30 years ago, a man somehow obtained the legendary Mask of Loki, an item of amazing powers (and crazy expressions and gags) and that man would become a completely different figure known as The Mask. The Mask of Loki was very dangerous to control and was thrown into the ocean by the main user. But 30 years later (Not counting the events in Son of The Mask!) A new holder of The Mask was found. And this one....Was a girl. Now she possess the Mask and every night she wears it, being tempted by it. But using the powers, she is a super hero, but her identity is unknown. And on top of that, viscous danger rises in the location of New York. A Mad Scientist group known as "Chaos" plan to use their technology to brainwash people, make the human race more superior, and change the entire world completely....With them as leaders, but The Mask stands in their way, and Chaos pledges that whoever stands in their way will be destroyed. Now others strive to see The Mask and want to know who it really is....Also....To wear it.....

~New York Time Square~

 

"EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it! The Green Masked Menace strikes again!" A newspaper said at a stand on the sidewalk. People surrounded it to just get an update on the infamous nocturnal hero. Young 16 year old, Mary Louie was on the other side of the sidewalk watching. She sighed and smiled.

 

"The public....They always want more."

"S-see you..." said Cyrus, still bafled over what just happened. The concept of someone being an enemy and then suddenly a friend was surprisingly odd for him.

"Oh man...I'm so glad he calm down. For second there I thought I might have to kill him" she whispered to herself. "At least I'm getting better with people. Kinda." She ran into the other side of the abandoned building. She secretly closes the door. "Ok I'm here!"

 

After a few hours, she left and made her way home. Serenity was tired and wasn't in a good mood. "Hey Mary I'm back. You didn't eat any of my sweets right? Mary?"

"Oh Serenity, hi!" Mary Louie said, sounding nervous. She had a drop of sweat on her forehead. "So um....About the bag of sweets, trust me, I did not eat them, but uh....Tina swiped them behind my back and she will NOT give it up." She smiled nervously. She had chased Tina all around the house trying to get it back, but it was no use! That cat was too quick! "You wouldn't mind um, helping me get back cause....*whispering* She's asleep." She said and pointed to the living room where Tina was sleeping and holding the bag tightly.

Serenity glared at her angrily and punched the wall. She slowly smiled but her voice was low "Mary...I'm not in a good mood. I'm really tired and you know better then getting close to Tina." She turned around, putting on her hood. "You know what? You take the sweets away from her and I'll go get us something to eat. Oh don't worry about me, I'll be fine."

Mary could do nothing but gulp. Serenity was her best friend and she let her down. "O-Okay...Sorry." She said, dissapointed in herself. "Wait, since I'll busy and you'll be out at this time of night.....You sure you don't want to take..."The Mask"?" She whispered "The Mask part very quietly. She was smart enough to know that it could be dangerous for her identity to be known. But she wouldn't want to have her friend in danger. This was only for safety measures, but there are always risks...

Serenity thought about it for moment then took The Mask. "I'll only use this when something happens to me. Then again I never really use this before. I know its pretry late but you sure you want me to take it? I mean its barely 8:45pm"

"Things happen. Trust me. Besides, I'm the only who's been using it so far. But then again..." She looked at the Mask. "I don't know what you'll be like when you wear it....But it's a risk I'm willing to take....Or..." She took The Mask back from Serenity's hand. "How about I wear it now? It won't be so hard getting the bag back and protect you from any danger!"

"Goodbye" she said as she closes the door. She didn't want her best friend to protect her or deal with her in her Mask form. She looks up at the sky and pouted. "You don't really get to see many stars here..." She then started to walk in the streets with her hands in her pockets and her hood on her head. She looked at the people passing by as she walked. She saw a little girl holding her mother's hand. "Your lucky" she whispered. Serenity continued walking on the streets hoping something make her day a little better

Arbor was walking back from his classes (Im gonna assume there was at least an hour long time skip) "That was too irritiable." He muttered as he followed the sidewalks. He then looked up at the sky. "Why does something feel off today?"

Mary Louie sighed. There goes her best friend out of the house. But she noticed something. She still had the Mask in her hands. In the palm of her hands. It was very tempting to wear. Doubts raced through her mind of why not to wear it. But one thought said, If something happens to Serenity, I'll never forgive myself!   Mary gulped. The Mask was getting closer and closer to her face. In moments....It leaped on to her! She screamed for the transformation was beginning. Her face was glowing and turning green. Lightning was striking, wind was blowing, then she started to spin around and around the house! She span and span from the living room to the kitchen to the table and then....She stopped. Her face was green, she wore a black zoot suit and a black hat. "Let's get this party started here! Cause I've got Fiesta Fever! Aye Aye Aye!"

