Let me introduce you to my latest story, titled “The Keyblade War Chapter III: Beauty Of Apocalypse!” For those of you who have been following the Keyblade War Saga since 2011, let me inform you that this is the final chapter in the Keyblade War trilogy, and as such, I’m going to finish this epic saga with a bang!  Also, for newcomers who have recently gotten into my stories or are perhaps taking a look at this here story I’m going to post, I want to let you know that the other two installments of the Keyblade War Saga are here on this site!  But, to save the trouble of having to look everywhere to find them, I’ll link them here for you!

Synopsis

  It has been a long road for the Keyblade Wielders, the guardians of the balance between light and darkness.  They have overcome many ordeals, and have suffered many losses and been witness to selfless sacrifices.  Everything that has transpired has led to this.  It all started when a mysterious new threat had emerged in the worlds, and the Keyblade Wielders were tasked with finding out what the threat was, since war seemed to be looming close.  What our heroes found were the Unborn, a strange new breed of enemies that, along with the Heartless, were wreaking havoc upon the worlds. The Keyblade Wielders got to the bottom of things, and after discovering the people responsible for the crisis in the worlds, our heroes spurred into action and attempted to stop the threat!

 

  Many difficult ordeals were placed upon the Keyblade Wielders, and they bore witness to new allies, betrayals, destruction and death!  After battling the Unborn and Dark Orion’s organization alongside these new friends, in addition to gaining the Nobodies and Unversed as allies as well, our heroes were able to fend back the forces of darkness, and so preventing further harm to the worlds.  But, the war was not over…no, it had just merely begun!

 

  Three years later, after a long period of peace, a new threat emerged to threaten the worlds anew.  To prevent anything bad from happening, our heroes split into groups of three and went about exploring different worlds, hoping to stop whatever threat was awaiting before it had a chance to plant its roots.  Dawn, who sensed something terrible was going to happen, and having wanted to meet Riku since the battle with Dark Orion, was able to escape the fortress she lived in, with the help of her friend Valgard.  Soon, after, she was finally able to meet Riku, and she tagged along with Kairi and Mickey on their journey.  Along the way, Sora, Donald and Goofy were captured by the enemy, while Trish, Ventus and Kyle were beset by Jexana, a woman hell bent on having Ventus as her own!  Meanwhile, Xion, Dexeres and Vanitas were hot on Sora, Donald and Goofy’s trail, hoping to find them as soon as possible!

 

  Through separate paths our heroes united, and then they bore witness to the one person behind everything: Xylek, the man who was a mere ‘underling’ for Dark Orion, had actually been the puppet master of this whole crusade the entire time!  After a grueling and tiring battle, our heroes were able to defeat Xylek once and for all, but the battle was not without its toll.  Roxas, Terra and Aqua ended up sacrificing their lives to ensure that the worlds would not perish, and Kyle entered a coma, no one knowing when he would awaken.  Trish and Ventus remained under Jexana’s care, and Riku had been fatally wounded, and the worlds were shaken asunder by Xylek’s madness.  But, if all these sacrifices had been able to stop his plans, then the hurt would have been easier to bear…but, it was not to be.

 

  Even though Xylek is no more, his plans have already been set in motion, and now, Keyblade Wielders from all corners of the universe, and other universes are now gathering to fight for their own reasons, coming together to usher a new Keyblade War!  Our heroes were not able to stop this from happening.  They were powerless to do anything about it.  Now, all they can do is cling to any sliver of hope they have, for the war that is to come shall be catastrophic, and it could mean the end of everything…the beginning of the end…

Prologue: The Death Of Hope

  The sky was darkening.  Everyone in Disney Town, who were a safe distance away, were looking upwards, as small dots appeared in the sky, seeming to head towards their direction!  Queen Minnie instantly felt a shiver down her spine…she knew that this was an ill omen.  She looked towards Daisy, Chip and Dale, and the few other citizens who survived from the chaos that had decimated their homes, and she couldn’t help but feel despair.  She stood there, powerless, unable to do anything to comfort them.  She was too scared…she didn’t know what to do now.  She clasped her hands together as a tear rolled down her cheek, and through soft, whispered sobs, she started to pray.

 

  “Oh Mickey…wherever you are, please be safe!  I fear something terrible is about to happen!” she said to herself softly, and then she felt a hand on her shoulder, and when she glanced back, it was Daisy, who was standing by her side.

 

  “Minnie, we have to get our people to safety.  I’m pretty sure that whatever those things in the sky are can’t be anything good!” she urged as she glanced back at everyone.  The Queen sighed.

 

  “B-but what can we do, Daisy?  I’m scared…I-I don’t know what to tell everyone!  What should we tell them?” she asked in distress.  Daisy gave a compassionate and sad expression and she slightly tensed.

 

  “We’ll tell them that it’ll all be okay…we need to give our people hope!  As long as King Mickey and the others are alive, things will turn out okay!” Daisy answered, and Minnie smiled momentarily, but then her smile faded into a frown.

 

  “Daisy…I need you to get everyone to safety…” the Queen said, and Daisy raised her eyebrow.

 

  “Wait…what about you?” she asked, worrying at what the Queen’s answer would be.  Suddenly, Cid came running towards them, panting and sweating, as though he had been running for miles.  The Queen then turned around to face him.

 

  “Your Majesty, the airship is ready!  I finished all the modifications as fast as I could!  We’re ready to leave!” he said in between huffs, and the Queen nodded.

 

  “Good…now take everyone, and get as far away from here as you can!  Find somewhere safe for everyone!” the Queen commanded, and Cid nodded sadly.

 

  “Yes, your Majesty…now come on everyone, let’s go, follow me!” Cid urged as he ran towards the airship, and everyone else followed suit, until only Daisy remained.  Tears were forming in her eyes.

 

  “You’re not coming with us…are you?” she asked, and the Queen, walking towards her and holding her hands, nodded sadly.

 

  “No, I am not.  Daisy, you need to take care of everyone in my stead!  I’ll try to hold off whatever those things are!  I need to do this…for our people.” she said with ironclad determination.  Daisy huffed and tapped her foot.

 

  “N-No, I can’t accept this!  I won’t leave without you!” she said, pleading for the Queen to come.  But the Queen simply hugged her lifelong friend, trying to hold her tears, and then she pulled away, holding her hands.

 

  “My dearest friend Daisy, you don’t know how much I’ve cherished our friendship together for all these years!  We’ve been on so many adventures together, and we’ve been through good times and bad times!  Throughout the years, I’ve cherished all the moments we’ve been able to spend time together!  There’s nothing I value more than our friendship!  That’s why I’m asking you to please lead our people!  I know this will be hard road for you, but with time, you’ll be able to manage things without me…but please don’t try to stop me.  My heart is commanding me to do this, and I will not waver.  Please, as my lifelong friend, fulfill my request!” the Queen pleaded, trying persistently hard to hold back her tears.  Daisy remained silent for a few moments, and then she nodded slowly, also holding back her tears, and with a look of determination on her face.

 

  “I’ll do my best, Minnie…” was all she could manage to say, and with that, she turned away and ran towards the airship along with everyone else, and Minnie, who turned around to look at the direction of Disney Castle, shed tears anew.

 

  “Farewell…my dearest friend…” she whispered, and as soon as the airship had departed, Minnie closed her eyes and then prepared herself for what was to come.

  At that same moment, in the sky, Jexana was looking down on Disney castle from her airship, and Ventus quietly stood beside her, lifeless and stoic.  She had quite the amused smirk on her face.  She knew that the worlds were now at their breaking point, and destroying what was left of King Mickey and Queen Minnie’s world would be the first step in bringing down opposition.  While contently viewing what lay below, Emmxett suddenly appeared from inside the airship, alongside two soldiers.  He walked towards Jexana and then stood by her side, gazing outwards to the ever expanding sky, and then gazing down at Disney Castle.  He noticed that everything looked barren and destroyed.  He then looked at Jexana.

 

  “It would seem that everyone has left this world.” he commented.  Jexana, whom turned around and then touched Ventus’s face, only kept smirking.

 

  “Yes, the pests went flying away…all except one!” she said as she pointed towards a hill that was a short distance away from the castle.  Emmxett squinted his eyes, and then he saw Queen Minnie, who was simply standing there.  He felt quite amused.

 

  “Huh, so the Queen decided to stay?  I wonder what good that’ll do?  She won’t be able to take out our airship fleet!  What does she aim to do?” he asked, and Jexana chuckled and then hugged Ventus and glanced back to where Minnie was.

 

  “The fool’s making a diversion.  She thinks that by staying behind, she’ll be able to buy enough time for her friends to escape.  An admirable effort, I must say, but it’s all in vain.  Even if they get far, we’ll still catch up to them.” she answered calmly.  Emmxett then crossed his arms.

 

  “So, shall I deploy the ground troops and scour this world for anything of value?” he asked, but Jexana shook her head.

 

  “No, there’s no need.  We’ll destroy this place with an air strike.  That little Queen won’t survive.” she answered with confidence.

 

  “Right.  Then we’ll proceed with the air strike!  Men, let’s move out!” Emmxett commanded.

 

  “Sir!” the soldiers shouted as they heeded Emmxett’s command, and with that, they headed back inside the airship.

 

  “You will die for nothing, little Queen!” Jexana burst out as she laughed joyfully.  Ventus slightly moved his arms to hold Jexana close.

 

  “Is there anything I can do…my love?” he asked slowly, but Jexana shook her head and made a satisfying smile.

 

  “No, my dearest, there’s no need for you to do anything.  All you have to do is stay by my side!” she answered as she happily kissed his lips, and then she looked down upon the ruins of Disney Castle, clearly enjoying herself.

  Down below, the Queen was already prepared for the inevitable. If she had to be sacrificed in order to ensure the survival of all her loved ones, she’d gladly give away her life.  But, that didn’t mean she was going to down without a fight!  As she closed her eyes, the Queen concentrated her energy, and seconds later, giant pillars of light surrounded her in the form of a pentagon, and then, when she opened her eyes, she sent forth one of the pillars, and when it was near the fleet of airships, she waved her hand, causing the pillar to burst in a fantastic explosion!  At first, she thought she hadn’t done any damage, but when she looked closely, she saw that three airships had fallen to their destruction!  She smiled and felt confident, and she looked up at the sky.  But, soon after, the lead airship came down until it reached the Queen, and from the airship’s deck, Jexana leapt down, landing gracefully on the ground, and then Ventus proceeded to follow suit.  The Queen opened her eyes in shock as she saw Ventus.  Why was he with the enemy?  That’s what she thought, but then she noticed his eyes were pale, and at that point, she assumed he was under a spell.  Jexana clapped her hands slowly and she looked in the direction where the three airships had fallen, and then she turned her attention to the Queen again.

 

  “I have to say, I’m quite impressed!  I didn’t imagine you would be able to take down ships of my fleet!” she remarked, and the Queen smirked, standing at the ready for her next attack.

 

  “Well, I’m glad to have made an impression on you!  Anything less would be an insult.” the Queen replied.  Jexana scoffed and then she summoned forth dark snakes from the ground, and the snakes weaved into her arms, and then one of the snake’s heads curled up in Jexana’s right hand, and she pointed it at the Queen.

 

  “You really have some nerve, trying to oppose me!  Some nerve, indeed!” Jexana growled, but the Queen ignored her comment as she continued to gaze at Ventus.  Jexana, catching up on what was going on, smirked and bore a mocking expression.

 

  “Ah, I bet you’re wondering what happened to your former friend, correct?  Well, to put a long story short, I liberated him from himself.  Now he belongs to me!” she said, her face beaming with pride.  The Queen simply laughed and crossed her arms.

 

  “That little trick of yours won’t last for long!  I know Ventus, and right now, I know that he’s struggling to be free of you!  He will break free!” the Queen proclaimed defiantly, and at that, Jexana snapped and wrapped the Queen up with her dark snakes, and then she slapped the Queen’s face.

 

  “How dare you!?” Jexana growled, but then she soon regained her composure and cleared her throat.

 

  “It doesn’t matter what you say…you are already doomed.” she said, and with a snap of her fingers, all the airships in the sky started raining down endless explosive barrels, and when they struck the ground, Disney Town and what was left of Disney Castle turned to ashes.  The Queen, who had been determined one moment, was now bursting in tears the next.  Jexana destroyed the remaining pillars of light the Queen had summoned, and then she laughed as she saw the Queen suffering.

 

  “You monster…” the Queen whispered, as she bowed her head, defeated, unable to move.  Jexana then knelt down to see eye to eye with the Queen, and then she rubbed her head.

 

  “Ah, and where is the Queen who was outright defying me just mere seconds ago?  Did she already cower away!?” Jexana mocked with utmost cruelty, and the Queen continued to cry.

 

  “How could you do this….how could you!?  You’ve destroyed the homes of countless people, and now they may never be able to return here!  How is it that you can do this without feeling the slightest bit of remorse!?” the Queen asked, demanding to know.

 

  “The simple reason for it all is that I simply can.  That’s all there is to it.  Worry not, little Queen.  You did admirably.  But even with your efforts, your home was still destroyed.  But don’t worry…you won’t have to live with this pain…not anymore.” Jexana whispered as she smirked.

  Meanwhile, in the Lanes Between, a solitary airship flies through.  It’s not as big as Jexana’s airships, but it’s not that small either.  Rather, the airship looks like it’s built to be extremely agile.  As the airship continues its calm and steady trek through the Lanes Between, a moogle comes out onto the deck, tired and wanting nothing more than to sit down and relax. The moogle has two pon pons, one colored blue, and the other colored red, and also has a heart shaped charm around its neck.  The moogle sighs and holds onto its charm, and it closes its eyes, ready to sleep.  But, soon after, a teenage boy comes out to the deck as well.  The boy is decked out in pirate attire, and he’s tanned skinned with short, black hair.  He has an eye patch over his left eye and a scar on his left cheek, and he has a hook for a left hand.  The boy looks at the moogle and stands firm.

 

  “Oi, who told you to take a nap?  We’ve got work to do!” he said to the moogle.  Distressed, said moogle flapped its wings weakly and whined.

 

  “Aw, but we’ve been at this for days now, kupo!  Can’t we take a short break?” the moogle pleaded, but the boy shook his head.

 

  “There are no breaks now…we can’t afford to take breaks.” the boy said grimly, and with no other words being uttered, the moogle quietly goes into position and continues to do what it was tasked to do.  Soon after, the boy followed suit.  Suddenly, a star went out.  The moogle gasped.

 

  “Oh no!  Is that what I think it is, kupo?” the moogle asked the boy in distress.  The boy looked intently in the direction where the star had gone out, and he sighed and then looked at the moogle and nooded.

 

  “Yes.  A world has fallen to darkness, never to return…” the boy said grimly.

The universe is now on the brink of bearing witness to the greatest Keyblade War that has ever taken place!  With King Mickey and Queen Minnie’s world completely destroyed, Jexana continues on her road of conquest!  And with Keyblade Wielders coming from all universes, what fate will befall the worlds?  Will our heroes be able to put a stop to this?  Everything is uncertain, but now, the journey towards the final battle shall begin in Chapter One: “A Road Long Traveled.”

 

Well then everyone, I hope that you all enjoyed this prologue!  Haha, I think it’s the most dramatic prologue I’ve made for any of my stories to date, and that’s saying something!  So then, I hope that all of you stick around, as I’ll be posting chapters regularly!  Let me know what you all think of the story, and well, until next time, stay tuned for the next chapter!  I hope you all enjoy my story!

Hello there everyone, and good evening!  I hope that you’re all doing okay!  So then, here’s the latest chapter of my story!  My deepest apologies for the delay!  I’ve been quite busy these past couple of days, so yeah, that’s why I wasn’t able to post the chapter earlier!  But here it is now, and I hope you enjoy!  Let’s see what’s happening to our heroes now!

