(OKAY GUYS. Just a quick few things I forgot to mention. Please follow this rp so that y'all will know when a post is made, and also if someone doesn't post for a while just let that person know. On with the rp!)"I hope you all amuse me..."Roxas was already up in this fine morning in Asnia. Usually his brother woke up first, however the sounds of his father working always woke Roxas right up. He wanted to see the cool new weapons that were being made. He swung around downstairs, said hi to his mother, and ran right outside to greet his father at the forge. "Hey dad!"The father chuckled, and showed Roxas a rather fancy looking sword. "This here is made out of Orichalcum. Pretty deadly. Why don't you call your brother down to see?"Roxas chuckled, and slipped into the front door. "NERD-""Roxas!" The father scolded."...Ventus! Dad wants you to wake up and come downstairs!" he turned right back around. He expected Ventus to be up anyway... he did after all, put a spider on his pillow. If Roxas had a watch, he would check it. "I give it three seconds." he mused to himself.

Meanwhile, another page in a storybook was currently scrambling to get ready for his own day. This man was Corvo Attano. He was to adopt from an orphanage that day; and unfortunately he had just gotten back from a rather deadly contract he just completed. Escorting a messenger through a dungeon. How bad could it be? He currently was living in an inn, however for legal purposes he bought a little cottage like home next to the inn and some farmer and her magic student son. One of the maids was fixing him up."Corvo, you look like a mess."I know, I know." He ran a hand through his hair. "Look, I gotta go. See you soon.""Corvo!"He turned around. "What?"

The maid sighed. "You have blood on your face." The man sighed and just licked his thumb to wipe the blood off. He just then hurried out the door to go to the orphanage. He didn't want to be late.

"Delsin, come on!" said Ventus, following Roxas. The guards were everywhere. In the kitchen, upstairs, the forge.

"V-Ventus, Roxas!" cried the mother. "What is going on-- wait, Rick!"  "Dad! No!" Ventus couldn't believe it. Their dad took the blame on him.

"No..!"

Miles then came by. Ventus didn't even have the strength to talk.

"Ah. I see." said Namine. She herself had some coins too. "Okay! Let's all go to the market." Namine wanted something sweet, so she thought maybe a cupcake would be fine. She looked at Kirby. "Um.. Kirby, are you sure you want to take the shard with you? What if it starts to glow again?"

Kirby turned to Namine and slowly nodded his head in bravery. He grabbed a basket that was bigger than him and held it over his head with both hands. He then opened the door wide open for the rest of his pals, mostly making sure the Scotsman had enough room to squeeze out. He held the basket on his head with the other hand. He smiled at them all as they headed out the door.

"Poyo, poyo!", Kirby shouted in glee.

After everyone was out, he shut the door.

~Link Baxter~ "Woah, woah!" Link said as the shop was quickly emptied out by a group of people."I can see that you guys are in a rush, but can you tell me if you've noticed anything suspicious going on? Almost Magical?" He asked the group before they could go too far. Maybe they knew something that he didn't.~Miles Thompson~ Miles proceeded down the left hall, but there were doors lining both sides, and none of them had labels. The keys he aquired could only get him so far; He doubted the keys would get him into the Wardens office, or the jail cells for that matter. He looked into each window, hoping no one would take too much notice of his new face. He kept wandering the hall, hoping that he would see something in one of the doors. Six doors down, there. On the right side of the left hall, inside the window, the Wardens tag. He had hoped, wait, no, he saw the large key set. "Can I help you?" A large voice boomed behind him. Miles turned around to see a large man with broad shoulders staring him down. "I uh... I'm here to meet with the Warden?" Miles said unconfidently. "Heh, you must be new. I'm the Warden! Come on in!" The Warden opened the door. It wasn't locked... And the two walked into the room together. Miles chuckled nervously.

Yu walked towards the flower shop with Naomi when a large crowd of people left, one of which he recognized, it was Kirby. Yu put his hand up to wave and say hi but the words just wouldn't come out. "Yu, are you okay?" Naomi asked politely.

