(OKAY GUYS. Just a quick few things I forgot to mention. Please follow this rp so that y'all will know when a post is made, and also if someone doesn't post for a while just let that person know. On with the rp!)"I hope you all amuse me..."Roxas was already up in this fine morning in Asnia. Usually his brother woke up first, however the sounds of his father working always woke Roxas right up. He wanted to see the cool new weapons that were being made. He swung around downstairs, said hi to his mother, and ran right outside to greet his father at the forge. "Hey dad!"The father chuckled, and showed Roxas a rather fancy looking sword. "This here is made out of Orichalcum. Pretty deadly. Why don't you call your brother down to see?"Roxas chuckled, and slipped into the front door. "NERD-""Roxas!" The father scolded."...Ventus! Dad wants you to wake up and come downstairs!" he turned right back around. He expected Ventus to be up anyway... he did after all, put a spider on his pillow. If Roxas had a watch, he would check it. "I give it three seconds." he mused to himself. 

 

Meanwhile, another page in a storybook was currently scrambling to get ready for his own day. This man was Corvo Attano. He was to adopt from an orphanage that day; and unfortunately he had just gotten back from a rather deadly contract he just completed. Escorting a messenger through a dungeon. How bad could it be? He currently was living in an inn, however for legal purposes he bought a little cottage like home next to the inn and some farmer and her magic student son. One of the maids was fixing him up."Corvo, you look like a mess."I know, I know." He ran a hand through his hair. "Look, I gotta go. See you soon.""Corvo!"He turned around. "What?"

The maid sighed. "You have blood on your face." The man sighed and just licked his thumb to wipe the blood off. He just then hurried out the door to go to the orphanage. He didn't want to be late. 

(Hey Ven and Hargle, you guys can skip to morning when you're both ready to since Naminè and Kirby are having a chat.)

Silver woke up on the chair in the corner of the room and did a mighty stretch. His room had only one bed, so he asked if they can move a cot into the room for a small payment of 1000 coin. They did, so Link and Sonic had a bed. He was going to get one for himself... That is, if he hadn't fallen asleep at the desk looking through his enchanted spell book. Boy, did his back feel like utter horse feces. He looked to his two friends. "Guys, wake up." He said distortedly due to a yawn he just did. "Come on....neyhhhh!" (I don't know how go type yawning okay gosh)

 

Roxas let out a small groan, then a whine, and turned around in bed and swatted Delsin's hand away. "Dad go away..." He muttered. "Five more minutes..." After a few seconds, he finally came to, and looked to Delsin with tired eyes. "Delsin...? Why are you up... It's like... Really early..." Then Delsin mentioned hunting. "Wait, hunting? I want to go!" He immediately say up. Roxas looked over to Ventus. He wanted Ventus to come since they were always together, and Tails too so he wouldn't be left out. But alas, four people is too much to go hunting at once.

 

Vanitas woke up in his tree, immediately feeling like crap. Sleeping in trees do no justice to your back. But that wasn't the least of his concerns, for he noticed a bird. A baby raven at that, just chilling on his stomach. The bird looked like a little fluffy ball of jet black fluffy feathers at it slept. Vanitas' eyes widened. "What the FIRETRUCK?!" He silently yelled in the tree, surprised that the bird didn't wake up. He almost fell right out of the tree. He looked to Dawn, hoping she would wake up. "Dawn!" He whispered sharply. "Dawn!!!"