 

Chapter Forty Seven: Owari-Part 7 Of 10: To End Sacrifices!

                Outside, the war was bloody, and it was relentless!  Ever since Lilith and her Knights Of Ygdrassil had come to aid Kairi and the others, they had managed to turn the tides of war in their favor, but even so, the enemy wasn’t one to give up all that easily!  But, Jexana’s troops had been diminished considerably, and what little reinforcements remained were being pushed back to the brink of obliteration!  Lilith was ensuring that this was the case!  With her sword, she raised her arm and pointed forward!

 

                “Onward men, to victory!” she shouted, and all her faithful soldiers gave out a triumphant battle cry!  They charged onward, and Jexana’s troops were now making a run for it!

 

                “It’s no use, we’re being overrun!  Retreat!!!” one of the soldiers screamed!

 

                Some of them tried to stand up to Lilith’s forces, but they were mowed down by relentless attacks and powerful spells that sent them flying everywhere!  Lilith cut down the enemy with ease, and the ones who managed to attack her weren’t all that succesful, for she simply blocked their attacks and struck them down!  This was child’s play to her!

 

                “It’s all over!  We’ve lost!  Run!!!” another soldier said, but they were cut down by Lilith and her knights!  Now only the Heartless and Unborn and a handful of soldiers remained still opposing them!  They were dealt with quickly and efficiently!  Knowing that this battle would be a losing one, the Heartless vanished, and the Unborn did as well, leaving only the few troops Jexana had left!  They dropped their weapons and they ran like mad!  Lilith’s knights were about to give pursuit, but Lilith simply raised her hand and shook her head.

 

                “Leave them.” she ordered.

 

                “But Lilith, they still live!” one of the soldiers pointed out.  Lilith simply smirked.

 

                “Those cowards are running away from death.  Killing them would only make things easier for them, easier for their conscience.  But letting them live on is worse, for they have to live in constant fear of us hunting them down.  That, and the shame of running away will gnaw at them.  So in reality, their cowardice will be their downfall.  We need not bother with them anymore.” Lilith explained.  The soldier nodded and bowed.

 

                “Of course.” the soldier replied.  He then looked at the giant gate, where Kingdom Hearts was, and then he looked at Lilith.

 

                “Ma’am?  Shall we go inside and assist our allies?” he asked. She shook her head.

 

                “No…we should stay outside, just in case more reinforcements come.  The final battle inside is one those Keyblade Wielders will have to wage on their own.  I won’t risk my men, or myself!  There’s an extent to where I’ll help…” she answered.  The soldier nodded.

 

                “Right, then we shall remain here!” he said, and then he went ahead to rally the troops!  Lilith then looked to her right, and noticed a Tyranto Rex looking at her expectantly.  She saw the other Spirits, Nobodies and Unversed that had helped in the battle, and the Nobodies faded away into nothingness, while the Unversed dissapered in masses of shadow, leaving only the Spirits on the battlefield!  The Tyranto Rex continued to stare at Lilith, and she reluctantly petted it!

 

                “Uh…there, there…” she said, and the Tyranto Rex growled softly, and Lilith smiled.  “You all fought well.” she said, and then she looked at the gate, and she couldn’t help but feel a slight bit of worry make its way into her heart.

 

                “Kairi…everyone…you better not screw up…” she thought to herself.

                Inside, there had been a momentary silence!  Everyone was still reeling from the explosion that Dexeres and Tsumugi had caused, and the light from the explosion had still been blinding them!  As a few seconds passed, the blinding light died down, and when everything cleared up, they saw that Dexeres and Tsumugi were no more!  Everyone remained silent, tears rolling down their faces!  More friends, lost to the chaos of this war!  They all felt a sense of despair, dread and hopelessness, but it looked like things were finally set right!  It was all over!  Or so they thought…

 

                “Grrraaaaa!!!!!!” Jexana shouted in agonizing pain, much to everyone’s surprise and dismay!  They were shocked, as they saw Jexana, extremely injured, and yet still alive!  Her body was scarred and burnt and even broken in some places!  But in just a few seconds, she straightened herself out, and her wounds slowly started to seal themselves up!  Everyone was shocked by this, and they couldn’t believe what was happening before their eyes!

 

                “No…this can’t…be!” Kyle exclaimed, faling to his knees in disbelief!  “Dexeres and Tsumugi…they died to kill you!” he said, confused at why their sacrifice didn’t work!

 

                “This witch refuses to die!” Vanitas looked on with a grim face.

 

                “That’s right…I refuse to die!  I won’t allow myself to die, because I have every reason to keep on living!  All of you are nothing but ignorant pests that won’t leave me alone!  I’m just about finished!” she said, as her body renewed itself completely, and then she held the X-Blade with both hands, raising it upward! “Soon, Ventus, everything will be like it used to be!” she declared happily!

 

                “Jexana, you’re insane!” Trish shouted!  Jexana simply smirked, and she enjoyed everyone’s faces, full of shock!

 

                “Oh, and all of you came all the way here, after so much trouble and hardship!  You all endured so much suffering, and you all had to see your friends die one by one, and all for nothing!  For even though you destroyed my army, I still stand!  And I will remain here, until all of you are finally gone!” Jexana shouted, as she began to charge her energy!  But then, emerald flames enveloped her, and she shrieked of pain!

 

                “Ahhh!!!  What the hell!?” Jexana exclaimed, and then she looked to her right, as did everyone else, and they saw that it was Maleficent, who was back to her normal form, who had put Jexana in flames!

 

                “I don’t need you in my way!” Jexana said, as she pointed the X-Blade at the evil fairy!  Maleficent did not budge, and Pete, with arms crossed, stood beside her, as did Armored Eraqus and Guardian Xehanort!

 

                “I am tired of your ceaseless prattling, you juvenile wretch!  Your ambitions are ridiculous, and you have no real lust for power!  All you want is Ventus…and quite frankly, you have your sights set low!” Maleficent scoffed as she shook her head.

 

                “Hey, what’s that supposed to mean!?” Ventus exclaimed!

 

                “Out…of my…way….” Jexana commanded! Maleficent still did not move!  Instead, she just walked forward, getting closer to Jexana.  Granted, Jexana was higher up in the air from Maleficent, but that didn’t seem to bother the evil fairy!  She simply raised her staff and forced Jexana down, surprising her in the process!

 

                “W-what!?  H-how!?” Jexana asked, confused!

 

                “Well, that is quite easy, my child!  Unlike you, I have real ambition!  As if I were to let you control all life that exists!  That is my goal, and mine alone!  I have been at this game for far longer than you have, and I have the experience, whereas all you have is your ignorance and childish wishes!  And so, for your stupidity, I will take you down!” Maleficent said!

 

                “You can try…but you’ll fail miserably!” Jexana shouted, as she took stance!  Pete enveloped himself in his energy marble, ready to roll, and Guardian Xehanort readied his claws, while Armored Eraqus gripped his Keyblade with both hands!  Maleficent spread her arms wide, and flames enveloped them in a circle, leaving the Keyblade Wielders out!

 

                “Huh?  What do you think you’re doing!?” Mickey exclaimed!

 

                “Doing you imbeciles a favor!  Now hurry and try to find some way to protect Kingdom Hearts, someway that Jexana will not be able to reach it!  Do it now while we hold her off!” Maleficent replied!  Mickey nodded.

 

                “Right…just don’t die, alright?” Mickey asked.  Maleficent scoffed.

 

                “Hah, as if you need to worry about me, little king!” the evil fairy replied!  She then turned her attention to Jexana, who’s eyes were aflame with fury!

                “You will pay for getting in my way!” she shouted, as she charged forward!  Maleficent simply blocked the attack with her staff, and then Pete went on the offensive and rolled forward, pushing Jexana back with his energy marble, making her trip in the process!  As she fell to the floor, Guardian Xehanort picked her up and grabbed her by the arms, and Armored Eraqus then delivered a powerful attack called Sono Arcanum, an attack somewhat similar to Ars Arcanum!  She received the full force of the attack and coughed out blood!  Maleficent was laughing in the meantime!

 

                “Ha, what a wretch you are, little girl!” Maleficent mocked!  Jexana gritted her teeth and then stunned everyone with a Stun Impact attack!

 

                “Don’t test me!” Jexana shouted, and then she recovered herself and proceeded to attack everyone!  She broke through Pete’s energy marble and was about to run him through with the X-Blade, but he was saved just in time, as Maleficent cast a fiery wall that prevented Jexana from going any further!

 

                “Whew, that was close!  Thanks for saving my skin, Maleficent!” Pete said! Jexana growled and then turned her attention to Maleficent!  But as she was about to attack her, Guardian Xehanort got in the way and punched her right in the stomach, sending her flying upward!  He then flew upward and slammed her down with a powerful dark blade, and then Armored Eraqus struck upward from below, cleaving Jexana directly, causing a giant gash to form from her abdomen to her right shoulder!  Jexana shouted in pain and crashed down to the ground!  Maleficent walked toward her and shook her head.

 

                “See what I mean, child?  No ambition at all…” the evil fairy said with a smirk.  Jexana growled and looked up at Maleficent, and she immediatel picked herself up, with X-Blade in hand, and counterattacked with a powerful shockwave that sent Maleficent and her companions back!

 

                “Don’t screw with me!!!” Jexana shouted, as she went beserk, constantly attacking Maleficent!  The evil fairy blocked all of her blows, but the effect of the attacks were apparent.  Even though she was blocking, she could still feel the power of the X-Blade doing her harm!  So she then cast a protective barrier of emerald flame, managing to distance herself from Jexana, and as Jexana leapt back to avoid the flames, Armored Eraqus went in for a Zantetsuken attack, causing another gash to form through Jexana’s body!  But her wounds quickly healed, and she then struck Armored Eraqus with the X-Blade, sending him reeling!  Some of his armor was chipped off as well!  Guardian Xehanort summoned forth discs of dark energy, and launched them, deciding to take a ranged approach to this battle!  Jexana blocked each dark energy disc, and then she dashed forward, grabbed Guardian Xehanort by his skull and rammed his head to the ground, bashing it repeatedly!  He quickly sank into shadow, though, and then he appeared behind Jexana and ran his claws through her!  She screamed of pain, but she quickly cut off Guardian Xehanort’s hand!  He growled in pain, but then, via darkness, his hand grew back!

 

                “This lady is far more crazy than I thought she’d be, Maleficent!  Are you sure it was smart picking a fight with her?” Pete asked, as he returned to the battle with what seemed to be two silver and black gauntles!

 

                “Do you dare question my authority, you insolent idiot!?” Maleficent asked as she glared at Pete! He quickly gulped and shook his hands dismissively!

 

                “Oh no, not at all Maleficent, I’m just asking, nothing more!  But I ain’t doubting your authority!  Anyway, I’m gonna test these babies out!” Pete replied, as he slammed his gauntless against each other, creating powerful electric sparks!  Jexana looked at Pete amused, and then Pete charged forward, and he used his powers to propell himself upward! This caught Jexana off guard, and before she knew it, she was the victim of a vicious body slam attack, courtesy of Pete!  His full body weight crashed on her body, and she was struggling to breath!

 

                “Get off of me, you stupid lummox!” Jexana exclaimed!  Pete just laughed it out, and then he took one of Jexana’s legs and pulled it upward tightly, performing what seemed to be a wrestling submission move!

 

                “That’s it, girly!  Bow down to the power of the mighty Pete!” Pete said confidently, as he locked his submission hold tightly, causing Jexana undeniable pain!  But eventually, she twisted herself to the point that her upper body was free enough, and then she was about to behead Pete!  But Pete blocked the attack with one of his gauntlets, and he quickly leapt back!

 

                “Oh ho, you’ve got some fire on you, eh?  Well, let’s see how long it takes for me to douse that fire!” Pete challenged, taunting Jexana!  She gripped the X-Blade tightly, and her eyes gleamed with anger!

 

                “Out of my way!!!!” she shouted!

 

                As the battle raged on in the circle of emerald flames, the Keyblade Wielders were trying to find a way to ensure that Jexana could not gain any sort of access to Kingdom Hearts!  They were all frantically thinking of an answer!

 

                “Think…we have to think of something!” Minnie exclaimed!

 

                “But what can we think up on such short notice!?” Donald squawked in distress!  At that, Alaya snapped her fingers, and everyone directed their gazes toward her!

 

                “I got it!” she said!  “The Keys Of Balance!  With their power, I think it could be just what we need! You see, with the Keys Of Balance, we can be able to create a powerful barrier!  Now, I cannot guarantee that it will not be indestructible, but at the very least, it shall hold Jexana at bay considerably, as we deliver the final blow to her!” she explained!

 

                “Well, it’s better that we try that instead of wasting time!  Are the three of you ready?” Vanitas asked to Kairi, Dawn and Kyle!  The three Keyblade Wielders nodded.

 

                “Yeah…we’re ready, for anything!” Kairi said, and she felt Sora put his hand on her shoulder, and when she glanced back, he smiled at her reassuringly.

 

                “Yes, let’s do this!” Dawn said, and she felt Riku’s hand holding hers, and she smiled at the warmth she felt!  She could also feel Kosaku’s hand on her shoulder.

 

                “Let’s put an end to this, once and for all!” Kyle said with determination!  Ventus and Trish looked at him with great pride.  They were proud of the man their son was becoming…it was something that made them feel very sentimental!  Raxon and Sky both nodded, showing their support!

 

                “Well mates, it’s time we put this plan of ours into action!” Raxon suggested.

 

                “Yes, before it’s too late, kupo!” Sky agreed.  Kairi, Dawn and Kyle nodded, and so the three of them stepped forward, and they summoned their Keys Of Balance, and then they pointed them toward the horizon, where the grassy fields lay!  It was now darker because of Jexana’s darkness, and thunder was starting to boom from the clouds!  At the far side of the grassy fields, they could catch a glimpse of Kingdom Hearts, radiating with a powerful light!  It looked like an orb, and it continued to shine on, despite the darkness that was enveloping this sacred place! The three Keyblade Wielders closed their eyes, and soon, their bodies started to harmonize in synch with their Keys, and their clothes and hair were flowing due to the powerful energy being poured out of the Keys!

 

                “How long will it take for this barrier to be put up?” Mickey asked.

 

                “I am afraid that it might take quite a bit of time…but with Maleficent and her cohorts taking care of Jexana, we should be able to have just enough time to do this!” Alaya answered.

 

                “Then let us hope that they buy us enough time!” Yen Sid said, as he looked towards the circle of emerald flames, and noticed how the flames waved violently!

 

                Inside the circle of emerald flames, Jexana was continuously growing in power, and now, it was starting to get hard for Maleficent and the others to keep up!  Pete was barely keeping up with Jexana’s relentless attacks, as she was now making fissures in the earth, causing a yellow aura to emanate that could cause fatal damage!  Pete knew this because this particular aura caught a bit of one of his gauntlets, and that part that was chipped off was done so quite effortlessly!  So he knew he had to dodge those yellow auras at all costs!

 

                “Is that all you got, lady?  You aren’t what I thought you’d be!” Pete taunted, as he punched the ground with his right gauntlet, causing a chain of boulders to form on the ground, heading towards Jexana like a heat seeking missile!  She quickly broke the boulder chain with just a simple swipe of the X-Blade!  Pete backed away a bit, and he started to panick on the inside!  “What the heck am I doing!?  At this rate, I’m going to get myself killed!” Pete thought to himself, as a drop of sweat rolled down his brow!

 

                “Stand aside, Pete!” Maleficent commanded, and Pete immediately got out of the way, allowing Maleficent to cast a powerful flame spell that enveloped Jexana’s whole body, burning her alive!

