I love Nobuo Uematsu's work, Back when I first started composing music - he was my biggest inspiration along with Koji Kondo and Kaoru Wada. I learned of Shimomura later.

His music is more melodic more than generic symphonic. I really love how he fuses tradition video game music techniques with contemporary styles, this gives birth to a unique musical genre with Uematsu's personal music signature. I must say that most of my favourite FF soundtracks were all by Mr Uematsu.

I hope he'll continue to compose for other Final Fantasy games.

Do you like Masashi Hamauzu?

I like some of his musical pieces - I believe he did music for FFX and FFXIII (from memory).

He has a unique musical style too, but I am a bigger Uematsu fan.

Thats not to say that I don't like Mr Hamauzu's music - I do, he made many wondrous and memorable melodies for FFXIII and FFX.

Its like asking do you prefer oranges or apples? Well they're both sweet but unique fruits on their own

Spot on. He worked on FFX with Uematsu and Junya Nakano

He did XIII all by himself impressively, and was the main composer for XIII-2, Lightning Returns & Dirge of Cerberus among others.

It wasn't as powerful as Answers, but it was still a great piece.
