How the **** did something like this get into Steam Greenlight?

Posted

"Oh my...Steam is such a high calibur gaming service that has high standards of quality unlike PSN,e-shop and Xbox Live"-Said by a PC elitist,2015

Look I know a lot of shit manages to sneak into Steam Greenlight but I draw the line when something with a title like this gets a free pass?

HOW!

HOW!HOW!HOW!HOW!

No wonder Jim Sterling is getting sick of this.....this is disgusting beyond belief

......................this kind of shit just turns my stomach! >.< Now THIS is what I would call a true hate crime. T.T

Green light is a popularity contest at its finest, so when someone, say, shares the game in outrage, odds are it'll benefit them

that's how they get on

That's assuming people will vote on a game simply because they know about it. I feel like most reasonable people, even if they're not offended, won't be interested in such uninteresting gameplay. It's also assuming that Valve would allow a game with blatant hate speech content on Steam, which I sincerely doubt.

Also not a fan of the idea that if you find something objectionable, you should just not talk about it to anyone and hope it goes away.

you should understand how going "This is so horrible, don't support it" is going to automatically make people support it was a joke. It's human nature, doubly so on the internet.

People getting offended about something, especially in an overly dramatic way, just encourages people to quote unquote troll the person who's offended

There are ways you can bring attention to things and hurt them, but usually that's only with big names that stand to gain a lot already. In cases like these being quiet is often a better solution because nobody would find out it exists in the first place

Better to spend your type making people aware of a game as unpopular as this, but a hidden gem. Instead we only get obscure awful games and really popular indie games
