"Of course, Disney Interactive and Square Enix [are the] publisher. They’re combining their forces to bring Kingdom Hearts. So, the other associated companies under Disney [are] not something that is as simple as us consulting with Disney Interactive. So, unfortunately, the lineup is kind of considered as different".

With the possibilities of all the different Disney worlds that could appear in Kingdom Hearts 3, this statement satisfies and scare me at the same damn time. Why you wonder? simple, one word, Pixar.

Of course, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar are under the Walt Disney umbrella way before Marvel and Star Wars, however, Pixar has been expressed to be its own separate studio with no direct association with Walt Disney Animation Studio. They do not help each other at all whatsoever with their respective movies. This was agreed upon to distinguish both of these different studios in Disney.

Now, it is not all doom and gloom, and you know why? one person: John Lasseter.

Now you're wondering, what's so special about him? Oh, for people who do not know, you're going to be surprised... John Lasseter is the animation boss for Pixar when it first started and became the animation boss for Walt Disney Animation Studios after Disney outright purchased Pixar. Okay, that may not be much but let me tell you his legacy: he is the director and creator of Toy Story, Toy Story 2 and A Bugs Life. Now, away from the tangent and back to the main topic at hand, in layman terms...

Pixar will be accepted in Kingdom Hearts 3 if John Lasseter accepts Pixar properties in Kingdom Hearts 3.

So, do you think that John Lasseter sees the magic of Pixar in kingdom Hearts 3 and allows Square Enix and Disney to implement it?

Just saw Inside Out they could fit as well like Joy, Anger, Disgust, Sadness, and Fear would be Sora's emotions.

I can't wait to see it in the UK, but from everything I've seen, that Pixar movie makes the most sense to be featured in Kingdom Hearts 3! The possibilities all write themselves. I can see Sora battling against Jangles The Clown!

To be honest, people only want Pixar in Kingdom Hearts for Toy Story... nothing more nothing less.

Pixar is very likely with Tangled so I doubt about the technical issues.

And the most will be new worlds so probably yes.

What does Tangled have to do with Pixar being included? I must be missing something.

Just that it is 3D.

Just that it is 3D.

That doesn't really have anything to do with Pixar. Chicken Little was the first cg movie by disney without pixar, and it was added in for advertising purposes. The movie itself was awful, but the summon was somewhat decent.

They stopped using hand drawn animation a long time ago. They still do some in their tv shows, but it's more of the simple cartoon style that's being used in everything now rather than the classic Disney artstyle.

Well, I suppose they decided to add CG worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3 due to capturing the worlds feel in the Kingdom Shader style.

One of the factors i believe that contributed in the exclusion of Woody and Buzz as summons was at the time, Pixar and Disney weren't in the best of terms, (Micheal Eisner was still in charge of Disney, and Steve Jobs was thinking of finding a different distributor). Wasn't till Bob Iger became CEO, and bought Pixar (which made Steve Jobs the highest shareholder of Disney). Then of course Lasseter and Catmull took charge of both Animation Studios.

Lasseter was also the one who contributed to the help of making Disney Infinity, so we should expect him to do the same in KH3. This is where we are probably guessing that Nomura asked to OFFICIALLY use Pixar.

Well, Disney has had the Kingdom Hearts franchise under their belt far longer than Disney Infinity so they'd put their all in once a main series game is released.

But, back to the technicalities of Pixar's history, yeah, Michael Eisner was a donkey. He seen the company as nothing more than a profit making machine and did absolutely everything on the cheap. He abused his relationship with all his associated partners (especially Steve Jobs). The only good thing Michael Eisner ever really did do for the company was have Bob Iger be his successor. Bob Iger has transformed Disney into the powerhouse that it once was and more by buying Marvel and Lucasfilm. He's been the best Disney CEO to late (if you exclude the originator: Walt Disney himself). I'm so glad that Circle 7 never came into fruition!

Honestly, John Lasseter loves Japanese cinema (as he's good friends with Miyazaki) He's be more than honoured for Pixar to be represented in Kingdom Hearts 3.
