I like this idea, because it convinces people to take up the pen (or keyboard) and write a novel all on their own. I'm currently signed-up for this challenge, and I'm posting this to let the other writers here on KH13 know about this challenge.
You may wonder, why should I do this? Well, beyond the good feelings of having finished a novel, NaNo has several sponsors (Such as CreateSpace) offering free publishing, free books, and discounts with major companies.
(Not sure if this belongs in Creative Media, but I posted it here due to it's relation to Creative Writing.)
NaNoWriMo is known as National November Writing Month, and is a sixteen-year-old challenge to write a 50,000-word novel within the month of November.