"Y-Yeah, i'm fine, let's go." Yu replied. He approached the door and walked in. Yu and Naomi looked around "Whoever picks out the best flowers for mother wins." Naomi said to Yu in a cheery tone. "Okay, you're on!" Yu replied, they both scattered and started searching.

Delsin waited in the cover of the brush for some sign of his new Friends safety. he was worried. he couldn't help him from out here. but he knew miles would do just fine. he was headstrong and determined. and they way he took the knife impressed delsin. there was no hesitation whatsoever. he needn't worry about him. it had been five minutes now.

~Miles Thompson~   The warden looked Miles up and down, giving him quite the inspection. "So, what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?" He said, walking circles around Miles, who stood perfectly still and faced forward, like he had read about in books. "The recent prisoner... the Mother of the twins, has escaped!" He didn't know what else to say. At least this way, they may fall short of the mark, and go search for her. "Really? Are you certain?" The Warren said, nearly sarcastically. "Yes sir!" Miles said, full confidence. Even if it was a lie, he was confident they would believe it. The Warren let out a chuckle, and then smiled. "That's funny. I just left her cell recently. You're lying. Now tell me-" Two guards entered the room. One happened to be the one Miles stole the clothes from... and he was still nearly naked. "Who are you?" The Guards grasped Miles by the arms and held him in place. "My... My name is Link Baxter! I am a well known Warrior, and if you don't let me go peacefully, I'll tear down this whole facility!" Another lie. The room remained silent. They had heard that Link was a young warrior, but didn't know how young. The guards didn't move, and the Warren remained silent. He looked up to Miles and said "Prove it." Miles was in trouble now. How was he going to make it out of this one? He struggled to break free, but it didn't help. The knife he had held in his pocket wasn't going to help if he didn't have hands... unless... Miles shoved his leg into the guard on the right, knocking him unconscious due to the knife's enchantments. The clothes he had worn were now torn at the pocket, but if it saves him, he didn't care. He then used his free hand to take the knife, and tip it once again into the clotheless guard. Both hands were free, and it was "Link" and the Warden. The Warden laughed. "So, you really ARE Link Baxter. Well then, Link. What are you here for?" Miles looked the Warden dead in the eye. He walked as close as he could without touching him. "Justice." Miles said, as he stabbed the guard in the arm. Not just pressed the tip, but stabbed him.

The Warden was knocked out, giving Miles the opportunity to grab the keys and go. He ran around, looking door to door again for the Cells... eventually he heard the yelling of a Woman in a nearby investigation room. He looked into the window. It was her! Miles quickly unlocked the door, and grasped the woman. "Please don't scream, I'm here to rescue you." Miles whispered. The woman looked back into Miles eyes. Miles was saddened by the reminder that her husband was also taken, but he had checked nearly every room here. "I don't think your husband is here. For now, we need to get you safe." Miles walked the woman out, holder her hands behind her back, as if he was Guard himself. He walked calmly down the hall, telling the mother that she was to get interrogated as soon as the Warden returned. The Guards at the entrance stopped Miles. "Where are you taking her?" One asked. Miles laughed, and once again stabbed the two guards in the arms. Miles and the Mother ran outside together. "DEL, COME ON!" He yelled. He couldn't stop running, so he just yelled out for his newfound friend.((SORRY FOR THE LONG READ))

Roxas tried his best to nibble on the herbs. The punch made his jaw ache. He groaned and leaned back in the bed. "Ven-" he breathed. He only ever refered to his brother by his nickname when the situation was dire. He felt terrible. He felt like the entire situation was his fault- which it is. He reached out and grabbed Ventus by his arm. "I-I'm sorry...." He muttered weakly. He felt as tough his whole entire brain was shooken up. His head throbbed from the brute force and his side felt terrible; that's where the guard had kicked him earlier. He held his side, trying his best to chew. "Th-is... My f-fault..."

Meanwhile Vanitas was watching the pathetic weakling cower. He barked out in laughter at what Dawn had said. "The fool even dared his superior to shut up and called in a asshole!" His laughing died down and he rested his chin on his wrist. "How amusing..." He looked to his partner. "I have an idea... The guards and mages are so turbulent now. Maybe we should spark a fight... Maybe even a war."

