So, there is this one thing I don't get.

 

 

So after CoM, Jiminy's Journal's contents were erased. At first I thought it was because they were strongly tied to Sora's Heart so when Namine erased his memories they were also gone. 

Now in the first half of Re:coded we learn that that happened because of Sora's Heartless, then at the second half Namine says the same thing that we thought happened in CoM.

 

Sooo, which one is it?

 

The diary containing the events of Kh1 was erased in Com because of Namine

 

The diary of Kh2 suddenly had words appearing out of nowhere, and when they tried to investigate it, Bugs appeared in it, which where caused by Sora's heartless

That's....actually a legit question that i think nobody ever thought. If they digitalize the diary with the words, which was the second one (kh2 events), why did Data-Sora went trough similar events of kh1, and why is Sora's heartless in said diary...?

"At the end of Sora's journey through Castle Oblivion, the witch Naminé puts him to sleep so that she can reconstruct his memory, which she had tampered with under coercion from Organization XIII. All of the contents of Jiminy's Journal are removed, a side-effect of the record of Sora's Heartless beginning to assert itself."

 

Honestly when I was watching the movie earlier and I heard about the Heartless it just opened a whole can of worms for me. I'm so confused. I figured it might have been a retcon but then Namine goes and says she did it.

I also went to check in the khwiki and it says this:

Well I wouldn't really mind it if was reconned, but the problem is that it contradicts itself right after that.

Okay, thanks. Still doesn't make much sense, unless the Heartless was born from the journals heart.

Ah I think what it's saying is when Namine was messing with his memories she erased the journal too.  Then she put their memories back, but for some reason (Sora's Heartless and the bugs) the journal stayed blank.

That... actually makes sense.

From what I understand. the words where erased when Namine changed Sora's memories. When she restored them, the words should have been restored too, but that part was prevented by the data on Sora's Heartless and then the Bugs appeared when Namine tried to put Ven's memories into the Journal.
