I was thinking about it and, what was the org 13 trying to accomplish with Castle oblivion? Sending all those people there and Namine, luring sora there...What were they trying to accomplish?

 

Was luring Sora the whole reason they sent everyone there or was that Marluxia being treacherous?

In which case what were they planning on using sora for after they lured him?

Did he send them there for a different reason- in which case xemnas why would you send known traitors so far away from you?

I know they sent axel to kill the traitors but why? Why not just kill them, publicly, as an example?

 

I mean, was your (xemnas) entire plan for them to put sora out of commission in order to allow roxas and xion to collect hearts? Thats insanely risky giving that mission to known traitors. If that was the case, give it to those you trust!

 

I know Xemnas had been looking for Ven in CO, but hadnt found it after attempting many times. But really, in COM what were they trying to accomplish (the org not Marluxia and co)

 

I know that Marluxia and co tried to use sora to take over the org, and that Xemnas knew who the traitors were sending them to CO. If Xemnas wanted them dead and knew about their treachery, WHY WOULD HE SEND THEM A HALF WORLD AWAY?!! WHY NOT JUST KILL THEM AND KNOT RISK THEM ACTUALLY SUCCEEDING AT USING SORA AT CO!!

 

I mean, if he sent them there for sora to deal with, that is stupid. Why risk them succeeding and taking over sora? And that goes back to, what the heck was Xemnas trying to accomplish at CO? Did i just miss/forget something? I am so confused

The team was sent there for research, and to root out exactly who the traitors were. Xemnas wasn't entirely certain of who, and didn't want to risk losing members who were not part of the traitors. Vexen, Lexaeus and Zexion were there to continue on the Replica Project, according to them anyway. And perhaps Xemnas was also using this as a way of covering more ground and finding the Chamber of Repose more effectively and quicker. Plus a failsafe was made in case the traitors did almost succeed in controlling Sora: Axel.

Yeah, I've been confused by the Organization motives at C.O. for a long time considering we only knew Marluxia's plans. Like Caxkj said, they were sent there for research on the Replica Program and to root out the traitors. But as for why exactly Sora was lured there is still a bit of a mystery. I'm assuming Xemnas wanted Sora there to complete Xion and therefore put him out of commission using Namine's powers but I wonder if the Organization's true motives were a reason. Say that it was only Marluxia and Larxene that were destroyed, including Xion, that leaves the Organization with 12 members. Who would've been the 13th? Sora? Which isn't a far stretch considering he was targeted in 3D. Or maybe Ventus if Xemnas had found him in the Chamber of Repose(which was very unlikely).Maybe Riku or Repliku, since Riku was considered until Symphony of Sorcery in 3D.

Xemnas is a very calculated and tactful Nobody, and as such, he thought the best way to root out the traitors was by sending them to Castle Oblivion, you could say Xemnas let them loose, to see what they'd do outside The World That Never Was.  The result being Larxene and Marluxia trying to overthrow the Organization, and then Axel finding out their true intentions.  Sora took out Larxene and Marluxia, and that suited Axel just fine.  I'm guessing Xemnas wanted to send the would be traitors there not just to do research, but to see how far would they go to overthrow the Organization if they were indeed traitors.  Xemnas is a very calculated man, very calculated indeed. O.O

1they were looking for the chamber that Ventus was hidden in

 

2the cloning project that was supervised by Xemnas and Vexen might be a part of the cloning plan that master Xehanort had in mind

 

3Xion was pretty much created to become the Organization's own Sora that absorbs all of his memories.....and pretty much becomes the 13th vessel Xehanort was looking for

Xemnas used CO for many reasons. He was able to kill multiple birds with one stone with CO.

 

1- He could look for the Chamber of Sleep or whatever it's called (Ventus is in there)

2-He could get rid of the traitors by letting Sora loose in there.(Let the carnivorous rats loose in the cage. They'll eventually devour one another)

3-Research. Testing the Replica Program. Looking at the current potential of Namine's powers.