 

                “Gyahhhhh!!!!!  You little pest!!!!!!” Jexana shouted, as her body was being burnt to a crisp!  Armored Eraqus slammed the ground with his Keyblade and lifted forth a giant chunk of rock, and then he cast it aflame, and it resembled a meteor!  He launched it towards Jexana, while Guardian Xehanort launched a line of dark pillars that would end up enclosing Jexana, keeping her trapped as she burned and awaited the arrival of Eraqus’s meteor!

 

                “You cannot withstand our power, little girl!” Maleficent shouted out!  Jexana was being burned alive, but even so, her body only kept recovering!  She was suffering unbearable pain, but it was as if their attacks weren’t even making a dent on her!  Eventually, the flames consumed Jexana, and Eraqus’s meteor hit its mark, and Guardian Xehanort’s dark pillars crushed her!  Pete ensured the fatal blow with a powerful barrage of multiple punches from his gauntlets!  They all backed away, and this time, they knew that they had won!

 

                “You just don’t get it…do you!?” Jexana growled!  At that, even Maleficent was surprised!  They all saw how Jexana’s burnt and destroyed body began to reform itself, and what they noticed the most was how Jexana’s eyes glowed a demonic and angry yellow!  It was the sort of eyes that, believe it or not, sent chills down Maleficent’s spine!

 

                “What is this girl?  She defies all logic!  How is it that she does not die!?” Maleifcent thought, as she trembled ever so slightly!  But she quickly regained her composure and simply shook her head.

 

                “It seems you want more punishment, eh?  Then we shall be glad to deliver!” Maleficent declared!  Pete, who had been scared a few moments ago, regained a bit of couraged, and he readied himself and clenched his fists!

 

                “T-that’s right, we’ll deliver another round of pain to ya!” he replied! Armored Eraqus simply took stance with his Keyblade, and Guardian Xehanort seeped out darkness!

 

                “I will not die…I will certainly not die by the likes of you…I’ve had enough of you!” Jexana said, and then she turned around and attempted to go through the circle of emerald flames Maleficent had conjured up!  But when she tried to escape, the flames grew and became more violent, preventing Jexana from passing through!  Unless she was prepared to be slowed down severely by the power of the flames!  Jexana then turned around, and then she leapt up and summoned forth from the X-Blade powerful tornadoes, and then she merged them into one giant cyclone!  Maleficent and the others braced themselves, as they didn’t even have time to react!  But they were swept away by the cyclone, and they were rocked back and forth violently by the increasingly powerful winds!  Jexana simply raised the X-Blade up to launch them up, and then she lowered it, slamming them down to the ground!  They all landed with sickening thuds!

 

                “Getting in my way costs you your life. Either way, I won’t spare you when all this is over…” Jexana mentioned, as she again attempted to escape the flames!  But Maleficent slowly stood up, though she was much weaker now!

 

                “Hah, don’t make me laugh!  You will never attain true power, little girl!  All you will attain is a grave, and no one to remember you!” Maleficent replied, and it seemed that this particular comment made Jexana stop for a moment!  Maleficent wondered why, and Pete and the others, who had gotten to their feet, kept their guards up, just in case Jexana would suddenly do something instantaneous!  Soon enough, the ground started to shake, and everyone was being wobbled back and forth by the force of the earthquake!  And it turned out this earthquake was being caused by Jexana, as her anger was channeling through the X-Blade, causing the earthquake!

 

                “I will not be forgotten…” Jexana enunciated!  Maleficent now realized that she must have struck a nerve, and she decided to exploit that nerve!

 

                “Oh, and how can you be so sure?  You have caused nothing but senseless violence, and all you have done is pursue childish dreams.  You’ve never accomplished anything worthy of rememberance…hmph, I’d be surprised if you were remembered for anything at all!” Maleficent taunted.

 

                “Shut up….” Jexana growled.  Maleficent smirked and aimed to make Jexana tick even more!

 

                “Ah, so that’s it, isn’t it? Without your willpower, you are literally nothing!  Just an empty husk of a person!  How dreadfully pathetic!” Maleficent said as she laughed! 

 

                “I said shut up!!!!” Jexana shouted, bursting into uncontrollable rage!  With no other feeling but instinct, she ran the X-Blade through Maleficent…or at least that’s what she thought!  In reality, Armored Eraqus had gotten in the way just in time, but he received the painful blow instead!  It did not affect him all that much, though!  He glanced back to ensure Maleficent was safe, to which she nodded.  Jexana swung the X-Blade and looked at Maleficent and her comrades, and she shook her head.

 

                “You fools…you think you can keep me trapped here!?  Well, you’re wrong!” Jexana declared, as she then swung the X-Blade wide in giant circles, forming a giant cyclone that threatened to wisk away the flame circle Maleficent had conjured up!  At first, it was ineffective, but given a few seconds…it was starting to work!  Maleficent noticed this, and she looked at her comrades and nodded!

 

                “Now, anchor her down!” she commaned, and she was the first to launch a beam of fiery emerald flame, to which she tethered to Jexana’s body, restraining her from moving!  Armored Eraqus was next, as he launched forth a beam of light that resembled a chain, and he cast it over Jexana’s body, tying her up!  Next was Guardian Xehanort, as he used the darkness to conjure up dark chains that restrained Jexana all the more!  And finally, Pete added some sticky marbles that were quite difficult to shake off, and with that, they were successfully able to keep Jexana in place!  At least for now!  Maleficent then glanced to the others, and saw that they were charging up their Keys Of Balance!  She rolled her eyes and sighed.

 

                “After all this, you still haven’t charged up your powers?” Maleficent asked.  Alaya looked at her and shook her head.

 

                “It is not that simple, Maleficent!  But we are getting there!  Just a little more time is required, and Jexana will not be able to reach Kingdom Hearts!” Alaya explained.

 

                “That’s what you think!” Jexana shouted, and everyone looked to their right in alarm, and noticed that Jexana had broken free, and she had brought down the circle of emerald flames!  Maleficent and the others were caught off guard by this, and they saw how Jexana was about to attack Kairi, Dawn and Kyle directly!  But all the other Keyblade Wielders got in the way, protecting them from harm!  They were bruised badly, and the remaining Dandelions tried subduing her, but their efforts proved futile, as Jexana simply cut them down without any effort!  Kosaku and his comrades also tried to hold Jexana off as much as they could, and even though they were able to keep up with her, her power was just too much, especially with the X-Blade in hand!

 

                “Out of my way!!!!” Jexana shouted, plowing through the Dandelions!

 

                “This witch is crazy!” Raxon exclaimed, as he transformed his Keyblade into a rifle, and then he took aim at Jexana!  As he pulled the trigger, the shot went off, and just as it was about to hit her head, she blocked the bullet and then glared directly at Raxon!

 

                “Damn, she blocked it!” the pirate groaned!

 

                “We have to hold her off, kupo!” Sky said!

 

                “Oh, none of you will be holding anyone off!  I’ll make personal sure of that!” Jexana growled with intensity, and just as she was about to deliver a wide radius attack, she was struck from behind by Armored Eraqus, then clawed viciously by Guardian Xehanort, and then pumelled by Pete’s fists!  And finally, a powerful emerald Firaga spell hit Jexana hard, making her fall to the ground!  When she stood up, the evil fairy walked towards her and smirked.

 

                “Did I say we were finished?” she asked.  Just then, a sudden burst of energy was felt, and when everyone turned to look, they saw that Kairi, Dawn and Kyle had charged their Keys fully, and now, they were about to cast the barrier!  Jexana quickly abandoned her fight against Maleficent in order to thwart the three Chosen of the Keys Of Balance, but then she was restrained by more of Armored Eraqus’ chains of light!  She glanced back with fiery hatred in he reyes!

               

                “Let…me…go!!!” Jexana shouted!

 

                “Not going to happen…” Maleficent said, and she then spread her arms wide open, and powerful emerald flames emerged, and then, it seemed as though her cloak got bigger, almost as if it was casting a giant shadow!  Jexana was confused about this, and apparrently, so was Pete!

                “Uh, what are you doing, Maleficent?” Pete asked, scratching his head.  Maleficent then used her palm to push Pete away forcefully, making him fall alongside Mickey and the others!  Pete was baffled by this, and he quickly stood up and shook his head.  “Wha—what are you doing???  Maleficent, what’s up!?” he asked.  But then he noticed the grim look on her face, and he noticed that Armored Eraqus and Guardian Xehanort had gotten close to her…

 

                “Maleficent, I demand to know what you’re doing!” Pete asked in a harsh tone, which surprised everyone, including Maleficent herself!  She let a smile escape her lips, and her face seemed to have softened…

                “You have always been faithful to me, even though you’ve been an imbecile at times…but you don’t have to follow me to death’s door…” she answered.

 

                “Death’s…” Pete gulped, and then he shook his head.  “No, you don’t have to do this!  What about taking over the worlds after we’re done helping these nitwits!?” he asked.  At that point, Guardian Xehanort had seeped himself inside Jexana’s body, forcing her to stay put!  She tried to fight away the control, but Guardian Xehanort’s darkness was too strong for her!  Then, Armored Eraqus dismantled himself, and his armor immediately stuck onto Jexana, covering her instead!  His hollow consciousness was now in the armor, ensuring Jexana wouldn’t break free!  Maleficent remained with her arms wide open, and Kairi, who had managed to glance at what was happening, saw the events unfolding, and then she immediately put two and two together…

 

                “Wait…is she?  No, it can’t be!” she thought to herself, and then she remembered what Maleficent had said.  Armored Eraqus and Guardian Xehanort were alive because of Maleficent being connected to them via a powerful spell!  If she died, they’d die with her…and it seemed that was the case now…

 

                “No, don’t do it!” Kairi shouted, and everyone else was distressed, and they tried to interefere, but Maleficent increased the intensity of her flames, preventing anyone from getting to her!  Jexana was put, against her own will, and she was desperately trying to escape!

 

                “No…no more sacrifices!  Enough of this!  Too many of our friends have died today!  We can’t lose you too!” Mickey declared, furious and sad at the same time!

 

                “Please, there has to be another way without having to lose more lives!” Minnie pleaded!

 

                Everyone agreed, and they tried their best to convince Maleficent not to go through with this, but she only closed her eyes.  She seemed to have said something, but none of them were able to hear what she said!  Jexana shrieked and tried to break free, but Maleficent only smirked.

 

                “Now look what you’ve made me do, little girl!  Instead of ruling the worlds as I wished for so long, instead I die here with you…but, at least I’ll have comfort.  Comfort in bringing you down to the depths of hell!!!” Maleficent declared, and with that, she delivered her final maniacal laugh, before enveloping Jexana with her cloak, and then engulfing themselves in flames, while also creating a portal that was making them sink into the ground!  Everyone saw this unfold, and they couldn’t believe their eyes!

 

                “No, Maleficent!” Pete shouted!  He tried to go to her to help her escape, but the others held him, preventing him from reaching the fiery flames!

 

                “Pete, it’s no use!  She’s decided…her heart’s set on this…” Mickey said grimly.

 

                “She sacrificed herself, and so did Eraqus and Xehanort…they knew they’d die, and yet they sacrificed themselves anyway…” Sora mentioned, and all of them felt the heavy hit of loss wash over them again.  It was too much for them to bear!  Then, Kairi, Dawn and Kyle were finally able to cast the barrier, and as they did, it formed a giant wall that reached higher than the heavens and stretched throughout the entirety of the grassy fields, left and right!  When the barrier finished forming, chains of light strengthened themselves, and then turned invisible!  Now, no one could be able to reach Kingdom Hearts, and certainly not Jexana!  But they felt that this was all done for, for within a few seconds, Maleficent consumed Jexana completely, and they burst out in glorious flames, until they were snuffed out, and nothing was left but a giant, charred piece of land!  Everyone remained silent, and they couldn’t believe what had just happened!  Pete got on his knees and he shook his head.

 

                “No…this isn’t the Maleficent I know!  She wouldn’t die just like that…she wouldn’t!” Pete tried to reassure himself, even though he knew that she was gone…gone forever.  And with that, he started to cry.  “We were a team!  We were going to rule the worlds together!  Even though she was bossy and scary, she was still my friend!  And now, she’s dead!  And those two nitwits, even though they didn’t say much, they’d grown on me too!  And now they’re all gone…” Pete expressed, as tears rolled down his cheeks!  This is the first time that Mickey had seen Pete so vulnerable, and so the little king put his hand on Pete’s shoulder.

 

                “I’m truly sorry, Pete…even though Maleficent tried to destroy us, she decided to put aside our differences and help us for the greater good!  She sacrificed herself in the end, for all of us!  To ensure that no more sacrifices would have to be made!  Maleficent died a hero…” Mickey spoke, offering comfort to Pete.

 

                “That’s right…and now, thanks to her sacrifice, and the ones of Eraqus and Xehanort, Jexana won’t hurt anyone, anymore!” Minnie added!  Even though they spoke these words, everyone felt grim…

 

                “Guys…?” Kyle asked, as he seemed to feel something out of place!  Everyone looked to Kyle, and then they suddenly felt an uneasiness about them!  They couldn’t explain why, but something was definitely wrong!

 

                The ground started to shake, and the sky darkened even more!  But the Keyblade Wielders were confused!  Hadn’t Jexana already been killed?  Shouldn’t Kingdom Hearts get back to normal now?  But instead of everything going back to normal, the sky only became darker, and Kingdom Hearts was being enveloped in darkness!  The grassy fields were withering away, giving way to nothing but harsh wasteland!  The trees were dying, the waters were drying up…the mountains were crumbling…what was it all about?  What did this mean?  Had they failed, despite their best efforts?

 

                And then, a sudden eruption came from underground!  Giant chunks of earth flew upward to the sky and started falling around the barren ground, and from the crater formed on the ground, Jexana, to everyone’s shock, despair and surprise, rose up!  Her body was severely burnt and disfigured by Maleficent’s flames, and she was very, very angry!  She gripped the X-Blade in her hand, and she delivered one fell swoop, which created a powerful gust of wind that blew everyone away!  The Dandelions tried to get Jexana, but they were killed on the spot by simple swipes of the X-Blade!  The other remaining Dandelions fell back, and everyone tried to regroup!

 

                “S-she’s not dead!  She’s not dead!” Elina, one of the Dandelions, exclaimed!  Riku knew that things were going to get really bad.  He then turned to everyone, and looked at them.

 

                “There’s no time…we can’t all fight Jexana!  We need people on the outside in case things should turn into a worst case scenario here!  Kosaku and the Order Of The X-Blade, Alaya, Yen Sid, Pete, we need you to take the Dandelions and get out of here!  We need people on the outside world!” Riku commanded!

 

                “B-but what about all you nitwits?” Pete asked.

 

                “We’ll stay here and battle Jexana!  We can’t all stay here, or otherwise, who’ll protect the worlds if we die!?  Go outside, Lilith and her army are on the other side, and they’ll definitely appreciate the reinforcements!  We need you all to go outside, please!” Kairi said.  The others were a bit hesitant, but Yen Sid nodded.

 

                “Very well.  Riku, Kairi, you speak words of wisdom.  We shall ensure that the outside world is protected, in the case that you should fall.  But I know that shall not be the case!  Good luck!” Yen Sid said, and with that, he led the others, as they made their way  outside of Kingdom Hearts!  Kosaku embraced Dawn, holding her close and then kissed her forehead.

 

                “I love you, dear daughter.” Kosaku said.

 

                “I love you too, father!” Dawn replied!  They both nodded, and Kosaku turned to leave with his comrades!  The few remaining Dandelions followed behind, and Alaya was the last one to leave.  She glanced back and looked at the Keyblade Wielders.

