Dragon Quest I-III remakes wrapped up, which is the best version of V?

Posted

Square Enix has released their remake of Dragon Quest III on iOS and Android today in Japan. With IV already out, V is most likely next. Question is, which version? PS2 or DS?

Dragon Quest is an RPG series by Enix. It was basically the grandfather of console RPGs, even Final Fantasy was inspired by it. Unlike FF, it keeps the same general gameplay formula throughout each game, so they stick with what works. They're really fun games; if you like old school JRPGs, I highly recommend them. I've only played DQIX and DQVI, but I still love the series. DQIX is probably the way to go if you plan on getting into the series.