~Dawn Estheim~ Dawn hadn't dreamt all night, although she slept as easily as a baby. She jumped upright at the sound of Vanitas' sharp voice. She stretched widely, giving out a great yawn! "Neeyhhhh!" Huh... that's a funny noise for a yawn, she thought. She looked up at Vanitas, who had been calling for her. "What's wrong?"~Link/Needleson~ Silver's voice caused Sonic to rise out of cot. Although he hadn't had that much sleep, he felt plenty rested and as good as ever! Link, however, continued to snooze away in bed. He had never been one to rise so easily. So, Sonic took the initiative, and pushed Link off the Bed. Link shrieked, perhaps a shriek that Sonic would never let Link forget anytime in the future. "HAhah! Wake up, sunshine!" Sonic laughed his way into the lobby to buy the group a breakfast. Link rubbed the back of his head, which was throbbing due to the short fall. "Huh...? What...?" Link called out. He looked to Silver, who seemed to not get a good rest.~Miles Thompson~ Noticing the sounds of Delsin rising, Miles pried his eyes open, still wanting a few minutes of sleep, but knowing he couldn't really afford them. Instead of joining the group upstairs, Miles began cooking a breakfast for the group, using whatever he could find in the kitchen. Hmm... Eggs, Bacon, and Toast, or biscuits with gravy and oatmeal? Needless to say, Tails went with the more appealing option of Eggs, Bacon, and Toast. But he didn't make it like everyone else, no. He created bowl like eggs, that he filled with bacon bits and some spices and other additives, with toast on the side. He wafted in the aroma of the food, thinking back to the days when he and Link had cooked for eachother. After making a set amount of each, Miles let out his breathe victoriously, but his hands on his waist, and said "Finished." He looked upstairs without walking a single step, and called out. "Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreakfast!" The same way he would call Link to the table... only with him, it usually required Tails walking straight up to his ear.

Vanitas tried his best to 'shoo' the bird away, but it wouldn't budge. He didn't want to move much, lest he fall off of the tree, bust his ass, and probably get the crap pecked out of him. He looked to Dawn, giving her a look that just wanted her to get the hell up here. "There is this thing on my stomach. Get. Up. Here." The baby raven twitched slightly in it's sleep, making Vanitas shake around in the tree.

 

Silver put his hand out to stop Sonic from pushing Link off of the bed... Too late. Once Sonic left to get food and Link gave Silver a look, Silver rubbed the back of his head. "...maybe this wasn't my best idea."

 

Roxas heard Tails call for breakfast. He could use some meat. Roxas casted a look over to Ventus before throwing his pillow straight at his younger brother. "Hey, get up." He stretched, and stood up from the bed albeit a little wobbly. "Maybe we all can go later Del?"

"Yeah. Breakfast sounds great. well see how many of us want to go once we've eaten." He tossed a pillow at ven. "Breakfast little bro." he walked downstairs to the smell of bacon. "Eggs and Bacon? Awesome!" He sat down, and miles put a plate in front of him. it was different than what he was expecting, because he had never seen the meal prepared like this. but Del took his first bite, and was not disappointed. "Christ, this is delicious!" He shoveled more into his mouth. "where'd you learn to cook like this dude?" shortly after, the twins came down. In between bites, delsin said. "Me and roxas are gonna go hunting after breakfast. either of you guys wanna come with us?"

Morning came. Ventus was very comfortable in his bed. It was warm and nice. He heard Delsin come into their room, but he simply ignored him and went back to sleep. They tossed pillows at him. "Hmm...h-hey!" Luckily, pillows don't hurt. He got out of bed, and stretched. "Yeah, yeah. Breakfast." he said, yawning. He went downstairs and sat down to eat his breakfast. He was about to take a bite when he heard Delsin say he was going hunting with Roxas. 

"Nah. I think I'll pass. I'm not really into hunting." he said. 

 

"Don't worry about it." said Namine. "But yeah. They were really nice." she said, almost in a whisper. 

She then smiled. "I would love to go to Chivia with you! And meet your brother too!" 

(I would do the time skip but I'm in a hurry. I'll be back soon though.) 

Kirby's eyes lit up again. 

 

"That's great! I don't know when or how we'd get there, you know, to Chivia. It's kind of far away, but, I think we can worry about that some other time. It's getting pretty late." 

 

He let out a queit little yawn, rubbed his eyes. He sort of couldn't wait to drift off into Dreamland. 

 

"I do wonder how big brother is doing...", he muttered. Then, he looked ahead.

 

"Hey, is that your home? It's so dark I can't really tell.", he said, pointing forward and squinting his tired eyes.

Roxas trotted along downstairs with a yawn. After that goodnight's sleep he felt so much better. He sat down at the table and began to munch on his food. It was delicious. "Thanks Tails!" He called. Then Ventus announced he didn't want to go hunting. What a bore. He stuck his tongue out at Ventus. "You're so boring. I bet you're just gonna sit down and read your boring book all day."

