Kids need to learn how to talk to their parents these days.

Like, there was this 8 year-old punk cussing out his mother.
Like what?
WAT?!

I hear kids cussing out each other too! If I did that when I was their age my booty would be on a platter.

I also think the parents are at fault here too. I've seen kids acting like complete brats towards their mom or dad and instead of teaching them why that is wrong or reprimanding them, they just take it and let their child say/do whatever.

The issue is kids need a good smack upside the head and to be put under harsh punishment. If the parents won't teach em when they're young, they will have to learn when they're grown, and it's hard to teach a grown person how to act.

Righto.

It's the parents as much as it is the kids.

If kids do somehting wrong, you gotta make sure they know it's wrong.

Don't let it slide.

Don't encourage them.

Just do your job as a parent and PARENT YOUR CHILDREN.

I was raised in the South, so having manners wasn't an option. If you didn't throw a <Yes mam'> or <Yes sir> in your replies, you were doomed. And don't even think about rolling your eyes, because that was automatically a death sentence.

Cussing is a bad habit in general, but seeing kids do it is worse. Then you see them using that colourful language to their parents...

Oh the humanity.

Peace!

nowadays i see kids cussing at younger and younger ages.

no reprimanding will lead to tolerance to these horrid kinds of things

Ahh.... This generation is getting more and more terrible. How lovely to know that.

I mean, I'm probably not the most respectful person to my parents (I'm sarcastic to an extreme and blunt with my criticisms), but I'd never curse them out unless I was fixing to get beaten and grounded (possibly kicked out if I were 18). Heck, I'm hesitant to even swear with my friends, and they fire off crap like that left and right, some of them in front of their own parents. X_X