 

                “Are you sure about this?” she asked.  They all nodded.

 

                “You said it!  Besides, if we die here, we need you all to do our jobs for us!” Donald answered!

 

                “That’s right!  We’ll do what we can from here!” Goofy assured!  Alaya clenched her fists, and shit bit her lower lip.  She was about to say something, but then simply gave a smile.

 

                “I know you will all make it out of this alive.  Be sure to return!” Alaya said.

 

                “We will!” Sora replied!  With that, Alaya took a few steps back, and then she turned to leave.  Mickey held Minnie’s hands, and urged her to leave as well.

 

                “Go on, Minnie!  You should go too!” he said.  But Minnie pouted and crossed her arms.

 

                “I will do no such thing!  I’ll stay here by your side, Mickey!  If this is how things will end, I want to stick by you, till the very end!” she replied sternly, but with a loving tone!  Mickey knew he couldn’t fight against Minnie’s wishes, and instead he smiled.

 

                “Alright Minnie, if that’s what you want.” he said.

 

                “It is!” Minnie reassured!

                And so Sora, Donald, Goofy, Kairi, Riku, Dawn, Vanitas, Mickey, Minnie, Ventus, Trish, Kyle, Raxon and Sky stood side by side, all of them at the ready!  They are what stood between Jexana and the destruction of the worlds, of the universes!  They weren’t going to go down without a fight!  Jexana gave out a menacing laugh, and her disfigured body started to heal itself with every step she took.

                “So, fourteen of you are going to attempt to take me down, eh?  Heh, none of your friends have been able to succeed, and you won’t either!  I will have my goals realized!” Jexana proclaimed, as her body was now renewed, and she stood firm, defiant and intimidating!

 

                “This stops here, Jexana!  We’re going to put a stop to you for good!  This ends now!” Ventus said.  Jexana didn’t seem to flinch at Ventus’ comments this time, but she did look at him.

 

                “Don’t worry, Ventus dear.  After I’m done with your imbecilic friends, we will finally have each other, once and for all…and it’ll be like it all was!  You’ll see!” Jexana said, with a smooth voice!

 

                “Not if I have anything to say about it!” Trish said through gritted teeth!

 

                “Yeah, you won’t win!” Kyle declared!

 

                “Hmph, then let’s put that to the test, shall we?” Jexana asked, and with that, she extended both of her arms, and all of a sudden, the grassy fields exploded in an incredible fashion, and every chunk of earth flew to disparate places, and all the Keyblade Wielders were caught off guard!  They tried to guard themselves as best they could from the blast, but they were eventually caught by the explosion!  When the explosion died down, they saw that the entire field they had been on was now fragmented, with chunks of earth floating in the sky, and giant boulders floating like asteroids! Endless streams of light flowed everywhere, and the sky was now dotted with stars, and above, the clouds were darkening the sky ever more!  Everything was distorted, all save for Kingdom Hearts, which remained protected in the distance by the barrier that Kairi, Dawn and Kyle had made!  But even with the barrier in place, Jexana’s powerful darkness was threatening to consume the heart of all worlds!  The Keyblade Wielders, all on different chunks and boulders, were far apart, but they could all see each other!

 

                Above, they saw Jexana, now adorned with a black and golden gown, with a giant, moon shaped crest behind her, X-Blade in hand!  Her eyes shined an eerie yellow, and she had a satisfied smirk!

 

                “Come and meet your end by my hand, Keyblade Wielders!”

Jexana refuses to die, even after Maleficent, Armored Eraqus and Guardian Xehanort sacrificed themselves to kill her!  Have all the sacrifices our heroes have made been in vain!?  Is there no end to Jexana’s evil!?  Will they be able to kill Jexana at all!?  The final battle has begun, and now, the fate of all worlds and universes rest on our heroes, as they make their final stand!  Be prepared for Chapter Forty Eight: “Owari-Part 8 Of 10: Doomsday…”

We're almost there...

Maleficent too? My, the heroes must stop the sacrifices. Too many have been happening. I wonder when the Child of Kingdom Hearts comes into play and regains the χ-blade again. I have a feeling that Jexana not just by the heroes' and the Child's hands will be defeated, but she will tear herself apart and allow her maniacal fear of being forgotten destroy her.

To KingdomHearts3, the sacrifices have been piling up, haven't they?  Such is the cost of war, my old friend!  But well, let's see what the remaining chapters reveal to us!

 

To Keyblade101, yeah, Jexana's quite the case, isn't she?  And indeed, all those lives, lost to the chaos of the war.  They shall be missed!

 

Hey there everyone, and good evening!  I hope that you’re all doing okay!  So then, we’re very, very close, ladies and gentlemen!  This chapter’s going to be intense, as the finale draws ever nearer!  Do our heroes have any hope of saving the worlds and the universes from Jexana’s crazed persona?  Or will their efforts have proved for nothing?  Find out for yourselves!

 

Chapter Forty Eight: Owari-Part 8 Of 10: Doomsday…

                For just a brief second, everyone felt a very heavy air of tension, as Jexana loomed over them, and now, she seemed as omnipotent as ever, and she was going to deliver some serious hurt their way!  But the Keyblade Wielders were ready.  Everything had led up to this!  There was no way that they were going to back down now, and if they were to fall here, then they’d do so by going down with a fight!  And then, it began!  Each of the Keyblade Wielders used the environment to their advantage, either tryign to get close to Jexana, or finding good spots to take cover when she lashes out!  Jexana didn’t even move from where she was, as all she was doing was sending forth gigantic golden pulsewaves that emanated from the palm of her left hand!  The pulsewaves turned giant chunks of earth into dust, and giant floating boulders into rubble!  It was clear that this pulsewave should be avoided at all costs!

 

                Vanitas jumped from boulder to boulder, trying to get close enough to deal damage!  As soon as he was within striking range, he dashed forward, and Jexana turned around and struck him!  But instead of writhing with pain, Vanitas remained static!  Jexana cursed under her breath and knew what this meant!

 

                “Too slow!” Vanitas commented, coming from above, slamming himself down towards Jexana, managing to strike her, forming a gash that ran down her back!  But just seconds later, her wound healed!  Vanitas couldn’t understand it!  “How is it that she keeps healing herself like this?  Every time that we take her down, she just comes back…how can we kill her off permanently?” Vanitas thought to himself, but was then cut short, for Jexana’s strikes demanded his attention!  As they both clashed, sparks emanated from their Keyblades!  Jexana then cast a dark version of Megaflare, and Vanitas was almost engulfed by the flames, when Minnie came and cast Reflega!

 

                “Don’t worry, I’ve got your back!” the little queen said, as she glanced at Vanitas with a smile! He nodded!

 

                “Right! Thanks for the save!” he replied, but then he grabbed Minnie and then used one of the floating boulders to propell himself away from Jexana, as she summoned forth a giant scythe of darkness out of thing air, and swung it in a wide arc!

 

                “We have to keep our distance from her!” Vanitas said.  “Think of how to take her down as we go!” he suggested!

 

                “Right!  Let’s keep at it!” Minnie said, and so, the two of them started casting spells to try to divert Jexana’s attention from the others!

 

                Mickey, in the meantime, was shattering as many boulders as he could, breaking them into small fragments!  Donald and Goofy helped as well, with Donald casting multiple Blizzaga spells that made shattering the boulders much easier!  Goofy hurled his shield and it ricocheted against quite a few of the boulders!  When enough were destroyed, Mickey landed on a floating piece of earth, and then Donald and Goofy followed!

 

                “We did it, your Majesty!  We broke those boulders!” Goofy said!

 

                “But, uh…what was the point of doing that?” Donald asked.  Mickey glanced at the two of them.

 

                “So you can cast your Firaga spell on these shattered pieces of rock, Donald!  We’re making them into tiny meteors!” the little king explained!

 

                “Ah, I get it!  Alright, let’s do this!” Donald said, and with that, he cast multiple Firaga spells, setting the countless rock shards aflame!  Once all of them were ignited, Mickey concentrated his energy and then fired off a focused beam of light that caused the rock shards to have heat seeking properties!  With a wave of his hand, he sent the shards straight towards Jexana!  Coupled with Vanitas and Minnie’s diversion, Mickey would have a clear shot!  But no sooner than the rock shards had come close to Jexana, she turned around, snapped her fingers, and caused a gravity vaccum that crushed the rock shards instantly!  She then sent a giant tornado towards Mickey, Donald and Goofy!

 

                “Mickey, looks like our strategy didn’t work!!!” Goofy exclaimed!

 

                “I can see that, Goofy!  Run!!!” Mickey shouted, as they all tried to escape the tornado, but couldn’t find a nearby boulder to jump onto!

 

                “Waaaak, we’re finished!!!” Donald squawked as he grabbed onto his hat, averting his eyes!  And just as they were about to be swept away by the grueling tornado, Sora came out of nowhere and whisked them away just in time!  When Donald opened his eyes, he noticed that he was on Sora’s back, while Mickey and Goofy were behind them!  He saw Sora sliding on the streams of light!

 

                “I got you guys!” Sora reassured, and Donald sighed of relief!

 

                “Thanks Sora!  How did you know you could get on these streams of light?” he asked.

 

                “Because I remembered that in the Realm Of Sleep, I could be able to slide along some surfaces and energy based surfaces as well!  I looked at these streams of light, and they looked similar!” Sora explained.

 

                “Wow, did you know it would work?” Donald asked.

 

                “Nope, just followed my gut!” Sora answered.

 

                “Well that figures…” Donald replied.

 

                “Hey, what’s that supposed to mean!?” Sora exclaimed!

 

                “Guys, in front of us!” Goofy shouted, and when they looked forward, they saw a giant rock pillar in their way!  Sora immediately struck through the pillar, slicing it effortlessly, thus providing safe passage through the streams of light!

 

                “We gotta find a way to stop Jexana!  She’s invincible!  How can we hope to defeat her?” Mickey asked.

                “I don’t know…but we’ll see what we can do!” Sora answered, as they jumped on a separate stream of light, heading towards where Jexana was!  Soon enough, they reached Kairi, who had gathered many boulders together and linked them up, forming a stable platform where she and the others could come to!  She was shooting forth powerful beams of light, and had summoned forth lightning birds that made their way to Jexana!  But even with this lightning birds, they were proving to do nothing, as Jexana simply absorbed the energy of the lightning and amplified her own powers!  Kairi then performed Strike Raid, but Jexana deflected the attack!  Sora, Mickey, Donald and Goofy reached her, and they all propelled themselves straight towards Jexana!  She was smirking as they tried fighting her!

 

                “Your battle is pointless, Keyblade Wielders…your struggles are for nothing, and will always be for nothing!” Jexana shouted, as she blocked two incoming attacks from Sora and Kairi, swiping them away with one blow, making them crash against a cluster of chunks of earth!  Mickey, Donald and Goofy performed a Trinity Ray attack, firing a focused beam of energy emanating from each other, but that wasn’t effective either, as Jexana simply absorbed the attack and fired it back at them, causing them to be blown away!

 

                “You will all die here!!!” Jexana shouted, as she then levitated upward, and she lifted both her arms, causing the gravity surrounding her to distort greatly!  Everyone was now as stiff as logs, and they couldn’t support the weight of their bodies, and the environment around them was distorting, until it meshed and formed a giant, floating platform that contained concentrated light energy!  The platform resembled a giant pathway leading towards a gate, and it was wide enough for all the Keyblade Wielders to land on!  But they didn’t land…they were pressed onto the floor and were being crushed by the powerful, increased gravity Jexana had brought about!  They all struggled to stand, but were being forced down every time they managed to stand up!

 

                “I have waited too long for this…I have spent too much time preparing for this…I’ve sacrificed too much to let my plans be foiled by the likes of you!” Jexana said, as she closed her hands into fists, therefore causing the gravity distortion to increase even more, threatening to end the Keyblade Wielders lives in one fell swoop!

 

                “N-now!” Dawn shouted, as she used her Key Of Balance to Dispel the gravity distortion, allowing everyone to stand!  Minnie cast Curaga, which healed everyone, and then they all charged towards Jexana with full force!

 

                Riku and Dawn led the charge, and they both enveloped themselves in powerful energy barriers, and they slashed through Jexana, performing a double Zantetsuken attack!  This managed to distract Jexana, as she turned her attention to them, and Riku fired a volley of dark spheres, while Dawn had sprung numerous Mine Square spells under Jexana, causing the spells to explode, stunning Jexana!  Riku then went in with a Dark Aura attack, slashing Jexana at every turn!  When he leapt up to deliver the final blow, Dawn dashed towards him and helped amplify his attack by casting a blanketing beam of light that channeled through Riku’s darkness, creating a powerful, silver flame that burst on impact!  They jumped out of the way as soon as the attack hit, and when the smoke cleared, Jexana was still standing, albeit greatly injured!  That’s when Raxon took his chance and fired a few sets of bombs he had at his disposal, and then shot them with his rifle, causing them to explode at Jexana’s feet, making her unable to react fast enough!  Sky cast Stopza, putting a stop to her actions, and providing Ventus, Trish and Kyle with an opening!

 

                “We strike now!!!” Ventus shouted, and he, Trish and Kyle quickly stood side by side, and then they organized themselves and formed the shape of a triangle!  From this attack form, they were able to summon forth a wind dragon, and as it came out from their combined energies, it flapped its wings, causing gigantic gusts of wind to blow!  It charged up its energy, and it fired forth a brutal shot of air that would suffocate anyone!  As the dragon attacked, Ventus delivered a powerful Cyclone attack, followed by a Fatal Blitz attack by Trish, and then finishing off with a Slapshot from Kyle!  When they all backed away, the Stopza spell wore off, and they saw how Jexana’s body was being bruised, battered and slashed, an effect of all their combined attacks!  She screamed in agony, and yet, even with all these attacks, she did not die, she didn’t even exhaust herself!  Once the attacks had finished, her wounds healed immediately, and then she turned her head to the Keyblade Wielders, and she had a smirk on her face.  Before doing anything, she pushed Ventus far away with a powerful wave of her hand, sending him flying for miles!

 

                “Dad!!!” Kyle shouted!  But before he could go to reach for him, Jexana already had the X-Blade at his throat!

 

                “Not so fast, Kyle…” Jexana uttered.  The other Keyblade Wielders, surprised that she had disappeared and reappeared so suddenly right by Kyle, were frozen momentarily, as uncertainty overtook them!  Jexana smirked.

 

                “My turn…” she said, and with that, she spun once and then pushed everyone away with a powerful shockwave. She then stabbed the X-Blade into the ground, and with both of her arms, she raised gigantic rock spikes from the earth, and she sprung them upwards until they were as high as pillars!  She then summoned forth dark energy and used it to cover above her, so that none of the Keyblade Wielders could be able to escape by scaling up the pillars!  She then picked up the X-Blade, and then she dashed towards Sora and Kairi, and their Keyblades clashed, and the two of them were barely keeping up with Jexana, as she was pushing them back!  She then forcibly overtook them, and she proceeded to deliver a fatal attack, Wind Arcana!  She shot forth numerous wind blades, and with each blade that hit, an attack with her X-Blade followed, and it seemed as though the attack was endless!  When the final wind blade broke, she cut through it and delivered a powerful slash that sent dark energy out, pushing through Sora and Kairi, wounding them greatly and sending them crashing towards the pillars!

 

                “Sora, Kairi!!!” Mickey shouted, as he, Donald and Goofy tried to head towards them!  Jexana simply disappeared then reappeared right in front of Goofy, slashing him with the X-Blade!  Goofy barely blocked the attack, but as a result, he was instead catapulted to one of the pillars, his shield broken by the force of Jexana’s attack!  She then felt a tingle behind her.  When she turned around, she noticed a panicked Donald flinging as many spells as he could at her!  She crushed all Blizzaga crystals that went her way, remained unflinching when struck with Thundaga, and seemed to have no reaction to Donald’s spells!

