Something wrong with smartphones, tablets and TV devices? Square Enix just made over a billion yen in one month on Record Keeper.

If there's enough demand they might port it to Vita.

If people like them, I respect that, but I really don't. In fact I personally find it a chore to use them. That's only my opinion though and I respect your and everybody else's. I REALLY hope they do though I prefer consoles. But that'll never happen. *sigh*

Why? What's different? You can easily play iOS & Android games on your TV with a controller if you want.

They're still releasing their biggest titles on consoles though. They don't have any preference, it's just what makes sense to develop for.

Because they're graphics are usually lesser than that of consoles, I don't like the interface and I'm not sure if they are monthly fees, but if there are that's another reason. I also have an overwhelming fear that they're killing consoles and I don't wanna support that if they are.

You're comparing graphics? iOS & Android games can easily look better than 3DS and PSP games.

The interface? Every game has a different interface.

It clearly tells you if it has in-app purchases multiple times. And ones like Square Enix's HD remasters of Final Fantasy III, IV, V and VI along with their 3D remake of The After Years do not. The iOS & Android versions of III and IV are even superior to the DS versions in every way.

Killing consoles? Lol. Console gaming is not going anywhere. The PS4 is proof of that.

I meant the interface of the devices themselves. And I know they'd look better than PSP or 3DS, but an iOS or Andriod game isn't going to look as good as a PS4 game (assuming it's a AAA title that really harnesses the consoles power). And of course course they're going to look better than console games that are like over 15 years old, but not modern ones. Also I forgot to mention that I don't like downloading games, but purchasing them physically.

Use a controller? Play it on your TV? Of course not, a PS4 is a dedicated gaming hardware. We aren't talking about games that are over 15 years old. The FFIV remake on DS came out in 2007. The HD remaster in 2012.

Not sure what kind of controllers you can use. And playing on the TV isn't much of a plus to me when the graphics aren't as good and it only has a few titles that could interest me.

You'd google it. Haha.

Well it would still look a lot better than a Wii or PS2 game. They're HD. Well the beauty is these devices do more than play games and you can get for crazy cheap prices.

I'm glad you enjoy them. :)

It says you can use a DUALSHOCK 3 which is good, but sadly not enough to turn my head towards the device. I know they do a lot, but I'm a dedicated gamer who wants AAA titles and good graphics. Of course, not all games need the best graphics in town to be good (like KH 1.5 and 2.5 for example) but KH is an exception in my opinion since it's been my favorite every since I first played it.

They do have good graphics. You've got no issue playing 3DS games. Seriously, FFIV looks great.

And anyway, the type of graphics a game has shouldn't be the determining factor if you play a game.

They've got good graphcs yes (forgive me for saying that wrong). What I meant was, I'm a dedicated gamer who wants the best graphics (aside from a few exceptions). I love retro games though. And yes I've got no issue, but it's certainly not my preferred device. I only bought a 3DS for KH and FF and played a few other titles that looked really good. I prefer the most powerful console though.

You're going to miss out on some of the best games then. Not everything can look as great as The Last of Us. That takes A LOT of work and money.

Well at least what some people would deem as "the best". I know it can't, but it certainly helps. Good graphics is why I've always been a PlayStation fan. They usually have the most powerful console of the current gen with the most crisp graphics and color. I know takes a lot of work and money, but I think huge developers like Naughty Dog and Sony can afford it.

Well they can afford it. But you're still missing out on great games. I mean you're never going to play FFI-VI's remakes as a result.

I've played at least one version of them all. I have some friends who let me pla the exclusive FF's on their devices, but I never finished them. I can play 1-5 on my PSP or DS and 6 on my PS3 by downloading the PS1 classic (Which I've already done both of those). Plus, Games like FFVII-FFXIII are some of the greatest in my opinion. Aside from FFXII which I didn't personally enjoy too much.

But you just said you don't play games with graphics like that...

I never said I didn't play them hence why I said "not every game needs the best graphics in town to be good". Though it's true I do strongly prefer frontline graphics, it's not like I'll refuse to play a game without them. Kingdom Hearts doesn't have the best graphics ever, but in my opinion it's amazing gameplay and story make up for that by a mile. And back in 2002 it was the best graphics.

Then why don't you play the HD remasters and 3D remakes? They look a lot better than the versions you're playing and have more content.

Because while they might look a little better on an iOS or Android, it's not enough to get me to buy one. I can play those same games with a little less graphical power on systems I already own. I just wish that good FF games weren't exclusive to those devices, but I'm glad you enjoy them. I do play plenty of HD remasters on PS3

A little? The After Years is a full 3D remake.

The only Final Fantasy games exclusive to iOS & Android are Dimensions and the 3D remake of The After Years. But they might be ported to PC & Vita next year.

It's better, but not by leaps and bounds. I don't like PC gaming much either except for KHx and Age of Empires.
