Many musical themes in the KH series are recurring in some form or another.

 

Many Birth By Sleep melodies made a return in KH3D, so I think a few will also carry over from KH3D to KH3

It isn't Birth by Sleep, it's Dream Drop Distance. They play it when there are scenes emphasizing the distance between two people.

No I mean it reminds me of BBS's soundtrack. I haven't properly listened to DDD's soundtrack which is why I'm making that connection.

They might plays some old tracks from other games, on 3. Perhaps this one. I'm just making a guess.

Oh. Well they have been incorporating more and more violins and strings into their soundtracks since 358/2 Days, so it makes sense if they sound similar I suppose. :P
