February 20, 201510 yr I voted Aqua because all I remember of Terra's story was "lol darkness can't have me!" followed by instantly being manipulated and mind-controlled and I forgot Ven's story got super dark near the end. I guess if I could revote, I'd go with Ven's.
February 20, 201510 yr I think they all had equally great story lines, but I think that the presentation of Aqua's is what makes hers stand out. If you played the game in traditional order (Terra, Ven, Aqua) Then you went through the first two stories not really caring or even liking Aqua. Her motivations were pretty unclear and she is not really seen in either of those two stories. She comes off as being a goody-two shoes who is kissing up to her master. Then came time to play her story... Just playing through it and realizing that she was protecting her friends behind the scenes and fixing their mistakes really hits you. Yes she was there on her master's orders, but she did everything with love and sincerity. You see her go through her whole journey protecting what matters most to her, only to see it all taken away from her. Even then she continues to try and set things right. Aqua's amazing story comes from the fact that we as the player are led to believe that she is just a trophy female character, but turns out to be the most heroic, determined, and real character the series has ever had.
February 20, 201510 yr I liked Aqua's the most because I played her last. So I got the whole "everything is fitting together!" feeling. You know, like that feeling when you get the last clue in a mystery and you're like, "oh yeah, I know what's up now." Weird feeling to explain, but I hope it's understood! 笑笑笑
