Is this like Final Fantasy which doens't have any story connections between each game but just a few references?

 

Then again, this is called Heroes so...Is it a Spin off or a continuation of the last game or a Reboot?

    It's like what Hyrule Warriors is to The Legend of Zelda.

     

    Basically a Dynasty Warriors-style Dragon Quest game..... So yeah it's a spin-off with popular characters from the series. It's an action game as opposed to a turn-based RPG.
