What do you guys think of this philosophy?

Posted

I accept the part of me that's always in conflict.

I embrace my temptations, without allowing them to control my actions.

A person who is pure at heart and always innocent has never experienced the world as it is.

A person who has never had a scar has never had pain in her life.

What do u guys think?

I've heard of a thing called a DnD allignment chart, and i was wondering where I would be placed within it.

I think this applies to almost everyone (at least to me). Eveyone has or will experience hardship. Dealing with it is hard, especially in the long term. Basically, just follow Aristotle's golden mean (speaking of philosophy :)).

DnD-wise, it's something neutral. I haven't played in ages.

This also very Riku-esque by the way, accepting the darkness and walking the road to dawn.

Just more proof that Riku is the most realistic of the island trio. Has his inner demons and struggles just like all people do, yet he pushes on because he knows that he has a greater purpose than to be defeated. The only humans on this earth who are even close to "completely pure" are tiny children and those who are mentally on par with such. But even then, pure innocence is basically impossible.

If you're wondering where you would be placed on a DnD chart, know that all those sentences are not helping in the slightest bit. I should know: I play DnD and am classified as Lawful Good.

If you embraced your temptations without letting them control your actions, wouldn't you have resisted them and expelled them? Otherwise, I like the philosophy.

It's a pretty cool philosophy, and it has meaning behind it.  I think it's safe to say that most of us have gone through our fair share of hardships and tribulations, but they've all allowed us to become stronger as people.  These kinds of experiences help us grow and gain knowledge, and well, in the end, we become all the stronger for it.  Those who haven't gone through such hardships and think that life is all roses and rainbows have got a lot to learn in life.  Life isn't as easy as someone could picture it to you, but all the little bumps and pits in the road of life really help mold us into the people we become. :)
