I hate it when male characters are covered head to toe in armor while they female equivalent exposes a ton of skin

I think heavy armor is legit, when I went to play the FFXIV demo I did some research and decided I wanted to be a specific melee class ahead of time, a Pugilist

 

So I finish making my character and just as I go to pick pugilist, I pass this one class that has my character all decked out in armor

 

Despite my better judgement I sold out for the armored sword class because it looked epic, but then when the game started I just had these default plain clothes on

 

I was tricked

A lot of it probably went over my head but it seems REALLY INTERESTING

I knew that guy in the red was Rin's dad! He looks very similar to her

 

Kiritsugu(?) and Kariya(?) are the mages I like the best so far

 

Kariya's dad sucks big time

 

I'm wondering why OH

 

I was about to say it was weird how Rin's dad summoned a familiar but Kirie(?) didn't, then I remembered he already had that assassin guy

 

Saber was boss in her entrance

 

I'm gonna speculate now Kariya is gonna lose his sense of self over time and be taken over and killed by those worms, so Kiritsugu will be the only mage left that I'll like (hopefully)

 

I'm also speculating Kiritsugu vs Kirie will be the big final fight since those two seem to see each other as terrifying adversaries, so Saber vs that assassin guy which I think I saw in the opening

 

Of course we only know six: Kiritsugu, Kariya, Kirie, Rin's dad, that teacher, and that student, so the seventh mage could be a wild card despite Rin's dad saying the placeholder mages are typically weak, or he could be spot on

 

Okay those are all my thoughts, I think I'm gonna play something before watching the second episode

 

Aside from what Kariya's stupid dad is doing to Sakura (but that's Kariya's whole motivation so it's important to have I guess) I really like this anime so far!