~Miles Thompson~ "I'm glad you all liked it!" Tails chirped. "Today is the day we take the initiative, so I thought it was wise to start off with a balanced breakfast." After Del had said something about Hunting, and a few others had voiced their opinions, Tails had came up with an idea. "How about this? Those who don't want to go Hunting, can come with me to town for preparation of the Festival. Everyone else can enjoy the hunt." He stated, waiting for opinions.~Sonic/Baxter~ "You know, for an Inn, you're poorly stocked." Sonic stated, leaning against the Innkeepers bar. He stared at his hand, checking his fingernails for dirt as the Innkeeper gave him a dirty look. "Well, this is Farron. We're not exactly the biggest village in the region." She said, handing him three bowls of Oatmeal. Sonic put the money down on the bar and walked away with the food, and back into Silver's room. "Eat up!" He shouted. Link looked up to Sonic and grabbed a bowl from the platter. He consumed mercilessly. He hadn't eaten since he made Breakfast for Tails the day before.~Dawn Estheim~ "It's just a bird, Vanitas." Dawn laughed. The Mighty Dark Mage, frightened by a Baby bird. How entertaining. She climbed her way up to the top of the tree, and shewed the bird away. "Oh, by the way," Dawn reached into her bag and pulled out the mask that she had bought for him. "I got this for you. There's a festival coming up, and everyone is going to be wearing masks. Even if you don't participate, we're going to stick out like sore thumbs if we didn't have any."

Del munched on his toast. "Huh. guess that just leaves you and me, roxas. that is a good idea though, we ought to be ready for the festival." He finished up his breakfast. "Ill go clean my knife. come on up when your ready." He noticed roxas still had plenty of food left. perfect. del walked up to the room, and grabbed the small sum of money he set aside from the last hunt. He hopped out the window and took off down the street. He wanted to make it back before roxas was done. He made it to the market, and picked out a special knife for roxas. He would need one if he was to learn to hunt. it was a beautiful weapon, with a dark steel blade, and black hilt. the man selling it said it was made from buffalo horn. He wanted to do something special for all of the guys, so he bought a book on the history of magic and its outlaw for ven, and a curious little multi-tool gizmo for tails. Of course, he had much more special things planned for those two, but he needed time to get those gifts. for now, he wanted them to get something so they didnt feel left out, and he had to get back to the house ASAP. He ran back home, climbed in, hid the other gifts, and got his cloth out just as roxas walked in.

(Wait when IS the festival? LOL)

Roxas nodded. Sounds good. Tails and Ventus goes out to help prepare, while he and Delsin go out to hunt. Roxas continues to munch on his food, and suddenly tossed a small handmade orange pouch at Ven. (It's Olette's pouch btw) "There's 5,000 munny-" Roxas paused. What the hell was munny? "Er, there's 5,000 coin in there. It's what I saved up for helping dad make leather. Use it to get everyone masks. I want a cool one." He saw that Delsin went to go get ready. Luckily he got back by the time Roxas was done. Roxas got up, and cleaned his dish for the first time in his life without his mom yelling at him to. "I'm ready Delsin! And thanks for the food Tails."

 

Silver happily took the bowl with thanks and began to munch down on his food. Luckily he loved oatmeal. "Maybe someday I can show you my school Link." Silver said with a smile. "It's really nice. Magic is normal in Chivia... It's so different from here in Asnia. I know we just met Sonic, but you can come too if ya want." He idily looked through his spell book, coming across the page that he bookmarked earlier which talked about the curse Vanitas had put on Roxas. Silver almost choked on his food once he read some of he description. "W-What!"

 

Meanwhile the bird didn't go away. It instead just went to go sit on Vanitas' head instead. It chirped happily, thinking Vanitas as some sort of mother or caretaker. Vanitas swatted at the bird in his hair, trying to make it go the hell the way. "Go away, you ugly thing!" He growled. He saw Dawn take out a rather interesting looking mask. "Hm... Nice job... This might actually be fun- agh- get off!" Vanitas smacked the baby raven away, which in turn let out a small cry and sadly perched itself on Dawn's shoulder, looking sad. It's look just read 'Mommy doesn't like me! :'c'

