~Inspired by Psychonauts to kick off the season of Summer and Summer Vacation~~
Humans in the past have been born with spiritual connections to the Earth and nature. This special connection has caused humans that are born with it develop special supernatural abilities. These abilities are psychic and vary from person to person.
Psychics have been subjected to persecution in old times. Many psychics have been thought to be evil witches and therefore have been condemned to death. Because of this they went into hiding and the stores of the psychics have turned into nothing but silly folk tales. The psychics that survived banded together to help the next generation of psychics. These young psychics train in a special place called Camp Rosewater.
Camp Rosewater is a safe haven for young psychics to train in their abilities, and overall have fun. Hidden from the outside world in upstate New York, Rosewater is an island located in the middle of a large lake. Once arrived, campers will be taken to the island via boat, and then will be assigned an arrowhead as well as a counselor and cabin.
Arrowheads are mementos of the Native American culture from long ago. As the first psychics date back to the very first Native Americans, it is believed that these arrowheads were enchanted with psychic energy to protect the holder from evil spirits as well as to enhance one's psychic abilities. As a result, arrowheads are often used by psychics to this day.
Campers at the camp are assigned one of three types of arrowheads.
Purple Arrowheads: It is believed that these arrowheads protect holders from evil spirits as well as dark magic. Today however they are used to suppress and prevent one from abusing their psychic powers. Because of this campers are given these purple arrowheads to wear around their necks to prevent campers from causing harm and mischief with their abilities.
Blue Arrowheads: These arrowheads enhance psychic energies and abilities and it was once believed that these arrowheads unlock the true potential of an individual. They are very rare and are found buried in the ground.
Gray Arrowheads: Often called dull arrowheads, these ordinary arrowheads are commonly used as currency between campers to trade goods such as candies and snacks. They are sometimes also used in many games on the ground. Gray arrowheads are very easy to find and are often found by digging in the ground.
Welcome to Camp Rosewater! You are either a young camper or an older counselor. As you arrive at the docks to travel to Camp Rosewater, look forward to the fun summer ahead!
-Abilities-
Telekinesis: Can move objects with your mind.
Pyrokinesis: Can create fire or extinguish fire with your mind.
Apporation: Can teleport objects and people.
Aura Read: Can read energy fields around people, objects, and places.
Clairvoyance: Can see objects or actions beyond the range of natural vision. "Second sight."
Dowsing: Can locate any lost object. (Must have a sample of the object; lost person, must have person's shirt, hair, etc.)
Medium: Can communicate with the dead, demons, and lost spirits.
Precognition: Can see potential events before they happen.
Retrocognition: Can see past events.
Telepathy: Can transfer thoughts to another through the mind. (Can also conduct mental phone calls to another nearby person)
Empathy: Can plant emotions into another person. Can also sense any emotion one has.
Other: You can make up your own ability! Make sure to have me approve of it first.
Side Effects: All psychic abilities, when used or abused excessively, can cause physical harm to the user including nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, unconsciousness, temporarily or permanent blindness, and in extreme cases, death.

You may either be a camper or a part of the staff (Counselor, cook, etc.)
Whatever ability you choose, you cannot be over-powered. Psychic abilities take up a lot of energy!
Campers are 10-18 years old, staff can be 19 and up.

No killing characters or critically injuring them without permission.
No controlling other characters without permission.

I'm just gonna assume you read the rules because I trust you, but post your favorite summer activity at the end of your Sign Up sheet!
Also, I will pair up the campers with counselors before the RP starts. Because obviously about four campers are paired up with a counselor more campers than counselors are needed. Because girls came be paired up with boys, I would love it if someone made a female counselor for the girl campers~!

Personality: August, or Sickle to others, is a very blunt sarcastic man. He speaks what is on his mind especially when it comes to what he thinks is not right. He is very kind to his campers and will go out of his way to make sure they are not harmed. He makes plenty of jokes, and will not hesitate to do what he thinks is right.
Bio: Sickle has had somewhat of a troubled past. He lived with many relatives throughout his life however now the only true family he has is with his camp. Because of his power he saw many things, and many truths which caused him to grow up at a young age. He used to live alone since he was sixteen until he found solace in Camp Rosewater and as a result he decided to live there. Because he relates with his campers and takes their side, he is very popular with the campers and many try to make sure they are paired up with him.

Personality: Tabitha is a very calm intelligent young boy. He is very friendly and never hesitates to lend an ear to listen to one's problems. He is somewhat quiet and observant, only truly talking when he is in company with his closest allies. He often thinks before he does things and pays attention to the big picture.
Bio: Tabitha was born in England to an English father and an American mother. Because his parents originally thought that he was a girl before birth, they had given him the name Tabitha and decided not to change it. Tabitha doesn't mind as all, although he dislikes being called 'Tabby.' He has been attending Camp Rosewater for quite some time and enjoys attending the camp every single year. Despite growing up in England, Tabitha has a very faint accent.
