I'm currently doing a speedrun of KHII because BBS is coming out soon. Feel free to join.

Here's the idea:

Play through on proud mode, Kingdom Key only, no equipment.

here's the challenging bit, you have to ignore all enemies unless the battle is scripted. Because of this you will constantly be at a low level. Even Twilight Thorn becomes a threat (And don't get me started on the lance/centaur Heartless)

It's not TOO harsh, you can equip abilities and use forms (Though leveling them up will be tough, and you probably won't unlock Final Form, and you won't have much AP because you'll be low level)

You can't use any boosting items, including AP Boosts.

 

 

Note: Donald and Goofy may end up killing heartless on their own, this is okay, but you can't purposely stand next to enemies and level up, besides that won't be good for your time!

Tips~

Skip cutscenes, they still count for time!

When you're forced to have a party member, you'll have a hard time deciding on Donald or Goofy, Goofy allows you to use Valor Form, but Donald can heal you, which is precious early in the game, before you get Cure yourself

Be careful with items, you don't realize ow useful they are until you can only survive 3 hits!

An FYI to the people going for this.

100 Acre wood, Pride Lands, Tron v.2, and Atlantica are all optional... so if you want to have a chance at a best time? Skip em' all.

i didnt do atlantica, 100 acre wood or space paronoids v.2 I went there but decided not to finish it for obvious reasons. Im at TWTNW xiggie battle at 20:45. Oh and roxas-sora its sorta hard to believe that you are at that world at that time considering the requirements.

Yes. Cure, Potions, Spells. You'll need them.

Damn.... u guys r good..... I tried it a couple of days ago and it took me 13:38 2 beat Xemnas, and that was after skipping Atlantica, Tron v.2 and 100 Acre Wood... But was Pride Lands really optional, coz if it was, then that would have added some time to my game...

I'll be sure to sure to give this a try this week and see how I go, it should be fun. I'll post my results up straight after I finish, hopefully my camera will be able to catch a good shot of my battle report that I can post here.

Aw, don't be like that. You're not a loser, It's a hard thing to do, hell even i'm struggling and i've played through KH2 at least 10 times before. (counting Final Mix)

You have to see the end credits. After the credits you get a stats screen, you should post this when you finish.

After the Xemnas fight, the idea of a speed run is to play through the whole game, that includes the final boss. I guess you could just make a rough estimate of how long it took to beat Xemnas and add that onto your playtime before that battle.
