can anyone explain me something? like when u give up a power (i always choose staff as the power i want and the sword the one i want to give up) u will have the benefits of, like me, the staff and the sword or would it be, the staff and the shield? i never understand that right.

why does everyone hate the staff? it gets you the best abilities sooner

I give up the staff.  I tend to attack more, use magic less, and get what I + need when I need to.

The sword! Say, Would it be funny if you choose the path of magic and give up the path of magic? >W<

Why is everyone giving up the magic?! xDAnyway I would give up the shield.

Magic isn't all that useful for some of us. In my personal case, as long as I can hit hard and take hits, I'm fine with weaker magic.

Sword. Kindness and inner strength can do things courage cannot.

 

Also, choose shield + give up sword = most well-rounded stats in KH1.

Staff. I can live with less power; plus that's what leveling up is for!

Staff - Because I can't give up the sword or I'll never beat the game.

So I found out you should pick shield it's the one that gives you leaf bracer the fastest so just not sure is I should always give up sword or staff

Goodbye Sword, I'll get a keyblade (thanks Riku, thanks Ventus!) in your place later. I have no good replacement for a staff (Donald) and shield (Goofy) though.
