Ever wonder what Mickey Castle purpose was in Kingdom Hearts 1 beta?

At 1:05, you see that Sora was walking in Mickey Castle. Which it isn't in the final version at all. Surely there's a reason for Sora to be in there.

Mouse Motels ain't cheap. He's gotta live somewhere.

Kairi's beta face at 0:40 is terrifying.

It looks like the game went a long way before release, although it would've been cool to visit Disney Castle.

Might've been a scrapped idea or something.

Maybe it acts as a hub world

Well, remember, this was early beta footage, so Nomura was probably just testing out how things would work, but I think he may have wanted to put Disney Castle into Kingdom Hearts I, but for whatever reason, he didn't do it.  That's always been a mystery to me! :O
