Dunno which one to pick as a favourite. I always enjoy having Riku or a Disney character by my side, but I can't decied wether pick Goofy or Donald.

 

Donald's attacks are based on magic skills. He can heal you in dangerous times, but sometimes he dies too fast or can barely do any damage to the enemies.

 

Goofy is attack and defense attacks. He may do some damage, but is a bit slower. He can't heal ya in dangerous times.

Hmm, KH2 huh? Well the very first time I played KH I always went with Donald because I sucked so much at the game and needed him to heal me. So naturally when I got KH2 I went with the same choice. And yeah, I still do it to this day even though I don't need him at all.

I'd say it depends on the world you're going to and the enemies you'll face there. If the enemies are weak to magic, like the cursed pirates in Port Royal or the Large Bodies in Beasts Castle  go with Donald, however if they are magic resistant, like the Fortune Tellers in Agrabah, go with Goofy.

2.5 kinda freezes when changing party remembers, but still... that is a very good option.

It depends on who you're fighting. Donald's limit breaks are incredible at crowd control: Fantasia is a brilliant manouver to use in the Underdrome matches, for instance, when taking out a swarm of enemies in a short period of time is necessary. Goofy's limits make him ideal in one-on-one matches: try using him against Demyx or Xaldin, and it makes the fight ten times easier.

As much as I want to say Donald. Goofy is always alive and always helps aganist the bosses. But then Donald has comet and the attack has saved me millions of time. He also heals me for the few seconds he's alive. The old reason I carry around mega-elixir during every boss fight. But when I have live 3 drive gauge and I can't go limit form when in dying I need someone alive and that's goofy for valor form. So Goofy. Give him elixir, and use his limits I am good. Why did that sound like I was having relationship issues.

In KH1, Goofy was the best. Trading one of his MP for 3 MP is boss. In KH2, Donald is better cos healing.

I will say the reverse of the person above me. In kh1 I found Donald the most useful, as he had a LOT of pm to heal you (when he didn't waste it, of course) and because Goofy never managed to really do real damage to enemies

And in Kh2, Goofy is actually very useful stunning enemies and stopping them from attacking so that you can hit them, while Donald can only heal 1 character per mp bar, and he dies in practically one hit, as he doesnt even have Second Chance (Goofy can survive even full combos from Terra due to Second Chance and Once More)

I prefer Donald over Goofy because Donald can heal you and goofy can't.

A. Valor Form is way better than Wisdom Form, and B. Donald doesn't get second chance or once more and is therefore worse than useless, he is a liability.

I'll just say. "Somebody come quick!". Goofy has the ability to resist a lot to combos and powerful hit, thanks to second chance. Give him a full set of megapotions and you'll see who's better.