As roxas called to him and entered the room, he polished his knife a bit. He couldnt help but smile. "great roxas. hey, before we go roxas, i got you something." he poked into his hiding place, and pulled out the knife and a sheath. "Here. if your gonna learn to hunt, youll need this." He handed him the knife and sheath. "strap that to your belt." As roxas did this, Del said "hope you like it bro. i wanted to do something special. if you can help it, keep it from the others. i got them smaller gifts for now, but i have something just as special planned for both of them. i just need a bit more time. if they notice, ill give them what i have, but id like to give em what i want to. but that knife is yours." he walked over to roxas, knelt, and put a hand on his shoulder. "May it serve you well, and protect that which you care about." He stood. "Alright bro. lets hunt."

(Maybe later tonight (Being this day in the game) or tomorrow? What do you think?)~Miles Thompson~ "Haha, no problem!" Tails wasn't expecting to get such a positive response from everyone! He was quite happy that they all enjoyed his food. Tails caught a glimpse of Roxas tossing Ventus some coin. Ah, the signal. "Alright everyone, you ready?"~Link/Needleson~ "What's wrong?" Link took his face out of his bowl in response to Silver's exclamation. He saw Silver looking into the book that he had been holding on to since the beginning. Sonic stared at Silver, awaiting a response.~Dawn Estheim~ "Aww, it's just a baby. Let's keep her!" Dawn smiled, as she petted the bird under it's beak. Dawn had never had a pet... maybe this was where she would start with one. She looked back at Vanitas in excitement. "Oh, I know! Let's name her!" After awhile, she thought to herself and said "Oh, how about Maleficent?"

(I feel like tomorrow in the rp is good. If anything, like it's taking too long we can just timeskip. If you guys want it to be today we can do that too. We can vote on it.)

 

Roxas looked at the knife in awe. He felt a intense feeling of happiness and the desire to protect those he loved. This was how he imagined it'd be like when his father would give him and Ventus their own swords. But unfortunately, Roxas had to take it from the secret stash under the floorboards. "Woah..." Uncertainty, he threw his arms around Delsin in a hug. It felt alittle stupid, to be honest since he wasn't well, five, but it was meaningful all the same. "Thanks.. And I will." Roxas called over to Tails in the other room. "I'll see you both later!"

 

Silver studied his book for a moment, trying to make sure he had everything right. "This curse... It's ancient dark magic." He muttered, tracing his finger over the page. "Created by a dark lord known as Kefka. He killed an entire village by cursing everyone in it. That village is sort of a legend in Chivia. It's completely abandoned and called 'Ancestor's Slaughter' and it's on the East side of Chivia. About a few weeks travel from here. This mage has to be really powerful to have casted an ancient curse such as this..."

 

The bird chirped happily in her hands. Vanitas crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. At least the bird was off of him. "Is that thing even a girl? Y'know what I don't really care what you name it. Maleficent it is." He shot daggers at the bird, who in turn cowered in fear.

It was morning, and Marluxia was at home sitting at the table. He didn't do much but ponder. He was restless, stressed, and upset. He had lit up the fire place and had breakfast. 

 

"It's almost the Afterlife Festival, isn't it?", he said to himself. "Hmm. That means I do not have class for a while."

 

He looked down at the table and picked up two masks. One designed as a bird, and the other designed as a king's fool. He put down the bird mask and observed the fool's mask. Marluxia stared at it, and sighed. He unconsciously caressed the rosey cheek of the mask.

 

"Where have you gone?...", he muttered.

 

He looked up from the mask and stared at the front door. He sighed again, and stood up from the table. He grabbed a basket, put on his black cloak withe the hood down, grabbed a small bag of money, and headed out the door.

 

"Perhaps...I might encounter him while I am in town.", he thought. He then headed out on his way.

And with that, del and roxas set off toward the woods. Delsin began the lesson on the walk there. "First rule. Be silent. I know that goes without saying, but you'd be surprised how much even i forget that, and lose a meal in the process. That brings me to the second rule. Stay observant. Be aware of everything. keep in mind the direction of the wind, things like that. even the volume of your breathing could tip off our prey." Del took a breather, then continued. "Okay. i wont be able to show you much more until we begin the hunt, but i need to know if your prepared to do this bud. Killing an animal isnt easy. taking a life, no matter what form, isnt fun, and you will do this today. think you can handle it?"

