The official Star Wars Twitter account has confirmed that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is not canon. As a result, Jedi Master Shaak Ti, one of the three (four if you count Anakin) remaining members of the Jedi Council post-Order 66, is still alive. Hopefully they deal with this soon.

Yep. They cancelled the award-winning The Clone Wars, 1313 and this game you're speaking of.

It's extremely frustrating. I normally have no beef with Disney...but when you cancel things that were gonna hold a massive income, especially when developers spent so many years working hard to make an enjoyable experience, you're just asking for trouble.

Yep. And the funny thing is, what they replaced The Clone Wars with is getting a lot less viewers.

I was never super into the EU other than playing some of the Star Wars themed games.  I can understand Disney's claim that they wanted to give the creators creative freedom though, which wouldn't be possible if they had to work within the confines of established EU.  

 

95% of the EU was never officially canon anyway, so it WAS basically just fanfiction.  It's not like the books are being torn from shelves, people can still read an enjoy the content.
