a little symbol under your username which could be given out for various reasons. There would be multiple "badges", each with different requirements, etc. What do you think?

I personally think the idea of badges is a simply woderful idea! I think it would be really cool! And it would make things even more interesting! I'm all for this!!

I support the badges idea for two reasons now: 1. Like Paopu said, it would make things more interesting and bring more enthusiasam to the website. and 2. Because of the badges bringing enthusiasam to the site, more people will be convinced to stay since they seem to like the idea

'Sora96' pid='192766' ]Not a bad idea, but i prefer Custom Titles are for Good Members, Staff Members. and maybe for those who get 100 Rep? And maybe other ways.

For those reward things that could be for those who Contributed in the Projects, winning them in Contests. Get 100 Rep, reaching 1000 Posts etc.

good idea DC and sora so far, the only one who would get a 100 or a 1000 rep soon after DC allows these badges would be me cuz i had a 1000 rep in like november 11 2009 or around there

I don't think badges are going to be that interesting to keep someone to leaving. Thats just over-exagerating a few things.

But we must agree with Kumo.

Thats because Aaron gave you all that Rep.

oh well, at least the badge thing here is a great idea

i was wondering, when we do this, how will the best of KH13 forum work?

would it be someone with a certain number of badges can post or something?

Maybe a badge that goes along with the best of kh13? Dunno. We'll probably have to think more about that. xD

I don't think any badge should be post-related unless it's like... "quality poster" or something. =

THIS

So... this has gotten nothing but positive reception.

Does that mean we getting CUTS?

ONE QUESTION!

Will the status of "best of" forum stll be limited to those with badges, as opposed to CUTS?

Exactly what i was going to ask, RoxSox. How does one go about gaining access to the Best Of forum?

I suppose this is redundant and uneeded but I support the Badges too.

Yeah, because if we go through with this,,, everyones gonna have access to said forum, which I guess isn't a bad thing... just... still, seems fitting that people have to still earn something to get in there.
