OK so I was going to a building to get a workout and I went into the elevator and then it closed and I pressed floor 5 and then like 2 seconds later, the power went out and then like 20 seconds later it went back on again and the light for when I pressed 5 was turned out and I was still only on the 1st floor, so I pressed 5 like 20 times and then that didn't work, and then I tried to press the door open button but that wouldn't work. By then I was REALLY creeped out. I started pounding on the elevator door so that someone could hear me but no one did, so I was forced to open up the elevator door. But I was thinking... what IF I couldn't open up the door? I would be stuck there forever. I was really creeped out. Disscuss

Wow... That sounds like something out of a horror movie. Well it seems your alright, maybe a bit shaken up, but okay nevertheless. I'd probably just sit there like an idiot if I was in your posistion. Thank god your smarter than me. Emo is lying so much he'd probably fill a bucket Shut up slash through.

lol thks Emo pfftttt I SO know that you would've just sat there all my strike throughs are full of lies dont listen to them ^

I once got stucked on an elevator when I was six.I had entered alone and the power went out, witch caused a melt-down in the system.I was stuck there for quite a while, but then I fell asleep because was tired of screaming."What the hell happened?!Get me out of here!MOM!"as I kicked and punched the door. But I'm glad that you're OK and that nothing bad happened.Like the elevator falling down from a very high floor and getting you killed. Don't listen to them. They're only here cause they're bored. So true.

I have always had the fear of that happening to me, I take stairs if I can.

Isn't there a button or something that calls for help? In most countries elevators are required to have that feature. So if the doors didn't open and there wasn't something more serious to take care of then an emergency response team can get you out.

I'm afraid of the wire snapping and the elevator crashing to the bottom. I know they have safety features but sometimes they fail. I don't get paranoid about it but when the elevator is old and rickety i get nervous sometimes.

Same, if an elevator is old then I never use it. I have never been in an elevator alone and probably never will, plus get a good work out by taking stairs. I'm glad you got out of there heartless101, I would have freaked out and probably kept on screaming for help since I'm not really strong and could force elevator doors open (if they are really heavy).

I didn't know where that emergance button thing is

That's freaky! Although I saw on T.V. most elevators have cameras in them, and there's always those emergancy buttons on the panel thing-y.

It depends on the elevator. Sometimes its obvious but other times you may have to open a panel or something. If there is no alarm button then there may be a phone concealed somewhere. If your trapped in an elevator than you will have plenty of time to find it.

FIND THE EMERGENCY BUTTON NEXT TIME!!!!!that creeped me out just thinking
