So my friend is just getting into kingdom hearts and she watched a video that explains the plot to you, something she could watch to get her interested in it, shes now watching some one play KH1 and has quite a bit of question she wants to ask. I love kingdom hearts, but i honestly have no clue how to answer her so i was wondering if you could help me.

 

She sorta rants in this:

 

 

Okay okay. Alright. alright. Okay. I don't get this. Why is namine kairi's nobody? Because, kingdom hearts basics 101, a nobody is created when a person's heart gets consumed by darkness and if the heart of the person is strong, the nobody will take on a human or a monster form. Yes? Yes? okay.

 

 SO! With that being said, why is namine kairi's nobody? Kairi is a princess who's heart is made of pure light, so her heart cannot be consumed by darkness, so therefore her heart cannot create a nobody, yes? yes? Okay, SO WHY IS NAMINE KAIRI'S NOBODY? So we also know that Sora was being a homie and decided to let Kairi's heart take refuge in his body to heal up and shit, right right???? Okay, so we also know that Sora's heart at that point was intertwined with Ven's heart because Ven's heart was shattered. So when Sora opened up his heart to release kairi's, thus ended up creating Roxas and Namine. Right right? So wouldn't it be considered Sora's nobody?

 

 Since Sora had two hearts in him, One being Ven/Sora and the other being sole, Kairi's. We know that it's the heart that creates the nobody, so Roxas is created along side of Namine, that means ONE of the hearts in Sora's body had to had have a will strong enough to create a nobody, since we know it can't be Kairi's, it must've been Sora/Ven's. Why would this still be considered namine's nobody at this point, because the nobody was created because of sora's body, who had both equal light and darkness in his heart. But wait i'm not done. If it really was Sora's will that created Roxas and Namine, why does roxas look like an exact replica of Ven and why does namine look like no one?

 

 Ven doesn't look like Sora at all, and Namine looks like Kairi and Ven went off and had a love child. I mean wouldn't a heart who is shattered and has to intertwine itself with another heart just to survive be less willful than the heart that is whole? Wouldn't Sora have more of an influence, therefore, shouldn't Roxas look more like Sora? Shouldn't Namine look more like Sora too? But why do they both look like Ven?

 

 Namine literally looks like the female version of Ven, with a bit of Kairi on the side. Because it's the person heart that creates the nobody, because if the heart is strong the remains will become a nobody. The nobody takes on the form of it's heart. And since we've already seen human nobodies, they look almost exact to there counterparts. Roxas looks nothing like sora, Namine Looks nothing like Sora, but wait they both look astonishingly close to Ven. But at this point Ven's body was in the Chambers of Waking patiently waiting for his heart to heal so that it can return. it seems like it was Ven's heart that created Roxas and Namine, therefore they looked more like Ven and not Sora.

 

BUT WHO KNOWS BECAUSE I'M NOT THAT BIG ON KINGDOM HEARTS SO MAYBE IM JUST DUMB.

Roxas is Sora's Nobody period end of story. The only reason Roxas looks like Ventus is because during his entire existence he was harboring Ven's heart. The heart shapes the vessel so Roxas' appearance was affected by Ven's heart.

Your first reason doesn't even make sense in the context of your overall point it just looks like fluffy rambling. At any rate Xion was crafted completely from Sora's memories of Kairi. This had nothing to do with Ventus and only affected Sora by trapping his memories within herself. Ventus did not share a core with Sora he merely sought refuge inside Sora.

 

 

Also it is Roxas' status as Sora's Nobody that granted him the ability to wield the Keyblade. In fact Roxas would later awaken the ability to wield Ven's Keyblade alongside of Sora's after his fight with Xion. If Roxas was Ven wouldn't it be the other way around.

Ventus heart was dormant for most of his existence. However we find out in DDD that the body once purged of the heart the body immediately tries to replace it. As such Roxas throughout his ventures began to grow his own heart allowing him to feel emotions denied to some of the others. The emotions of Roxas' own heart would also effect Ven's heart forcing it to awaken and allowing him access to Ven's Keyblade.

 

Roxas and Ventus situations were completely different. Ventus had just had the dark part of his heart stripped clean of him. The reason why he appeared as such is because his heart was still recovering and adjusting to the trauma it just suffered. Roxas on the other hand appeared that way because he was born with no memory and no notion of identity. He was essentially  born as a clean slate because Sora still had his own memories thanks to Kairi and Ventus' heart was still dormant.

 

 

 

 

Ventus' heart was severely fractured by his fight with Vanitas. It is the very reason he sought refuge within Sora to begin with. Had Ven's heart left Sora's body during the split it would have faded to darkness.

 

 

 

Vanitas is part of  Ven's heart in destroying him he lost a large chunk of his own heart. The incomplete X-blade was forged with Ven's heart as well so on top of destroying his own heart he further damaged his heart by destroying the X-blade which forced the what little was left to be forcibly ejected from his body.

 

Namine is a true Nobody in every sense of the word like Flaming Lea said she is a complete anomaly because she truly is not supposed to exist. The catalyst to the formation of a Nobody and a Heartless is having the heart swallowed by darkness. Kairi as a Princess of Heart has a heart of pure light devoid of any darkness. She is unable to produce a Heartless because of this fact. However when her heart which sought refuge in Sora's body was released Sora's own darkness acted as the catalyst to kick start the process Kairi couldn't naturally do. As such Sora's body and soul was used as an intermediary to form Namine's existence without actually having Sora's body herself.
