For the first time ever, Dragon Quest I has been released in Australia and Europe. It is now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store worldwide. II & III are confirmed to follow in the coming months.

Which ones? They could release the NES/SNES or GBC versions on the Virtual Console. Might have a problem with the old "Dragon Warrior" title though.

 

But they can't port the iOS/Android versions until 3DS supports it like Vita does now.

Yeah, they should, I see zero reason why they can't in Japan for starters. But instead they did that 25th anniversary release on Wii.
