September 16, 201411 yr Well, he never met Terra in BBS, and he did change his appereance ( darker skin, pointed ears, silver long hair etc)when he ended merging with Master Xehanort. And for the second question, when did Mickey use the name Xehanort referring to the old Master for the first time? Maybe he didnt know the exact name of the Master in KH2, or there are a few people named Xehanort across the KHverse (pun intended). Or plotholes....
September 16, 201411 yr I'd say mainly because Nomura is making it up as he goes along. Like this great one from KH2 where Donald didn't recognise Mysterious Tower despite him and Goofy being there in Birth by Sleep.

September 16, 201411 yr Well, in 3D Mickey pretty much said he was in denial. "I wanted to believe their sacrifice stopped you for good." And as others have said, Mickey had never actually seen what Terra looked like and Terranort looks very different from old man Master Xehanort, especially with the brown eyes. September 16, 201411 yr Because writing backwards (in this case BBS) is always gonna cause stuff like this as this wasn't full thought out before hand (There was a concept of an idea for the prequel since KH2 since we saw the characters in the secret ending). However because it wasn't fully realized yet it causes stuff as character reactions not making much sense yet as BBS plot wasn't full realized yet despite being a prequel.