 

                “Hmm, I’m in the mood for roast duck!” Jexana commented as she had seen Donald cast Firaga!  She stopped the spell with one hand, held the Firaga ball in it, and then fired it back at an unlucky Donald, who was set aflame, his feathers now black from the fire that was burning him!  He quickly managed to douse himself, but was quickly kicked in the stomach by Jexana, sending him crashing towards the roof of dark energy, then plummeting down to the ground!

 

                She then dashed towards Mickey, but the little king was able to stand his ground against Jexana considerably!  They clashed and darted and seemed like dots, zigzagging here and there at blinding speeds!  They were evenly matched, and then they reached a stalemate!  They remained in the stalemate and stared each other down!

 

                “You won’t win, Jexana!  We will stop you, somehow!” Mickey said courageously!  Jexana smirked.

 

                “Try as much as you like.  It won’t amount to anything!” Jexana said, as she broke the stalemate and then slashed Mickey across the chest!  Except that this wasn’t the case!  At just the last second, Minnie had gotten in the way and cast a Protect spell that lessened the blow of Jexana’s attack, but sent both of them flying, tumbling on the ground, getting battered and bruised along the way!

 

                “Hmph, fools.” Jexana said.

 

                “Enough!!!” Raxon shouted, as he quickly attempted to get Jexana from behind!  She quickly dodged his attack, and every time he’d try to sink his hook in her chest, she’d simply dodge, which made him agry!

 

                “Watch it, little pirate.  You could poke your eye out with that thing!” she teased!

 

                “Shut up!” Raxon shouted, as he delivered a sudden flare shot that blinded Jexana momentarily and caught her off guard!

 

                “What!?” she exclaimed!

 

                “Sky, now!” the pirate yelled!

 

                “On it, kupo!” Sky replied, and with that, Raxon planted five bombs around Jexana, and then, Sky cast a Tornado spell that swept Jexana off her feet!  And with the bombs now swirling in the tornado, they exploded seconds later, making the Tornado unstable!  It went to the point that Jexana’s body flew out of the tornado and crashed into the ground hard!

 

                “Hurry, let’s take care of her before she gets up, kupo!” Sky shouted!

 

                “Right, come on!” Raxon agreed, and they both ran towards where Jexana had landed! Except that when they arrived, they saw that she wasn’t there anymore!

 

                “No…” Raxon muttered, and when he turned around, he was facepalmed hard by Jexana, and then she flung his face to the ground and bashed him against it repeatedly, and she was enjoying herself very much!  Then, she was about to run Raxon through with the X-Blade, but Sky immediately flew and got in the way!

 

                “Get away from him, you witch!” the little moogle shouted, as he repelled Jexana’s attack and sent her tumbling!  She stood up and wiped off some dirt from her face, and then she disappeared and reappeared behind Sky, enveloping him in a sphere of darkness!  He was now trapped!

 

                “Sky, no!!!” Raxon shouted weakly, as he tried to stand up, but couldn’t!

 

                “You will all die…” Jexana said.  “You will no longer stand in my way…”

 

                “Enough!!!” Riku shouted, as he and Dawn delivered forth a combined attack in which a powerful surge of darkness combined itself with giant waves of light that Dawn had summoned!  Together, they formed a powerful attack that threatened to surround Jexana!  But all she had to do was stand and place the X-Blade forward, and she absorbed the entire attack!  Riku and Dawn stopped dead in their tracks, shocked!

 

                “Impossible!” Dawn exclaimed!

 

                “Dawn!!!” Riku shouted, as he held Dawn close and turned around!  When Dawn noticed what happened, she saw that Riku had been run through with the X-Blade!  And even though he had attempted to shield Dawn, the X-Blade managed to reach her two, and both of them had been stabbed through the stomach!

 

                “N-no!” Riku shouted!  Jexana, unamused, flicked them away and sent them flying towards the pillars, making them crash against them as they fell to the ground, bleeding!

 

                “Jexana!!!!” Trish shouted, with fiery anger in her eyes!  She ran towards her, and the two clashed violently, sparks of light and darkness reverberating throughout their surroundings!  With each clash, the ground shook violently, and small chunks of rock were being sprung out!

 

                “You will die here, Jexana!  You won’t threaten our lives anymore!” Trish declared, as she imbued her Keyblade with Thundaga, causing sparks that definitely made Jexana back off a little!  But even so, Jexana was just smiling!

 

                “Aw, you’re just jealous, you’re just seething with anger because Ventus pleasured me…oh yes, how he pleasured me!  He has such an unforgettable taste!  Mmm, just the thought of him all over me just makes me have goosebumps!” Jexana taunted!

 

                “Shut up!!!!” Trish roared, as he reyes flared up even more!  Her attacks now packed much more strength and ferocity to them, and she even managed to slash Jexana’s chest and abdomen quite a few times!

 

                “Hmph, I’ll give you credit…you’ve lasted more than the others here have…your anger, your fire, that’s what drives you!  And well, the fact that Ventus made love to me…heh, I know it drives you insane!” Jexana laughed!

 

                “Shut up, damn it!” Dawn exclaimed, as she then summoned forth a circle of light behind her and then fired off five whipes of light that tied themselves around Jexana’s arms, legs and neck!  She was momentarily restrained, and then she was electrocuted by Trish’s concentrated Thundaga spells!  The spells injured her greatly, and even made her body bruise badly!

 

                “Die…die…die already!!!” Trish shouted, sobbing as she did so!  Jexana was only laughing the entire time!  She then broke free of Trish’s restraints, and then she disappeared then reappeared behind Trish, and was about to strike her down!

 

                “This is where you die…” Jexana whispered to her ear.

 

                “No!!!” Kyle shouted, as he got in the way and prevented Jexana from killing Trish!  He then repelled her, pushing her back and then striking forth with his Key Of Balance!  He shot forth a powerful streams of Dark Light, which burned through Jexana’s skin!  That, coupled with the concentrated Thundaga spells Trish had dealt out, and Jexana was seriously injured!  But again…she healed quickly!

 

                “N-no…this can’t be!” Kyle stuttered!  Jexana simply shrugged.

 

                “Think of it what you will. But there is no denying that your fate has already been sealed.  All of you are just  prolonging the inevitable!” Jexana said, and then she crushed Trish and Kyle with a giant chunk of stone that she summoned forth from thin air!  It crushed them, and they were screaming in pain!  She then cast a concentrated Firaga Burst spell, but it turned out that it was charging for a Dark Megaflare attack!  She looked at all her opponents, as they lay on the ground, weak and battered!  Vanitas, who struggled to stand up, managed to make her way towards Jexana!  As he got closer to her, he started to run, until he attempted a Sliding Dash attack, but was cut short by a brutal punch from Jexana right to the face, making Vanitas fall down hard to the ground!  Jexana looked at the Dark Megaflare spell charging up, and she smirked contently, and then she started to walk towards the opposite side of the prison she had created for her opponents!

 

                “Enjoy what little moments you have left.  Have comfort with each other before you die.  Heh, that is, if there is any comfort in being burned to ashes!” Jexana commented, as she laughed mockingly at the Keyblade Wielders and then vanished, leaving them to their fate!

 

                On the outside, things were getting bad!  While Jexana’s troops were finally no more, the Heartless and Unborn still remained, and their numbers began multiplying by the thousands!  No doubt because of the powerful darkness that Jexana was emanating from inside Kingdom Hearts!  Lilith and her Knights of Ygdrassil were battling the hordes of foes, and they kept close as they did so, making sure not to break their line of defense!  One of the knights glanced at Lilith as he struck down a Large Body with his axe!

 

                “Lilith, their numbers, they’ve multiplied!  Will we be able to hold them off for long?” he asked.  Lilith slew  four Invisibles and then glanced back at the knight speaking to her.

 

                “We hold as long as we’re able!  Kairi and the others are inside there, fighting against that wicked woman who commanded the enemy army!  Until they’ve come out, we keep fighting!” Lilith answered.  The knight nodded.

 

                “As you wish, ma’am!  Come on men, charge!!!” the knight shouted, as he led a batalliion of heavily armored knights towards a cluster of Unborn giants that were heading their way!

 

                As Lilith swept through the battlefield, she took out countless Heartless and Unborn on her own!  She would deliver fast and precise strikes and then cast explosive spells, and then she’d continue her chain of attack with a strong, downward strike that caused the ground to shake, making the Heartless and Unborn tumble and fall on their backs!  Lilith then cast a Ground Thundaga spell, and the spell took a wide radius and electrocuted all enemies in her vicinity!  She was a storm in the battlefield!  But just as she was dealing with the Heartless, a few Bandits were about to strike her down!  It wasn’t until they were mere inches away from her that she noticed them!  She wasn’t going to be able to dodge their attacks in time!  She prepared for the full force of their attacks, but instead saw that they withered away before her eyes!

 

                “It looks like you could use some assistance!” Alaya mentioned.  Lilith shrugged.

 

                “Well…I had everything under control, but I do appreciate the helping hand!” she answered.  Alaya nodded.

 

                “Indeed!” she said, and then signaled the others.  “Bring on the storm!” she shouted!

 

                And in just mere seconds, Yen Sid unleashed a powerful Tsunami, one that was overflowing with mighty power!  The ferocity and viciousness of the waves was apparent, as when they reached the enemy, they were swept away instantly!  Even the toughtest and biggest of the Heartless and Unborn were nothing against the might of Yen Sid’s magic!  As soon as the Tsunami spell blanketed the battlefield and then subsided, Yen Sid swiped his Keyblade three times, and in those three times, he sent out powerful, electric shockwaves that made several of the nearby mountains collapse, making the falling chunks of rock fall on the helpless Heartless and Unborn!

 

                Elina and Matthew led forth their Dandelion brothers and sisters in arms, and they pushed through the hordes of foes!  They were now limited in number, and even though they were strong as one, they were still being picked off slowly but steadily!  It was then that Elina knew she had to do all in her power to ensure that the few surviving Dandelions could be able to finish this battle with their lives intact!  They stormed through, like an arrow piercing through the strongest gusts of wind!  They paved a path with their Blazing Sword attacks, leaving trails of marvelous flame behind them!  Many of the Dandelions also performed the Blade Of Seven attack, which helped clear the battlefield considerably! They also fired off a volley of multiple spells!  They were determined to see this through to the end!

 

                Pete was also doing his part too!  He was storming through the battlefield, and any enemy that lay in his way was obliterated!  He was definitely angry, and he was lashing out at all the enemies that were coming at him!  He punched and kicked and body slammed them multiple times, and he threw differently colored marbles that represented different elements!  One of the marbles caused an explosion chain effect that ran through the battlefield like a snake!  Another marble create multiple ice pillars that crushed the opposition when they tried getting too close!  And yet anothe marble created a thunder barrier around Pete, and he charged forward, and with each step he took, Heartless and Unborn that attempted to do him harm were pulverized!

 

                “That’s right bozos, don’t you dare mess with me!  This is for Maleficent!!!” he shouted, as he punched a Shadow into the ground!

 

                Kosaku and his comrades also blazed through, and they were taking out the enemy with quick and efficient proficiency!  They specialized in dealing heavy attacks mixed in with faster paced attacks so that their defenses wouldn’t be broken!  They also provided ranged support, as they shot down any enemies that tried to flank the Dandelions that were just a few feet away from them!  Kosaku himself swung his Keyblade wide, and he performed Sonic Blade, delivering a heavier thrust with each successful hit, until he eventually finished with a powerful thrust that cracked the ground and caused a fissure, which made countless Heartless and Unborn fall and tumble down to their deaths!  The Keyblade Graveyard was awash with chaos, and the Keyblades that were stabbed into the ground were vibrating, pulsating from the energies and chaos of the current battle at hand!

 

                “Charge one, charge all!  Do not give the enemy time to break our defenses!  Push forward!” Alaya commanded, as they all fought as one unit, pushing the Heartless and Unborn back little by little, away from the gate to Kingdom Hearts!  “We will win this war yet!” she encouraged!

 

                “That’s right, and afterwards, we can go back home!” Lilith declared, and her knights gave her a triumphant battle cry!  The fiery determination to win was embedded in their hearts, and they knew that they weren’t just fighting for their survival, but for the survival of all worlds, of all universes!  Everything was at stake here!

 

                And as the chaos ensued, the worlds were deteriorating!  The universes were out of balance, and black holes were forming everywhere!  Countless worlds were being sucked into the void, and the ones that managed to survive were being ravaged by darkness!  This darkness could be felt everywhere! On Alaya’s temple, the survivors from some of the worlds were looking onward, seeing the destruction unfold.  They thought how blessed they were that they were safe from this destruction, but despaired for all those who hadn’t been able to escape their worlds…all those lives, doomed to the darkness.  Cid, Leon and the others looked onward.  They had wanted to assist in the battle, but they knew they had to watch over the survivors they had managed to rescue from some of the worlds that were being destroyed!  All they could do was witness the horror of it all…the end of everything…

                Back inside Kingdom Hearts, Ventus was slowly standing up.  He was quite dizzy, and he was having a bit of trouble getting to his feet!  When he was finally able to get up, he remembered that Jexana had pushed him all the way out here!  He saw all around him, and saw that the land was continuing to decay!  This was worrying him, and he saw how the emptiness, the surrealness of the landscape was shifting.  The streams of light were slightly distorting, the stars were dimming out, and the floating chunks of rock that flowed by were vanishing!  Kingdom Hearts was fading away!  He looked towards Kingdom Hearts itself, and noticed that its light shined brightly still!  But the brighter its light was, the shadow behind it grew ever more, and was slowly enveloping it!

 

                “There isn’t much time…if we don’t stop Jexana now, Kingdom Hearts will be destroyed, then who knows what’s going to happen…?” Ventus thought to himself, and then he groaned in pain, rubbing his rib.  “I…I have to get to the others. Fast!” he thought, and as he was about to take a step, Jexana appeared before him, smiling.  He quickly frowned and summoned his Keyblade!

 

                “Jexana…” he growled, but Jexana shook her head.

 

                “Calm down, Ventus.  Everything’s going to be alright.  Your pesky friends will soon finally cease to exist, and with them out of the way, I can finally be able to enact the rest of my plan, so that my goal…my dream can finally be realized!” she explained.  Ventus shook his head, sick of hearing her say the same thing!

 

                “Would you stop that already!?  When will you get it through your thick skull that I don’t feel anything for you!?  I’m never going to be with you!  My heart belongs to Trish, and no one else!” Ventus shouted, trying to make his point!

 

                “You see, that’s the thing!  You’re misguided!  All these years with your friends, all these years battling the darkness, you’ve forgotten the most important of things…the way I feel about you…but I forgive you.  I’ve always loved you, and I always will, and nothing will change that!” Jexana replied.

 

                “Jexana, do you even hear yourself?  You sound so convinced…you sound so sure about all this…how can you be so sure about these feelings?” Ventus asked, bewildered.

 

                “Because…I’ve gone through way too much…through too much suffering and pain and hardship…but through all my grim days, my love for you, the thought of being with you is what’s kept me going!  Even when I thought I’d never see you again, I’d always have you in my mind!  You’ve kept me alive all this time…you’ve been my driving force…Ventus…I love you!” Jexana said!  Ventus was baffled, and it wasn’t because Jexana kept having this feeling, but it was the way she said it!  She sounded so sure, and looked so innocent when she said those words!  He was confused!

 

                “Do I…know you?” he asked.  At that, Jexana seemed to have gone silent for a moment before she gave a slight nod.

