Smash Bros for Wii U\3DS wins Gamescom's most wanted game award

Posted

Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS has won the consumer’s choice award at this year’s Gamescom. Taking place in Germany, Cologne, the games convention began earlier this week and asked consumers what their “most wanted” title was from the array of games on show. Earlier today, the official Gamescom Twitter account revealedNintendo’s upcoming brawler as the game of choice for avid gaming fans.

A number of other Nintendo games are up for awards from this year’s convention, including the colourful third-person shooter Splatoon as well as Yoshi’s Woolly World and Super Smash Bros. For the full list of the Gamescom 2014 nominees, you can check them out here.

No surprise.

Well in terms of the European market I would've expect them to vote for something like Rise of the Tomb Raider but Smash Bros winning makes me very happy

smash for ever!

If anything else had gotten this reward, I would have been incredibly disappointed.