~Dawn Estheim~ Dawn looked back to his partner in crime and smiled. This man was brilliant."Now you're talking!" Dawn was ready for a War. She didn't need a purpose- the Chaos of it all was enough for her. She laughed, maybe a little too loudly. She covered her mouth and giggled a little, before looking back to see the two brothers again.

(jeez man, TLDR much? Lol :) )

Del was sitting against a tree when he heard the commotion. "Holy shit, nice work!" but miles didn't smile back. he just kept running. delsin took the hint and as he did he heard miles yell. the situation was serious. delsin broke into a sprint, faster than he had ever ran before. he started to catch up to them. "lets take her to the inn so she can see her boys! Its this way!" del could navigate a forest. he had been doing it for years. the trio peeled to the right and deftly moved through the woods. they burst out into the town and down woods road from the inn. almost home free! when they got inside and up the stairs, they slowed down. they were exhausted, and only moments away from reuniting ventus and roxas with their mother.

~Miles Thompson~ Miles tiredly tossed the Enchanted Knife back to Del."Mind the blood." He puffed. I did what I had to do. Miles told himself. It's not like I killed anyone. If Link had found out he impersonated him, he would probably laugh. He'd be proud that his name is so well known for Justice. Just the pride of it all made Miles scoff.

"Well ma'am, would you like to see your boys?" delsin asked, as he wiped the knife on his pants and re-sheathed it. she nodded tiredly, but with a smile on her face. Del opened up the the door to the boys room, and went in first. he looked at roxas. "mission accoplished." With a huge smile on his face, he stepped to the side and watched as the twins mother walked into the room.

~Miles Thompson~ Miles gave Del a quick low-five, so they could avoid being seen doing it."Del, let's not ruin the moment for them. We should wait downstairs." Miles was worried. The Guards know where she lives. What if they come back again?

"oh yeah, right," something in miles voice told him he needed to speak with him. when they got the the lobby, delsin got them both a drink. they were exhausted. "What is it miles?"

~Miles Thompson~ "I think" Miles started before he realized he spoke a little too loudly. He lowered his voice and continued. "I think we should keep our eyes on this family. The Guards know where they can find them and I don't want to have to go through all that again." Miles realized he was still wearing the Guards clothes. He planned to keep them, who knows when they could become useful again. He could just patch up the small hole and get to it.

"yeah, your right. they can stay here at the inn, just down the hall form me. ill keep watch overnight. theres no way we can let them go home yet. its too risky." "so tell me. what did you have to do in there?" he and miles sat there and talked a while, sipping on their beverages. Delsin was engrossed. "and then i....." Miles would say. when he was done. delsin was dumb founded. it was incredible. He set down his empty mug and stood. "those are some of the most incredible feats of bravery i have ever heard in my years traveling asnia. its an honor to call you my friend." he held out his had for miles to shake. He accepted, and del pulled him out of his seat and into a hug. "im glad your okay. now lets get back upstairs. we need to talk to them."

The door opened. "M-Mom?!" said Ventus, as he quickly stood up. "Ventus! Roxas!" said the mom, as tears rolled down her cheek. She hugged

Ventus and didn't want to let go. Ventus tried his best to hold back the tears. "Mom, I'm so glad you're okay..." He looked over to Miles and Delsin.

"Thank you." he whispered to them. Wendy (the mom) finally let go of Ventus and went over to Roxas. "Oh, my little baby...What have they done to you..."

Roxas limped slightly and leaned on Ventus for support. They had traveled from the house and over to the inn. Roxas was at least conscious now but his jaw and stomach still hurt like hell. Roxas looked down. He couldn't bare to look at his mother. Instead he closed his eyes shut and tried to will the guilt away. "I-I'm sorry mom..." He whispered. The worst was to come; if his father was hanged it would be on his hands. 'This is my fault... I did this.' All for a stupid good luck charm. The people around were looking at him. He didn't like the stares. "C-Can we go somewhere..." He coughed a bit. "Somewhere quiet and warm..." Right now he just wanted to lay down with his mother and take a nap. Just like he used to with Ventus when they were little and upset. Everything was so shiny and perfect when you're a little boy or girl.