(Sorry, coulda sworn I posted. I think I might've forgot to hit "Post" and exited or something... idk.)~Link Baxter~ "So, what's your thought? You plan to stop by there, maybe see something?" Link asked him.~Sonic Needleson~ "You know, I've only appeared in a Link/Needleson text section. I figured it was about time I got my own section, so here I am!" Well, that's what Sonic would have said if he had control over it. Heh, silly characters and their false illusion of free will. What he actually said was: "We're not going now, are we?"~Miles Thompson~ "So, when do you want to head out?" Miles said to Ventus, who hadn't really said much all morning.~Dawn Estheim~ "So, what are we doing today, Vanitas?" Dawn asked, tossing Maleficent up and down in her hands.

Roxas gave a solid nod with his fists clenched, determination written all over his face. He was prepared for whatever lies ahead, at least he thought he was. How bad could it be? He never killed animals before, but he killed a few bugs and he loved meat. "I'm ready, Delsin." He said in a low mutter. He tried to lower his breath too, but it was pretty hard to breathe. He wanted to commit the first rule to memory.

 

Silver shook his head. "Nope. I don't see a reason to go there. I don't want to go there anyway. But if this mage guy can handle ancient magic... That means he's pretty tough." he bookmarked the page one more and closed the book. Within a few minutes he was able to finish his oatmeal. "Today I guess we can just hit the library, and try to find out where the guards took the Twin's father. They might've moved him so if we eavesdrop we might be able to pick up something... I really want to focus on the Dark Mage though." Silver felt a little guilty. He felt that the dark Mage was more important, but the twins father could be hanged soon. He was unsure of what to do. He only knew the twins for literally a few minutes. "...oh, and I guess get some masks too."

 

Vanitas stood up in the branch and jumped off of the tree. "Hmm... I want to spy on that albino kid, but he doesn't really concern me right now. Actually... One of the reasons why I came here was to look up something interesting." He opened his own spell book with a grin. "Legend tells of a substance of darkness... A sort of fourth form of matter. It's darkness in its purest of essence. Everything is made up of it, but there's this version of it that acts like a virus to humans. That's most of what I read of it anyway." Vanitas shrugged. Today was a sort of a lazy day, he guessed.

~Link/Needleson~ "Alright! The Library it is! Maybe while we're there, we can read up see if there are any books that could help us out with the mage?" Link hadn't been in a library in tears. Maybe now was the perfect time to start it back up. Meanwhile, Sonic groaned. "I HATE reading. You guys go ahead and hit the books, I can manage the masks!" He didn't really give them a chance to say "Yes" or "No." He kind of just... zoomed off. Link shook his head, and looked back at Silver. "How long do we have to put up with Blue Canoe over there?" "Ah, Mainstreet. Let see if Rosies got anything good." Rosies was one of Sonics favorite places. He's only been in Farron for a short time, but it sure was great visiting Ol' Rosie once in a while. He took his time walking, as to prevent too much attention. Rosie wasn't working that day, which really disappoint him. Instead, there was a young man with a nice green cap sitting at the counter. "Welcome to-a Rosies." He said, not very enthusiastically. He seemed to be too busy humming a tune.

Sonic moved past the guy, and towards where he saw a few Masks sitting. He was having a hard time deciding which mask fit which of the three.~Dawn Estheim~ "So, I guess that means you want to learn more about this darkness? Well, why not ask the townsfolk about it? Just avoid the few people you've actually encountered before, Namely that Albino kid and his Blonde friend." Dawn shuffled her scarf.

Silver wiped his hand in his face. This was going to be a long day... A /very/ long day. "Ugh, I have no idea, but I'm gonna assume it's going to be a while. He better not get in my way." He crossed his arms impatiently. "Either way, he's going to be really helpful with his speed, so don't do or say anything to piss him off. Anyway, we gotta go to the Library." With that, Silver threw on his winter robes and satchel.

The library in town was rather fancy. It had two floors with tall ceilings and a wide variety of books to read. Silver had led Link to the back isles and was currently looking through the books that they held. (Just imagine this Library looking like Hollow Bastion's Library.) Then Silver realized something; he was in Asnia. "Aargh! I didn't think it was illegal to carry books about magic! The only thing here is little kid stories." He muttered sharply to himself and his ally. "Any ideas now?"