 

                “You’ve always known me, Ventus…I know that you remember…I know that you haven’t forgotten me…” she answered softly.  Then, it dawned at Ventus!  Realization awashed over him!

 

                “Wait…you’re…” he began to say, as he looked at Jexana, whom nodded again.

 

                “Yes…now do you understand?  Do you finally understand why I’m doing all of this?” she asked, now seeming harmless!  But Ventus backed away a bit, and he gripped his Keyblade tightly!  Jexana sighed and seemed dissapointed.

 

                “I can’t put you under my control anymore, but I can tell you how I feel…like I’ve always done! Ventus, I love you…why can’t you understand that?” she asked!

 

                “No…Jexana, you know that I love Trish!  My heart belongs to her!  She’s my wife, she’s a part of me!” Ventus answered!

 

                “And I’m not?” Jexana questioned.  Ventus simply looked down and clenched his fists.

 

                “You were my love at one point…and I think there’ll always be a part of my heart that has that feeling for you…but for right now, I can’t share your sentiment, Jexana!  I just can’t!  Listen to me!  Stop doing this!  You can be able to put a stop to this, and the worlds can be saved, and there won’t be any need for any destruction!  We can be able to stand together, as friends!  This doesn’t have to end with more bloodshed!” Ventus said, trying to see if he could convince Jexana to put a stop to this!

 

                “Really…?  Even after everything I’ve done…even after all the friends I’ve taken from you…all the people I’ve killed, and all the horrible things I’ve done…you’d be willing to have me in your life?” Jexana asked.  Ventus remained silent for a moment.

 

                “Jexana…the things you’ve done are unforgivable…you’ve destroyed worlds…destroyed lives…you’ve done horrible things, that’s true…but if you would be willing to put that all behind you, if you’d be willing to start over…I would forgive you!  We could be friends!  There’d be no need for any more suffering!” Ventus reassured.  And at one moment, it seemed to be that Ventus’ words were resonating with Jexana!  She seemed to have a sudden sense of realization!  She looked at Ventus, but then she looked away.  She then looked at him again and shook her head.

 

                “I’m sorry…but that won’t do.” she answered firmly.  Ventus saddened, and he felt a heavyness all of a sudden.

 

                “Then you leave me with no choice, Jexana…I have to stop you, at any cost!” Ventus said, raising up his Keyblade.  Jexana looked down to the ground, and she cried softly.  Ventus didn’t like this, but he knew that if he said anything else, he’d make the situation worse!

 

                “All I want…is for things to be the way they were before…I need all those years I lost back…” Jexana said, tears rolling down her cheeks, her face looking vulnerable and weak!

 

                “Life is ever changing, Jexana…things are never the same.  Today, we live in chaos, tomorrow, we could possibly live in nothingness, but its the things that we do, the choices that we make, that define who we can be.  We don’t have to let the darkness get the best of us.  We have to try to be the best of what we can be!  Even when there’s no other road, even when the darkness is swallowing you whole, there’s still a chance to do the right thing.  You know this.” Ventus said.  Jexana remained silent for a few moments, and her face seemed to have darkened!  Ventus prepared himself for what was to come.  Jexana held the X-Blade, and she then looked at Ventus with piercing eyes, now devoid of tears!

 

                “Then, you die…”

Good evening everyone, I hope that you’re all doing okay!  So then, this is it!  We’re just one chapter away from ending a five year long journey!  The feels are escalating, and I feel so proud of all that I’ve accomplished with this awesome trilogy I’ve written up!  I’m so thankful to each and every one of you for your support during all these years!  Your support is what’s allowed me to keep on writing!  Anywyas, I’ll save the emotional chitchat for when I really end the story!  Until then, enjoy this chapter, everyone!

 

Chapter Forty Nine: Owari-Part 9 Of 10: What Could Have Been…

                Jexana now seemed different!  She didn’t have that confident look that had been plastered on her face this whole time!  No, her expression changed drastically!  She now looked tired.  She looked roughed up, almost as if she had gone cold…she had steely eyes and a grim expression, and Ventus knew that from here on out, things would get only more difficult!  As Jexana charged towards him and delivered the first blows, Ventus managed to block them, but he was blown away by the sheer force with which Jexana pushed him back!  He was now floating, as he had no stable ground to stand on!  He then hovered down to one of the many streams of light that were all over the place, and he slid along it, and began firing multiple Firaga spells!  Jexana blocked them all, disappeared, and then reappeared behind Ventus, almost managing to behead him!  He was lucky that he glanced back, or otherwise, he would’ve met his demise then and there!  He backflipped and was now floating again!

 

                “I can’t fight like this…I’m going to lose concentration!  I need to think of something!” Ventus thought to himself.  Then, he thought of something!  He concentrated his energies for a moment, and then he unleashed a powerful Stun Impact attack that shattered some nearby boulders into pieces!  He then used Graviga and Magnega, combined the effects of the spells, and created a large platform with the shattered pieces of the boulders he had destroyed!  He was now standing on stable ground, and then, he placed multiple Mine Square and Mine Shield spells around him, hoping this would buy him enough time in order to try to catch Jexana off guard!  But all she had to do was swing the X-Blade once, and she dispelled Ven’s Mine spells, and then she quickly dashed towards him, and Ventus had no choice but to try to keep up with her relentless attacks, which caused ripples that resonated all around them!

 

                “I’ve had enough of this…if you won’t be mine…then I’ll just have to end you!” she spoke grimly, as she and Ventus reached a stalemate!  Ventus tried to hold on as much as he could, and he looked into Jexana’s eyes, and he honestly felt pained by what was happening!

 

                “Jexana…this doesn’t have to end like this!  This conflict, this chaos, it’s unnecesary!  You can put a stop to this before it’s too late!” Ventus pleaded, trying to make Jexana listen to reason!

 

                “It’s already too late…I’ve come this far…I might as well destroy the worlds…once my task is done, the worlds will be in a state of rebirth…they’ll take shape, and new life shall spring!  Kingdom Hearts shall see to that!” she stated, as they traded blows!

 

                “But you’ll be destroying countless lives!  Isn’t that something that weighs on your heart, on your very soul!?” Ventus exclaimed, as he pushed Jexana back with a spin attack!  She staggered momentarily, but quickly recovered, just as Ventus had shot some Blizzaga crystals her way!

 

                “My mind’s already made up!  I’ve waited too long for this, and I won’t let you stop me now, Ventus!” she replied, defiant!  Ventus shook his head in disbelief, and the two continued to clash, even in strength!  But it was only a matter of time before Jexana drew a sigil out of thin air, which reproduced her own version of the Ragnarok attack!  Instead of red beams, they were a silver color!  Ventus quickly tried to back away as best as he could, managing to block some of the beams, but dodging the others!  When the last beams didn’t reach him, Jexana thrusted forward and created a giant sigial which summoned forth a circle of flame!  It was a fiery scarlet, and Jexana looked at Ventus from the other side.

 

                “A little trick I learned from your dead fairy friend…” she replied.  But Ventus mustered all the strength he could, and with one powerful sweep, he dissolved the fire, snuffing it out, catching Jexana off guard momentarily!

 

                “Jexana!!!!” he shouted, but then was pushed back forcefully by just a light hit from her palm, which sent him flying across the expanse of Kingdom Hearts!  He crashed through some boulders, and then he landed on a small chunk of earth!  He landed with quite a thud, and he held his sides, for they hurt badly!  As he stood up, he noticed Jexana, far in the distance, charging up a powerful attack!  Ventusu was thinking what he could do next, and as he looked around, he tried to find something that could help him in this situation!  But then, something else caught his eye!  What looked to be some sort of closed space, many rock pillars clustered together!  It took him a few seconds to realice that his friends were all trapped in there!

 

                “No!  I have to save them!” Ventus exclaimed, and he quickly attempted to break through the pillars, but Jexana appeared right in front of him and slashed him wide across his upper body with the X-Blade, forming a gash that wasn’t too deep, but was way too close for comfort!

 

                “Not so fast!” she shouted, sending Ventus plumetting downards, as his body passed through the streams of light, and then he landed on what seemed to be…nothing!  He was literally standing on air!  He looked up and clenched his fists and gritted his teeth!  Jexana was hovering above him, heading down towards him!

 

                “I don’t have time for this!  I need to save my friends before its too late!” Ventus said to himself, and then he propelled himself upwards!  The wound that Jexana had inflicted upon him stung him badly, and he winced as he dashed through the air, but he tried to ignore the pain as best as he could!  But just as he was about to pierce through Jexana, she simply grabbed him by the throat hard, tightening her grip on him, making him choke!

 

                “I won’t have you getting distracted.  Your battle is with me…you won’t be saving your friends.  Their fate has already been sealed…” she stated.

 

                “Y-yeah?  We’ll just…see about…that!” Ventus said, as he struggled to speak, Jexana’s grip getting tighter!  But Ventus swung his Keyblade upward, and suddenly, five orbs of light appeared!  Jexana being distracted, the orbs instantly went towards her, and upon impact, a small explosion took place, and Jexana was forced to let go of Ventus!  He quickly backed away and tried to get as much distance as he could from Jexana!  Afterward, he immediately headed over to his friends, and as soon as he got to the pillars, he began  bashing his Keyblade against them, trying to break through!

 

                “Guys, hang on, I’m going to get you all out of here!” Ventus shouted, as he repeatedly struck the pillars with all his might!

                Inside, the rest of the Keyblade Wielders were still unable to stand!  Their struggle against Jexana had left quite a number on them, and they were barely able to breathe!  They knew the predicament they were in, but they were too weak to do anything!  Trish and Kyle were stuck, and they tried squirming their way out of the deathtrap Jexana had dropped on them, but it was no use!  Kyle’s legs were hurting badly, and he looked at Trish, who was trying to push through the pain!

                “Mom…” Kyle began to say.  “Are we going to die…?” he asked.  At that, Trish suddenly stopped, her eyes wide open, and then she looked at Kyle.  She could tell that he was scared, and it took a moment for her to realize that they were indeed in death’s door!  Trish tried to hold back her tears, and she held Kyle’s hand tightly.  She gave no answer, and she simply remained silent.  Kyle shed a tear, and he cursed under his breath, feeling useless!  The other Keyblade Wielders gathered around, bloodied and bruised and battered!  Even though they were all weak, they used as much strength as they could muster to help Kyle and Trish get out from the giant chunk of stone that was crushing them!  They were able to help them get out, but they were only able to crawl, as their legs had been seriously injured!  Everyone then tossed the chunk of stone aside, and they all stood by each other, grim expressions on their faces.  Vanitas glanced upward and noticed the Dark Megaflare spell that was threatening to explode at any given minute!  He then looked at everyone, and saw their faces, filled with despair!

 

                “I guess this is how it ends after all…” Mickey uttered in disbelief, as he sat on the ground, Minnie by his side, holding his hand!  The little king was crying, and Minnie tried to console him, caressing his head and putting his head on her chest.

 

                “Oh Mickey…we tried the best that we could….” she said in a soothing voice, but she was unable to hold back her tears, and she hugged Mickey tightly, the two feeling comfort with their embrace!  Kairi bit her lower lip, and she held Sora’s hand tightly.

 

                “Sora…” she began to say, but he immediately just hugged her and then pulled her into a kiss.  No words were spoken between them, and instead, they just felt their love in the heat of the moment, and when they pulled away, they closed their eyes, resigning to fate.

 

                “Aw…Goofy, h-how’s Daisy going to handle this?” Donald asked, shedding a tear as he laid his head on Goofy’s shoulder.

 

                “Gwarsh Donald…I…I don’t know…” Goofy answered, not being able to offer any comforting words to his dear friend!

 

                “So this is how it all ends…with destruction and death…” Riku said, as he looked at the Dark Megaflare that kept charging up its power!  He clenched his fists tightly, and he felt Dawn hugging him from behind. She held the embrace tightly, and she didn’t let go!  She was crying softly, and she couldn’t even muster the strength to say any words!  Riku looked down, his expression darkened, and tears fell down, as he felt tired, beaten and hopeless!  “Is this really how it ends?” he asked, still in disbelief!  Raxon and Sky saw how everyone prepared to face their fate, and they too, were filled with sadness and despair.  For one, Raxon didn’t want this to happen to Sky!  He wanted to give the little moogle a fighting chance to live!  But now…

 

                “We’re going to die, kupo…” Sky uttered, as his hands trembled and he clung to Raxon like a kitten!  Raxon petted the little moogle’s head, but he didn’t shed any tears.  He was grim and stoic, and he refused to show tears…he didn’t want Sky to steep completely into despair!

 

                “Sky…I’m sorry I dragged you into this…” the pirate said, disheartened!  The little moogle shook his head.

 

                “Don’t apologize, Raxon.  You’re my family, I’m blessed to have met you and had you in my life, kupo!” Sky said, now crying into Raxon’s shoulder!  Vanitas stood there, watching everyone give in to the darkness of despair!  He saw how each and every one of them, battle hardened heroes, were now vulnerable, pathetic humans!  And he knew all too well their struggles, their hopes, their dreams…and how they would all amount to nothing now.  Feeling all this sadness, this anger, this regret…it made Vanitas angry.  He clenched his fists tightly, and he fell on his knees and then looked up at the Dark Megaflare, his eyes shedding tears, his face awash with anger and pain!  But then, his face hardened, and now, simply a defiant expression washed over Vanitas’ face!

 

                “No…it won’t end like this!  I won’t let it!” he shouted!  Everyone heard him, and they turned their heads toward him, and then, his eyes flared a menacing yellow!  Soon, darkness began to seep out of his body!  “I have…to protect…my family!” he shouted, his strength draining, his body getting heavier by the second!  He outstretched his arms wide and sprung up his chest!  And then, his negativity started pouring out of him!  The negativity started taking shape of the Unversed!  What little strength he had left was being used to summon these creatures, and they all started to climb up the pillars, and slowly but surely, they were piling up to create a protective shell!  “This may not be enough…but at least it’ll guarantee that at least a few of us live on…” Vanitas thought to himself, as he kept draining himself of energy!

 

                “V-Vanitas, no!” Kyle shouted weakly, but Vanitas continued to pour out his negativity!  Vanitas then slowly stood up, and even though he was about to fall over, he kept himself steady, and he released even more energy!

 

                “My friends…they are my power!” Vanitas shouted, and with a sudden burst of energy, he was able to summon enough Unversed to cover them from the Dark Megaflare spell!  But afterwards, his body fell flat to the ground!  He was disastrously weakened now, but he slowly managed to pick himself up until he was able to sit.  Everyone had gathered around him, and they looked up, and even though Vanitas had given his all to cast a protective shell over them, some of the Unversed deteriorated away due to the power of the scorching Dark Megaflare!  At that point, everyone closed their eyes, and they despaired.

 

                Sora thought about how it might have been if he and Kairi had raised a family.  He imagined how their children would have looked like!  Kibo and Yume, the two children whom they could have had…Sora imagined that Kibo would have Kairi’s hair and his eyes!  The little boy would be brave, and he’d be a happy, cheery person!  And Yume, Kairi thought that she could have Sora’s brown hair and her eyes.  She’d be a courageous girl, a girl who’d  be a dreamer, reaching for the sky!  They smiled weakly as they thought of the family they could have had, and they held each other’s hands tight, tears flowing down their faces!

 

                Mickey and Minnie thought about how it would have been if the worlds no longer had any conflict, and that everyone united under one, magnificent, wonderful kingdom!  Mickey and Minnie could feel the warm smiles of their people, and the warmth of hope emanating from their hearts!  It was a hope that had been wrongfully taken from them, and a hope that would now die…and it was something that crushed the king and queen deeply!