Serenity looked up and accidentally bumed into Arbor. "Ow hey! Ahh..." She took a deep breathe, trying not to get angry. "Sorry I didn't pay attention where I was going" she muttered and didn't look up.

Once again Arbor was knocked down on the same day. He slowly stands up, brushes off the dust and then holds out his hand. "Trust me, its probably my fault. Werent you hanging out with the other girl who ran into me.... Mary or something i think" he said.

She took his and nodded. "Oh yeah that's her name. She's my best friend. I'm guessing you must have bumped into her too." Then suddenly, Serenity holds Arbor and closes her eyes. "Sorry if this is sudden but I'm very tired and hungry. I'm getting something to eat right now and I'm not acting like myself sorry. Also my name is Serenity. What's your name?"

"Im Arbor." He says. He then seems to examine her "are you feeling unwell?" He asks as he adjusts the glasses. His necklace sways slightly as he moves. He appears to have an air of uncertainty about him. As if he is almost absolutely ignorant of the world outside of the present.

~Back at the house~

 

"Let's see if I can sweet escape with the bag of sweets!" Masked Mary said. She was standing in the living room, in front of Tina, who was in her bed and sleeping. The orange cat held on to the bag of sweets tightly in her sleep. Was this really going to be tough?...

"Hey Kitty....Wakey wakey!"

Tina yawned and stretched her legs out. She began to open her eyes and see the green faced girl.

 

".....BOO!" This made Tina do 3 things: Jump in the air, yell, and run away, leaving the bag of sweets behind, which Masked Mary Louie grabbed, stretched her hand all the way to the table and placed it there, like nothing happened to it. "When the cat's away....The Sweets run away. HAH!" Masked Mary walked around the house and looked at the clock that was shown on the oven. Reading 9:05.

"My, my....The night still lives on! Might as well make the most of it and hang out on the streets! But first....I gotta look GORGEOUS!" With that, in a flash, Masked Mary Louie made it to the bathroom and readied herself. She took off her hat, quickly brushed her hair, combed it, straightened it out, wash her face, dried herself with a blow dryer, put her black her black hat back on and said..."Purrr...Somebody Stop Me!" She raced out of the bathroom and outside she walked along the sidewalk.  

"Yeah I'm feeling..." She held onto him a little longer. "Arbor I don't know what's wrong with me today. I feel a little different. I'm not acting like myself. Why am I holding you?" She slowly looked at him. "Yet for some reason, you look familiar." She put her head on his chest and closes eyes. "I'm so weird..."

Arbor keeps her up but is clearly unsure of what to do. "Um...." He looks around. "I dont know where you live so I can take you home. You clearly need to rest." He says.

Masked Mary was in a small ally, watching Serenity and Arbor's meeting.

"Looks like somebody's got an apple of the eyes, I see. I gotta get the big scoop on this story." She whispered to herself. With one spin, she was dressed like a spy with the cool glasses, nice looking suit, and bow tie. She pressed a button on her watch, making Serenity's phone ring and she said "Agent M.L. To Agent B.F.F. Do you copy, I repeat, do you copy?"

Serenity hears her phone ringing and silents it. Didnt want to tell Mary whats going on right now. Though Arbor was right. She knew that she had to go back and get some rest. But she did walked pretty far from her home. "Hey could you do me a favor? Can I stay at your place for a little bit? Please?"

Cyrus was still grinding over what happened that afternoon, He was a shady bar, drinking a coffee on the bar's table.

 

"There's something about that girl that was... off." thought Cyrus. "And they still haven't called me... How long is it gonna take?"

Then Cyrus's phone rang. They were ready to transport him.

Cyrus answered the call. "We're ready to transport you."  said the person on the phone.

Cyrus muttered words of approval, left some coins on the table, and went to the bathroom.

 

Cyrus was alone in the bathroom, and suddenly got transported.

In a rather large, white lab, Cyrus appeared on the podium of a machine. A man was standing in front of it, looking to be in his 40s, wearing a lab coat. He went by the name of E. "Welcome back Cyrus." He said in a generous tone. "Sorry for the long wait. It wouldn't have been if C hadn't spilled soda all over the Transporter!" He yelled out, glaring at another man shorter than he is, in mid 30s, wearing a lab coat, and drinking a drink with a straw. He stopped and said, "I was trying to be careful!"

"Walking faster isn't being careful!"

"Alright, I hear you... So what do you want me to do this time around? I'm tired of just wandering around." said Cyrus with some boredom on his voice.

"Hmm.....Well, you could help M test out a few creations of his." E said. "Or at least train C" He added.
