There's a little black kitten living by my porch: every time you open the door, it takes off, running over the bricks of the porch wall into the bushes, and off god knows where, probably into the massive garden in my neighbors front lawn. I tried to catch it today, because it's really little, maybe six weeks, but it's too skittish, and possibly feral. The garden is way too big to look through, and it's not my property, so I can't go after it, but it keeps coming back to the porch steps to eat. I hope it's going to be okay

That's adorable as all hell. Don't be fast or brute-ish to it, just try to get it to you. Be very quiet and slow, maybe kneel down, call out to it gently. It could work. o-o It just needs to warm up to you is all.

I've tried, but then I sneezed, and scared the shit out of it...

Good. Also, if you have any food that would appeal to a kitty like a bit of a banana, fish, or any meats you could try taking a small bit out and holding it out to it in your hand though still keeping your distance. o: Might get the little fella to come up to ya'.