Meanwhile Vanitas was getting a kick out of this. "I think the tough one is crying." He mused from outside. He thought about this war too. How to tigger it and who to manipulate. He'd want to pit the light mages against the king. "I need to find some more souls. I want to get stronger. Not that I need to, everyone here is just a feckless weakling."

Wendy hugged her son. "It's not your fault. Even if you bought that charm, it doesn't matter now. You'll soon be able to see your dad."

But then..."Oh. Well then, where would you like to go? We can rent a room here in the inn... just for you, your brother and me." she said, holding his hands.

~Miles Thompson~ "Don't worry about paying." Miles spoke loud enough for the Twins and their Mom to hear. "As a Royal Guard, I get to rent rooms here at a Discount. I'll pay for a room for all of you." Miles felt that this was the safest place for them to stay for the time being. "Of course, that is, if you let me."

She heard the kid. "I..."  She looked at Roxas and Ventus. Then to him again. "Please."

(short post. Wow. Sorry.)

Delsin smiled. He could tell how happy this made miles. He was practically beaming in his stolen guard outfit.

~Miles Thompson~ This was probably the best day of his young life. He not only saved a family, but helped them move into a safer place. If only Link could see him now..."One moment." Miles briefly left the family to talk to the nice lady at the counter. "My, this is a busy day, isn't it? How can I help you?" She seemed unconditionally happy, as if nothing in the world could ruin her happiness. "I'd like to order a room? Maybe one of your finer ones?" He looked around the room as the Inn Keeper pulled out a piece of paper. She took a few moments to read it, and then smiled back at Miles. "Ah, I see. At the moment, our finest room is on the top floor, one room, two beds, one kitchen and bath. Is that alright?" Miles grinned and nodded. He offered the coins he kept in his pocket. "This is enough for three days. Thank you! Enjoy your stay." The nice lady handed him the key, and answered the next person waiting in line. Miles walked back to the group of four, and handed the key over to the Mother. "At the moment, I have you reserved for three days. I'll see what I can rustle up between then, and if you need to stay longer, I've got you covered." He gave a smile to Del, who had helped him out so much already. It was nice, getting to know new people.

Roxas slightly smiled. That sounded really nice. "Thanks Delsin... Thanks Miles... But aren't you not a guard?" He asked, the question being drawn to a whisper so others won't hear. He saw Miles' boss and knew a little bit of Cid. His father trades supplies to the shop sometimes. Roxas then shrugged. To be honest, he didn't care right now. His mother was safe and that's what important. "Can you both... Stay with us?" He winded and pressed his side. He was going to get a nasty bruise in the morning.

~Miles Thompson~ Miles smiled again. Lots of smiling today, he thought to himself. He looked to Del, knowing he already had a room here. "I'd be happy to stay." Miles couldn't help but let his emotions run all over the place. This was a great day, and tomorrow was looking to be quite relaxing. "I just have to let Link know that I won't be home. And Roxas?" He looked to the boy who questioned his Guardianship. "Do I have a story to tell you! I'll tell it as soon as I get back."

She took the key. "Thank you." she said softly.

"Roxas, let me take you to the room." said Ventus. "Come on, mom, help me out."

~Miles Thompson~ Miles walked the path back home alone, giving him some time to think to himself. A lot had happened in the last two days, it has been seemingly endless events strung together. No, not strung, Chained. The links he's made with the people he's met... are harder to break than just some regular strings. He wasn't even as close to Link as he was to Del.

Maybe Link and I just aren't compatible. Now that I think about it, how did we even end up as close as we think we are? Sure, I care for him and all, but... he just seems so distant all the time. Why have I only realized this today? Maybe I shouldn't live with him anymore. It might be better for both of us if we go our separate ways. We wouldn't have to worry as much.   Miles arrived home quicker than he had anticipated. He was only going to be here long enough to gather his belongings and leave a note. Miles went to his room to say his final goodbyes before packing all his clothes, coin and personals into his pouch. He took one last glimpse before heading out. He posted the note on the Table, where he and Link had eaten breakfast earlier this morning. It was nice to have a final meal.