 

                Donald thought about Daisy, and how badly she’d take all of this.  But most of all, he worried that she might be caught in this chaos, and that she could end up dead as well!  It was something that gnawed at his mind, and he imagined how it would have been like if he had decide to go on a family trip with the triplets and Scrooge, strolling down Timeless River, reminiscing about past days.  It was something that he wasn’t going to be able to do now, and that made him sad!

 

                Goofy was torn, and his thoughts focused on all of his friends, and of his son, Max!  He was worried about how Max would handle himself after all the worlds were to meet their end!  Would Max somehow be able to make it to safety, somehow reach somewhere so far away from the destruction that he wouldn’t affected?  Goofy would have liked to think so, and he thought that Max could be able to help lead a new generation of people, heading towards the reconstruction of the world! But Goofy regretted that he wasn’t able to spend enough time with his son.  He thought of how it would have been if Goofy had allowed Max to enlist with him to become a knight in service of the king!  Max had wanted to, but Goofy had warned that such a job would have been too dangerous for him!  He regretted that greatly now.  He wondered if Max was even thinking about his old man at all…

 

                Riku and Dawn thought about how it would have been after all this had passed, and they had emerged victorious!  They would have wanted to travel the worlds, see wonderful sights, explore the unkown!  They would have gladly gone anywhere, and take in the wonders of the universe!  That’s something they both yearned for with all their hearts!  But with their current predicament, all they could do was embrace each other, feeling each other’s sadness and sorrow.  The only thing they could do now was hold on to each other, as the end of everything neared…

 

                Kyle and Trish thought about Ventus, and they thought about how it would have been if they had been able to return back home to Radiant Garden! A cold, winter night, and all three of them sitting around the fireplace, exchanging stories, making jokes, laughing about anything at all…being a family. It was a beautiful thought they had in their minds…being the family they always had been, spending time with each other, sleeping in as the winter days rolled by, getting hard at work when the summer came…all these sensations, all these experiences…they were all out of reach now.  They worried about Ventus, and had no idea what would happen to him now…

 

                Raxon thought about Sky. He thought about how much better it would have been if the little moogle had been able to achieve another life.  A life where he hadn’t to be exposed to so much danger and death!  Raxon thought about how wonderful it would’ve been if Sky had found a place where other moogles lived, a place he could be able to call home?  Raxon had promised himself that he’d get Sky to a safe home…but that promise was broken now…

 

                Sky thought about all the friends he had made, and he thought about how cruel it was that they had to depart, that they had to say goodbye like this!  He thought that it would’ve been better if they had all been able to win and save all the worlds, and live peaceful lives together!  Sky thought about how it would’ve been like if the worlds had been free from suffering and despair, forever…the little moogle wanted to stay by Raxon’s side, and he sniffled as he trembled in fear and sadness!

 

                Vanitas thought about the cruelty of it all.  He thought about how unjust it was, how despicable it was that after all the sacrifices he and his friends had made, it had all amounted to nothing, just death and despair!  Vanitas had wanted for things to go back to the way they were.  And he’d have wanted to make something of himself, to strike out on the worlds, to help others, to ensure they’d have happier lives.  He even thought about taking on an apprentice, to teach the ways of the Keyblade!  He would’ve liked having a student!  He would’ve liked to brag about that student to his friends…but his thoughts of anger and hate were festering inside him.  He attempted to summon more Unversed, but it was futile, as his strength simply wasn’t enough!

 

                “Guys…this is it…” Sora uttered.  They could feel that the Dark Megaflare was about to explode, and the Unversed shell wasn’t holding up…

 

                “Fellas…it was an honor to live and die by your side…” Mickey said, as he outstretched his hands, and then everyone proceeded to sit in a circle, and they all held each other’s hands, connected, as if in a circular chain!  They held each other’s hands tightly and cried!  They had given it their best shot!  They had given their all for everyone!  They had done all they could…

 

                And now they welcomed death with open arms, as a family…

                Outside, things were getting worse!  The Heartless and Unborn were starting to increase impressively in numbers, and more aggressive types were starting to appear!  Thousands of Shadow Heartless merged together and formed a Devil’s Wave, which threatened to push through Lilith’s army!  But Lilith, Alaya and everyone else fought as bravely as they could!  But even with their fiery spirits, the sky was beginning to turn red, and countless Heartless and Unborn were dropping from the sky!  Pete, who had looked up, felt disheartened, and he shook his head in disbelief!

 

                “What’s wrong with those bozos in there!?  Haven’t they finished off that witch!?” Pete exclaimed!

 

                Yen sid was constantly destroying waves upon waves of foes, but even with his mighty strength and powerful spells such as Meteor, Earthquake and Tsunami, the old wizard was starting to tire out!  He eventually got to one knee, and that’s when the more aggresive Unborn were about to make their move to finish him off!  But Alaya came and slashed through them with a powerful Zantetsuken attack, but she was also exhausted as well!  They fell back, to make some distance between themselves and the enemy, and they managed to catch a bit of breath!

 

                “This isn’t looking good!  The darkness is getting too strong!  We’re being struck down!” Kosaku said with dread, as he saw the infinite amount of foes blanketing the Keyblade Graveyard!

 

                “Those Keyblade Wielders are sure taking their time trying to take down the witch!  I thought Kairi would have handled this by now!” Lilith expressed.  Alaya looked at the gate to Kingdom Hearts, and she breathed slowly and heavily.

 

                “We have to keep holding the line…until the last man…that is what we are out here to do!  No matter…what it takes!” Alaya declared, but soon after, she fell on her back, greatly exhausted!  Yen Sid cast Curaza on everyone, but even with this healing spell, they were all still greatly weakened!

 

                “I believe the time shall soon come that the Heartless and Unborn will consume us…it is only a matter of time…” the old wizard mentioned.

 

                The Dandelions, of which there were very few now, used their energies to create an energy wall that could hold off the enemy, however temporarily!

 

                “We can’t give up!  Not when everything is at stake!  The worlds and universes are on the verge of destruction, we can’t back down now!” Elina, one of the Dandelions said!

 

                “She’s right, we have to fight, like Alaya said, till the last man!  And we plan to do just that!  Whatever it takes to ensure Sora and everyone can finish this once and for all!” Matthew, the other Dandelion said.

 

                Seeing the determination that the Dandelions had made the others feel more encouraged, and even though their bodies were tired to the point of exhaustion, they took up arms, and they prepared for another round of attack!  Lilith rallied forth her men, whom all lined up and prepared for a charge!

 

                “Listen here, everyone!  We’re staring at the jaws of death, we’re staring at the eye of darkness!  We stand at a crossroads…a crucial point, in which we either die, or make history!  This is our battle, it’s our time to fight!  This is our war, this is our time to make things right!  Darkness will always exist, and that’s okay…but when people misuse darkness, we have to stand up and fight back, in order to retain balance!  Because without balance, there would be chaos, disharmony!  We cannot have that!  We have to fight for everything that we fear to lose!  We have to fight for those who can’t!” Lilith spoke triumphantly, as her Knights listened faithfully while crying.

 

                “You have all been by my side, you have all stood by me for so much time, and now, I call upon your strength once more, so that we may go forth and claim victory, for all that we love!  And with our allies, we work together to reach this goal!  All of us, no matter how big or small, play a part in the existence of life itself!  We fight for our right to live!” Lilith proclaimed, as the Dandelions also shed tears!  Alaya had a determined look on her face, as did Yen Sid and Pete!  Lilith then turned to face the countless Heartless and Unborn that were desperately trying to break through the energy wall the Dandelions had put up!

 

                “Charge!!!!!” Lilith shouted, and with that, everyone gave out a triumphant battle cry, and they ran, with fire in their eyes and courage in their hearts, towards the heart of darkness!

 

                Back inside Kingdom Hearts, Ventus was desperately trying to break through the rock pillars, but to no avail, as Jexana had already gotten to him, and they were now in heated combat!  They were fighting at lightning speed, with powerful strikes and spells being exchanged constantly!  The environment around them was changing violently, and giant tornadoes were forming out of thin air, creating vortexes everywhere!  Thunder crackled in the sky, and Kingdom Hearts was being shrouded with darkness with each passing second!

 

                “This is madness!  Jexana, listen to reason, stop this already!” Ventus pleaded, as he kept blocking Jexana’s constant attacks!  But she only fought harder, and then she pushed him back with a powerful shockwave that also sent small rock shards his way!

 

                “Ventus, you don’t understand!  You don’t understand anything!” she shouted, as she then shot out a more powerful version of the Ragnarok attack, sending forth what seemed to be millions of energy rays!  Ventus blocked as many as he could, but he also took cover behind the floating chunks of rock and earth for the rays he couldn’t block or dodge!  It was a game of cat and mouse for a while, but eventually, when the attack subsided, Ventus took the opportunity to launch a counterattack!

 

                “I’ve got you now!” he shouted, and then he propelled himself with one of the floating boulders, and then he swept at Jexana like a violent gust of wind!  Jexana braced herself, but she was wounded, as a gash formed on her left arm!  She winced slightly, but she ignored the pain, and the wound just closed itself!  Ventus cursed under his breath, and he couldn’t understand how it was that Jexana kept healing herself for every major wound he or the others would inflict upon her!

 

                “You haven’t gotten me…not yet!  And you won’t get the chance!” Jexana commented, and then she sent giant boulders hurling towards Ventus, but he slashed through them with concentrated Zantetsuken strikes!  When he struck through the last one, he was just about to slash Jexana’s neck, but she quickly disappeared and then reappeared behind him, managing to run the X-Blade through Ventus, but he managed to dodge the attack!  The attack still hit its mark though, for the X-Blade scraped through the surface of his skin, near his ribcage, and he could feel the flesh ripping from his body!  He gasped and then winced in pain, as his flesh stung, making him hold his side as he landed on a floating chunk of earth!  Jexana was just about to crush Ventus with a giant hammer she created out of the shattered boulders, but he cast a Protect spell that held off her attack!  At least for the moment!

 

                “Curaga!” Ventus shouted, and even though his vitality was restored, the wounds to his body would take a longer time to heal!  But he knew that now was more than enough.  He could deal with a little more pain!  He remained standing there, watching as Jexana continually bashed the Protect spell Ventus had cast, and he glanced over at the rock pillars, for he still hoped to break through it to free his friends!  He tried to create an illusion of himself, and when he managed to do so, he tried to make a quick getaway!  It seemed as though Jexana hadn’t taken notice, and so he immediately went towards the rock pillars, and with concentrated power, he performed multiple Blitz attacks in succession, trying to bash the rock pillars until they would crack!

 

                “Come on…come on!!!” Ventus shouted!  He then began to perform even more powerful techniques, some that he hadn’t even gotten the chance to teach Kyle yet!  He imbued his Keyblade with the power of earth, and then the Keyblade took the form of a giant sledgehammer, and with that, he delivered violent swings that slowly, but surely, were starting to make the rock pillars crack!  He then used another technique, in which he imbued his Keyblade with molten magma, and then he used his Keyblade as a drill of sorts, to drill through the rock pillars!  This technique was working even better, as the drill effect was noticeable!  One of the rock pillars was near shattering, and Ventus was hopeful he could free his friends from a stony grave!

 

                “Just…about…there!!!” Ventus thought to himself, and just when he was about to drill completely through, he was sent flying, crashing through tons upon tons of floating boulders and chunks of earth, until he was stopped in midair, with chains of darkness gripping tightly on his arms and legs!  He was now kept put in midair, and he wasn’t able to free himself!  He then saw Jexana, as she appeared right in front of him!  Ventus was struggling to free himself from the chains she had binded him in, and he kept looking at the rock pillars, desperate to get to his friends!

                “It’s over…” Jexana said, and within a few short seconds, the Dark Megaflare spell she had cast had completed charging, and then it set forth an enormous explosion that no one could even begin to hope to survive!  Ventus’ eyes opened wide, as he saw the dark fire reduce the rock pillars to nothing but ash!  He felt tears well up, and his heart pounded with rage, his soul shattered, his anger rising!

 

                “How could you do this!?” Ventus shouted, enraged, as tears rolled down his face!  Jexana remained unflinching, and she simply looked toward the explosion.

 

                “I had to show you, Ventus.  Show you that your friends were holding you back.  They were keeping you tied down into the belief that your life was perfect.  I wanted you to see that they were nothing but ashes in the wind…but your refusal to see things my way clouded your mind, your heart, and well, I had no choice but to force you to watch as your friends died.” Jexana explained.  She then sighed.  “But, I suppose it doesn’t matter anymore, since you won’t go under my control again, and since you will be determined to stop me…I have no choice but to end you, Ventus…” she said, as she pointed the X-Blade to Ventus’ neck!  Ventus remained there, and his face drooped down, and he felt defeated.  Everything that he and his friends, his family had fought for, had all amounted to nothing!  Now, his family was no more.  He felt himself weaken, and he felt his heart shattering with each passing second.  Tears kept rolling down, but he didn’t shout, he didn’t yell…he cried silent tears…

 

                “I always think of what could have been…but now that I think about it, I’ve been at this the wrong way.  It’s not about what could have been…it’s about what path I’ll forge, into the recreation of the worlds, the universes!  I’ll make my way through this apocalypse without you…” Jexana said, as she readied herself to kill Ventus!

 

                “Well then…on with it!” Ventus growled, as he slowly lifted his head, and his tear filled eyes were now replaced with dry, cold, hateful eyes!  “Go on and kill me!” he commanded, his expression cold!  It even managed to make Jexana freeze in place for a moment!  She seemed to hesítate momentarily, but then, she readied herself anew, and just when she was about to run Ventus through, a beam of light pierced through her chest!

                “Gahhhh!!!” she exclaimed in pain, and then she jerked her head to the side to see what had caused this!  She then saw the Keyblade Wielders, all standing on a platform made out of light!  They were heavily battered and bruised, but alive!  Jexana couldn’t believe her eyes!

 

                “W-what?  Impossible!  How!?” she exclaimed!  Kairi, Dawn and Kyle raised their Keys Of Balance with fiery determination in their faces.

 

                “I guess you could say these Keys helped us out!” Kairi answered.  Ventus, in shock and disbelief of what he was witnessing, burst out into tears of joy, and he felt his heart pound wildly and his body shiver!  His family was alive!

 

                “Everyone, together now!” Sora shouted, and with that, they all surrounded Jexana!  Raxon quickly went towards Ventus and freed him, and they soon joined the others, and they formed a circle, and Jexana was preparing to counterattack!

 

                “You little…” she uttered.

 

                “Not this time!” Kyle shouted, and then, the Keyblade Wielders transformed into a binding ray of light that started to spin slowly, and then picked up speed and started to close in on Jexana!

 

                “W-what is this!?” Jexana exclaimed, as she tried escaping, but found that her powers were not working! The ray of light countinued to inch ever closer, until it constricted Jexana, and then, the ray of light also split into many orbs, and they started to rain down on her relentlessly!  She was being bombarded by the light!  Then, a giant crystal dragon formed in midair, and it gave out a mighty roar, and then, it charged straight towards Jexana and enveloped itself around her, and then, her vision started to blur, as she was being blinded by the light!

 

                “No…impossible!!!” Jexana shouted, as she struggled to break free!  Mickey then shot out of the crystal dragon, and with concentrated power from himself and his friends, he shot forth a divine beam of light that pierced through the dragon and went into Jexana, causing an immense explosion that set forth numerous shockwaves that resonated throughout Kingdom Hearts!  It was as if this light shaked the foundations of existence itself!  The light was so powerful, it blinded everything momentarily!  At that point, the Keyblade Wielders had landed on the light platform, and they all stood together, barely holding on, but together!

                “Is it…over?” Minnie asked.