 

Nearby where Sonic was, outside a tiny commotion was heard, just little children fooling around.

"Hey, brat! Gotcha hat!" One said.

"G-Give it back..." Came a soft voice that of a young girl.

"Haha, in your dreams!" Another one came.

 

"I've tried asking some merchants in the black market, even some of the thugs and illegal mages here. They all know nothing. Well, a few of the mages told me that it's just a legend no one really knows about." He rolled his eyes. "This is getting nowhere." The bird chipped happily in Dawn's hands, enjoying being tossed about. Vanitas looked to the brid. "What makes you females so attracted to these things? They're so ugly!"

~Link Baxter~ "Ah, don't count on that." Link said, brushing his way towards a set of books labeled "A" "G" "M" "I" and "C." Link cracked his knuckles, tilted his head, and pulled the five books out. He put the books back, only in a different order. "M-A-G-I-C." The bookcase opened up, revealed a table with a single chair. Atop the table was a stack of books-the only books in the entirety of Asnia to contain information on Magic. "What? You didn't think I went traveling all those years and didn't bring back a few rewards?"~Sonic Needlson~ Sonic left behind the three masks he was looking at to see what the commotion was all about. Outside, he saw two boys picking on a younger girl, tossing her hat to and fro. He jumped into the scene. "Hey, give her back her hat!" He yelled.~Dawn Estheim~ "That's a little sexist." Dawn snapped towards Vanitas, stopping her bouncing. "So we look for it ourselves, then?" She asked.

Silver kinda stood there, dumbstruck and amazed. "Huh." He went inside, looking at the stack of books. "That's super cool. I'm impressed, Link." He said with glee. With that, Silver sat at the chair and flipped open a random book. "Hopefully they won't catch us."

 

Outside the two boys, around thirteen stopped what they were doing and looked straight at Sonic. "Whuh-oh! Tate lets scram!" The first kid yelled, turning around to beeline straight into the market. He threw the girls hat down to the ground. The second boy ran right behind him.

"Demyx wait for me!"

 

The girl got up, brushing some dirt off of her dress. She was about eight, and wore a plain white child's dress. She picked up the hat, which was a men's wool hat. She put the hat back on with a small frown. Now her dress and hat was dirty. "Thanks for helping me." The girl said to Sonic. "I'm C-Clementine." She was rather nervous, obviously shy.

 

Vanitas rolled his eyes once more. "Oh, relax. I didn't say anything bad." He looked around the area, and decided maybe it would be best to look in the black market. "Maybe we can find a book that mentions it, at least..."

~Link Baxter~ "I know, right?" Link sat on the singular chair, and pushed one stack of books to the other side. "Magical Texts -  A through P. Enjoy. I'll be going through Q through Z." Link brushed off the first book, and began reading.~Sonic Needleson~ "Clementine, huh? I'm Sonic. Sonic Nose Needleson!" He said, throwing a finger into the air. Sonic remembered what Link had said before, and put it back down. "But uh...Clementine is quite a mouthful. Mind if I call you Clem?"~Dawn Estheim~ "Oh god, I hate the black Market. Last time I went to one, someone stole my hairpin." Dawn said, brushing her hair with her hand. She drew it back and looked at it with an empty expression. "Let's be sure to leave our Valuables somewhere safe."

Silver scanned through the book, trying to find something that could be useful against dark magic. He didn't really find much. However, he did find a pretty interesting section. He showed the page to Link. "Hey... This speaks about the relics I was searching for here. There's these underground ruins and it's said to hold pretty powerful artifacts... Maybe this Dark Mage was in search for those as I was."

 

Clementine smiled and gave a nod. "Sure. A lot of people call me Clem. My mom and dad call me that too." She suddenly remembered the fact that she was supposed to meet up with her parents in the marker. "Uh... Have you seen my mom and dad? My dad is reallllllly tall!" She stretched up her arm high and tried to tip toe to show him how high her father was. "His name is Lee. My mom is a little shorter than him. She wears a colorful apron. Her name is Lenora."
