Hey everyone,

I have finally made my way through lingering will, all themushroom challenges, and 12 of the 13 data battles. Unfotunately no matter how many times I try I cannot beat Luxord's DM game. Does anone have any advice that can help me finally defeat him once and for all? It's just that one game at the end giving me trouble.

I hope to hear from you guys!

Pause buffering is your best friend for the DM mini-game.

Three of the O's should be easy enough to get without pause buffering, but you can still do it.

The fourth however... when you pause, you want to see the X while paused. That way, when you unpause and mash the X button, by the time the game you physically press the button and the game reads your input, it should be a O, getting you the fourth one to pass the mini-game.

I have never seen any strategies for this... People usually try until they get it. Just one thing: When you see the X on the last one, that is, if you manage to see anything at all, click at that exact time because it is so fast that the miliseconds you take from seeing the X and pressing the button, it will probably be the O.

Sorry bro, but if I were you, I would keep trying. Funny enough, in his Original fight, not the data one, I managed to defeat him without having to play that last little game. Wish we could have that with the data version as well =/

Good luck!

Don't do what I did which is think that you have to align them all at the same time; you have to get each one individually =P.

Aside from that, the pause buffering technique is your best bet. Pause for every selection, and if it's on X, then start mashing, but if it's on O, unpause and try again.

Also, if you lose the game once and get turned into a die, don't move at all; Luxord will jump over you back and forth until the form gauge runs out, at which point you have to try again. I don't think you'll have enough time to afford it more than twice, but just to avoid having to go through the hoopla again, there's at least a second chance.
