The ninja battles continue! 

 

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 has been officially announced, and it looks like it's going to cover the last section of the Naruto story, as referenced by the images of Naruto and Sasuke in their Six Paths modes. Not only that, but Naruto's look from "The Last" is on the scan too, saying that he'll be in the game, which is pretty much confirmation that "The Last" will probably be a crucial part of the story mode as well. There is also confirmation that a demo will be playable by the time that Jump Festa 2015 comes around. This is all the information present.

 

So yeah: Ninja Storm on current-generation consoles... I'dbelyingifIsaidIwasn'tthetiniestbithyped.

This year's Japan Expo showed off a new trailer for Storm 4:

 

 

The trailer showed off many new things, including new gameplay of Six Paths Madara and the final villain of the series Kaguya. The trailer also included some excerpts of gameplay featuring Might Gai using the Gate of Death, Rin with Young Kakashi and Obito in what appears to a segment of their Team Ultimate Jutsu, and Hanabi using a Team Ultimate Jutsu with Hinata, Neji, and Hiashi.

 

There is also an official announcement at the end spotlighting pre-order content and collector's edition details. For those who pre-order the game, they will receive early access to "The Last" versions of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Hinata (meaning they will be unlocked from the start of the game instead of having to be unlocked by whatever means possible in-game). The other pre-order bonuses are Boruto, Sarada, and the 6th Hokage skin for Kakashi, which will only be available for those who pre-order the game.

Well, I was excited... until Boruto and Sarada were confirmed to be pre-order exclusives. -_- Guess I'll have to pre-order a game for a system I might not even own until a year after the game's released if I want to play as those two.

I didn't care much about the SSJ4 Vegeta thing since I'm not all that interested in GT stuff, although considering this makes two anime fighting games by the same company (Or at least both were published by Namco) with this type of pre-order bonus, this is definitely a really bad sign...

Plus, I bet a lot more consumers would be willing to go the early access route instead of standard pre-orders, so it just mean more money and units sold, but oh well.
