The devs are already patching it and  plan to give it long term support, including mode expansions and DLC (which includes new characters)

So pretty much the Japanese gamers now are a guinea pigs to test games before it's worldwide release if you mean that

Exactly what I mean, they get the games earlier than us, they can figure out all the glitches. They deserve so to speak considering they're getting the games so much earlier than outside territories.