 

                “I’m not quite sure just yet…” Mickey answered.  When the light died down, only silence remained.  Darkness had stopped enveloping Kingdom Hearts, but things hadn’t gone back to normal just yet!

 

                “It’s not over…” Kyle mentioned.  Everyone else looked at him in silence, and he pointed forward, and then everyone saw.

 

                After the attack they had delivered, a giant fissure, a crack within the fabric of Kingdom Hearts itself, had opened!  That crack let out seams of light and darkness in droves, and everything around them was unstable and in chaos!  And there, they noticed, was Jexana!  She was still alive, even after all the power that had been thrown at her!  Her body healed completely, and she floated in place and glared at the Keyblade Wielders!

 

                “I’ve had it up till here with you all…I’ll end all of you!!!” she shouted, and with that, she enveloped herself in darkness, and then, everything around the Keyblade Wielders started to darken!  It became to the point that they couldn’t see anything anymore, and Kingdom Hearts was now obstructed from their view!  They were suddenly blinded, and they felt as if they were falling through an abyss!

 

                “I can’t see!  What’s happening!?” Donald squawked in panic!

 

                “We’re okay, just stick together!” Riku shouted!

 

                “Be ready for anything!” Vanitas replied!

 

                “Right!” everyone else shouted in unison!

 

                A few seconds later, they found that they had regained their sight…but when they realized what was happening, they were taken aback!  They now seemed to be in a sort of breaking point.  They could see the entire universe before them, stretching out infinitely up, down, left and right!  They could see fragments of destroyed worlds and images of surviving worlds, and they could see the destruction that was being caused everywhere!  The stars were the only thing lighting up the otherwise dark atmosphere around them!  They realized that they were standing on something, but what, they couldn’t even begin to guess!  It was only when Ventus took a step forward that a sudden burst of light emanated, revealing where they were standing!  They were in…a Station Of Awakening!

 

                “Is this…?” Trish asked.  Kyle nodded.

 

                “Yeah…” he replied.

 

                And there they saw, the Station Of Awakening belonged to Jexana!  It showed an image of her in the center, holding both of her hands to her chest, her head bowed and eyes closed, and she seemed to be wearing a black dress!  Around her were shattered pieces of what seemed to symbolize her memories, and they also saw many symbols, such as palm trees, a clear, orange sky…and Ventus’ bracelet!  Her station was colored white and rose, the rose serving as the bordeline, with the white filling the inside!  The symbols and memory fragments were housed in square tiles that surrounded Jexana’s image in a circle!  Then, the Keyblade Wielders looked up, and saw Jexana, who was starting to come out of the darkness she had enveloped herself in!

                “This is where existence is put to an end…to usher forth a new beginning!  You will all be wiped from existence!” Jexana declared, and within an instant, her body began to dissolve!  The Keyblade Wielders prepared themselves, and they saw how Jexana’s body became one with darkness, truly and fully!  In place of her normal body, the darkness molded an ominous, grim looking armor that was as dark as the most evil of hearts, a helmet covering her face, adorned with a crown of silver!  Her arms transformed into whisps of darkness, the only thing pyshical about them her hands, which were now housed inside steel black gauntlets!  The X-Blade itself increased to her proportionate size, and she gripped it tightly!  Her lower body also became a whisp of darkness, and resembled like how a genie’s lower body looked like!  Her dark form towered high above the Keyblade Wielders, and she was like a giant, whilst the Keyblade Wielders looked like ants!

 

                “No turning back now…this is where we make our final stand!” Sora declared!  Everyone nodded, and had fiery determination in their hearts!

 

                “Jexana…this ends now!!!” Kyle shouted!

Good evening everyone, I hope that you’re all doing okay!  So then…this is it!  The final chapter!  Five whole years of building up this trilogy, five whole years of emotions, intrigue and excitement, now come to an end with this final chapter of the third and final installment of The Keyblade War Trilogy!  I can’t believe I’ve come this far!  It’s amazing how time has flown by…I remember when I first began writing this trilogy up back in 2011 in Chicago…wow, the feels are real! But anyways, there’ll be time for talk at the end, so for now, enjoy this, the final chapter of this saga, which I bring to you all with great love and care!  Enjoy!

 

Chapter Fifty: Owari-Part 10 Of 10: Beauty Of Apocalypse!

                The air was thick with tension.

 

                Each and every one of the Keyblade Wielders, whom had all prepared for this final confrontation, now stood head to head against Jexana, who was using her power and the power of darkness to oblitérate them for good!  Kyle and Trish, whose legs had been injured earlier, were healed thanks to Kyle’s Key Of Balance!  Kyle appreciated that he was able to stand on his feet, and so he stood by his mother and his friends, all of them in silence.  No words were spoken, for now, all that laid before them was one final battle.  Win, and they’d be able to put a stop to this war once and for all!  Lose, and everything would come to an end.  The stakes couldn’t get higher than that!  Jexana, who had been completely consumed by darkness and now stood before them in a towering, dark form, closed her gloved hand into a fist!

 

                “You will not know mercy from me.  I’ll ensure that these final moments are the worst of your lives!  I’ll make sure that I make this so much of a nightmare that death will be a welcome embrace to all of you!  There is no escape from my wrath!” she declared!  And with that, she raised her right hand, and when she opened it, a wave of darkness came down upon the Keyblade Wielders, and for a moment, they were taken aback, for the darkness that was now surrounding them seemed to be sapping them of their strength!

 

                “Huh?  What is this?” Riku asked as he tried to dispel the darkness, but it was no use!

 

                “Don’t worry fellas, I got this!  Light!” Mickey called forth, and a wave of light emanated all they way to the edges of the Station Of Awakening, and fortunately enough, the darkness was dispelled!  But a few seconds later, they saw that Neoshadow Heartless were crawling up the Station Of Awakening, aiming to surround them!

 

                “This isn’t good!” Sora exclaimed!

 

                “Everyone, we have to cover each other’s backs!  We’ll be attacked by all sides!  We have to hang in there!” Kairi shouted!

 

                “Right!” everyone replied in unison, and with that, they started fighting off the Neoshadows that were already pouncing on them!  Their claws were sharp and their bodies were agile, but the Keyblade Wielders kept them at bay accordingly!  But as they did so, Jexana swung the X-Blade, bringing forth a massive wave of darkness that the Keyblade Wielders weren’t able to block or dodge!  They took the full force of the attack, and they were scattered across the Station Of Awakening, which was quite big!  They also found themselves feeling weaker, no doubt an effect of Jexana’s attack!

 

                “We can’t stop for a second!  We need to be relentless!” Raxon said, and he transformed his Keyblade into dual pistols, and he began firing upon the Neoshadows that were getting in his way!  Sky also helped clear out the field with his spells, and they both made their way towards Jexana!  When they were close enough to her, Raxon fired concentrated beams of fire, while Sky shot forth multiple Triple Firaga spells, as they tried to see if they could break through her armor!  But she simply swatted away the spells with her hand, and then, with the X-Blade, she created a giant tornado that swept up Raxon and Sky!  Kyle glanced back and noticed this, and quickly attempted to rescue them!

 

                “Guys!!!” Kyle shouted as he shot his Key Of Balance like a spear!  Once close to the tornado, the Key Of Balance imbued itself with Tundaga magic, and it crackled through the tornado, providing Raxon and Sky with the opportunity to escape!  Once safe, they continued their assault on Jexana!

 

                “Thanks mate, owe you one!” the pirate remarked!  But their chatter was quickly put to a stop, as Jexana slammed the X-Blade on her Station Of Awakening, sending forth gigantic waves of darkness towards the Keyblade Wielders!  They were all barely able to dodge, and they tried to counterattack, but were kept at bay by the Neoshadows!  Jexana then outstretched her free hand, and when she opened up her palm, dark chains came out, and they vigorously pursued the Keyblade Wielders, grabbing them one by one and pulling them up high above the Station Of Awakening!  They tried to counterattack, but weren’t able to get the chance, and so they were pulled up by Jexana’s chains, and they were all held high up in midair!  Soon after, purple flames began to sear from the corners of the chains, inching closer upon the Keyblade Wielders, aiming to burn them alive!

 

                “Oh no, not this time!” Riku stated, as he struggle to break free, and eventually, he tapped into his dark powers and broke through the chains, then proceeding to liberate the others, and then they landed down on the Station Of Awakening!  But they found themselves surrounded by Neoshadows again!

 

                “Enough of this!!!” Jexana shouted, and with that, she opened her arms up wide, and all the Neoshadows found themselves getting sucked into Jexana’s armor!  They tried to claw at the Keyblade Wielders, but instead they were forced into Jexana, amplifying her dark powers!  Once all the Neoshadows were absorbed, Jexana started to rain down a hail of blood red daggers that kept materializing out of thin air!  Given the limited space, the Keyblade Wielders were forced to stand close and block as many of the blood daggers as they could!  Eventually, though, Minnie cast a Protectga spell that managed to cover all of them, and for the moment, they were able to remain safe from Jexana’s onslaught!  Already, Sora and Vanitas came up with a counterattack in the form of a giant, golden X that channeled the power of light and darkness!  The giant X blazed through the Protectga spell and aimed straight for Jexana’s chest armor!  But when the attack hit, it did absolutely nothing, not even a scratch!

 

                “Damn…this is proving more difficult than I’d thought it’d be!” Vanitas mentioned.

 

                “No one said this would be easy!” Dawn replied.

 

                “Heh, you got that right…” Vanitas commented.  And so, they scattered, as Jexana began delivering a flurry of attacks that were imbued with darkness, and despite her colossal size, she was quite agile!  She was on top of the Station Of Awakening, slamming here and there and everywhere!  The Keyblade Wielders sustained damage, but not to the point that they couldn’t fight!  But still, Jexana’s attacks were taking their toll on them!

 

                “Fade into darkness!” Jexana shouted, and suddenly, the Station Of Awakening shattered into thousands upon thousands of shards!  Everyone then found themselves falling down into an endless abyss!

 

                “Waaaak, we’re gonna die!!!!” Donald squawked!

 

                “Everybody, stick together!” Trish shouted, as they all fell down the abyss as close as they could to each other!

 

                For a moment, there seemed to be silence!  But then, after a few seconds, Jexana started dashing through the darkness, slashing her way through with the X-Blade, causing giant black holes to form everywhere, which threatened to pull the Keyblade Wielders in!  They all struggled against the tug of the black holes, but it was proving fatal, for they were inching closer towards them!  And if that wasn’t enough…

 

                “Gahhh, what are those, kupo!?” Sky exclaimed!  As everyone looked up, they noticed replicas, human sized versions of Jexana’s colossal form, by the dozens, heading towards them! They shot forth orbs of darkness that broke into multiple spheres and then culminated in a wide radius Dark Thundaga attack!  The Keyblade Wielders received damage, but Mickey and Donald quickly cast Curaga!  But even so, the replicas still kept coming at them!  They aimed to pick the Keyblade Wielders off one by one!

 

                “Let’s play their game!” Kairi proclaimed, and in an instant, she flung her Keyblade towards one of the replicas, and then, she dissappeared and reappeared behind anothe replica and struck, and then repeated for a total of eight times, thus performing the Warp Raid attack!  With this, she was able to take out a few replicas, but more came to take their place!

 

                “Looks like it’s our turn!” Kyle and Trish said in unison, and then the two of them focused their energies and created a giant energy cannon, and concentrating their energy into it, they fired highly concentrated magic beams that pierced through multiple replicas, making them fade away!  Kyle and Trish kept up this steady rhthym, but it was only a matter of time before the replicas merged together and formed into a giant sword that pierced through the cannon, breaking it and making it dissipate!  Soon after, the replicas split up again, and then they got out of the way, as Jexana swung the X-Blade with great might, causing the Keyblade Wielders to be pulled even closer to the black holes!

 

                “This…isn’t….good!!!!” Goofy shouted as he struggled to remain out of the reach of one of the black holes!  Dawn frowned, and she used her Key Of Balance to summon forth multiple light discs!  She concentrated on their power and then made them scatter, and as they did, they made their way towards the black holes, sealing them and making them vanish!  At least that was one problem solved.  But they still kept falling into the endless abyss, and the replicas were hot on their heels!  Raxon was getting irritated, and he transformed his Keyblade into a rifle and took aim at Jexana, who was high above them!

 

                “Damn you, witch!” he shouted, and then, he shot forth a powerful bullet that blazed upward at blinding speeds!  In just three short seconds, the bullet reached Jexana, and it managed to pierce through her armor, causing her to grow angrier!  She then blanketed everything in darkness, and the replicas became stronger!  They dashed towards the Keyblade Wielders, and they began attacking relentlessly!

 

                “Everyone, hold on!!!” Vanitas shouted, and then, he gathered everyone together as best as he could, and with concentration, he used his power to envelope everyone in a sphere of darkness!  Once the sphere was made, they moved upward, heading straight towards Jexana!

 

                “We have to get to her, try to break that armor of hers!” Mickey suggested.

 

                “Agreed!” Kairi said.  “I’ll take the lead!” Kairi said.  The others nodded, and then, as they inched closer, Kairi broke through the sphere of darkness with her Key Of Balance, and she managed to land on Jexana’s right hand, and then she started to smash the gauntlet and cast multiple powerful spells in order to make the darkness that was empowering her dissipate!  The damage was slow, but was building up!  Jexana was getting irritated by this, and just as she was about to crush Kairi with her free hand, Riku and Dawn came just in time and held back her hand with their Keyblades, managing to slash forward and cause Jexana to stagger!  They then took care of chipping away at her left gauntlet!

 

                “I will kill you all!!!!” Jexana shouted menacingly, and soon, a giant ring of flame and a rain of Thundaga spells started to resonate all around her, making attacking her more risky and dangerous!  The other Keyblade Wielders, whom were now able to have solid footing thanks to Sora, who used the Magnega spell to gather the broken shards of the Station Of Awakening, formed a set of crystallized stairs, from which they all stood and started firing a volley of concentrated magical spells and beams of light and darkness!  Jexana received the bulk of the volley in full, and she grew even angrier, swooping the X-Blade, creating a giant gust of wind that pushed everyone away, making them fall down the endless abyss again!

 

                “This will be your final resting place…” Jexana commented, as she prepared to charge a giant sphere of darkness to consume the Keyblade Wielders!  They all tried to reach her as fast as they could, but she was too far away from them, and any projectile attacks they’d try wouldn’t reach her in time!

 

                “She’s going to kill us!” Kairi shouted!

 

                “We have to be ready to block that sphere of darkness! Brace yourselves everyone!” Sora shouted!

 

                “We also have a problem below us, fellas!” Mickey declared as he pointed downward!  And true enough, the replicas were a short distance away, all of them preparing to fire forth projectile attacks!

 

                “We need defense!” Minnie shouted!

 

                “On it!” Vanitas replied. “Together, let’s go, from side to side!” he shouted, and with that, he, Mickey and Minnie formed a barrier on their side, while Donald, Trish and Sky formed a barrier above them, to defend from both sides!  The others cast Protectga on the party, ensuring that they’d at least be able to resist the fatal attack that was coming upon them!

 

                “Jexana’s almost got us!” Riku shouted!  Sky, who glanced back, noticed that neither Raxon nor Kyle were with them!  The little moogle quickly panicked and flapped his wings nervously!

 

                “W-where’s Raxon and Sky, guys!?  They’re not here with us, kupo!” the little moogle stated, much to everyone’s alarm!

 

                “Kyle…where’s Kyle!?” Trish exclaimed!

 

                But what they hadn’t noticed was that Raxon and Kyle had managed to scale up Jexana’s armor, without her noticing, and they both charged their Keyblades, ready to deliver a fatal strike that could potentially give them the victory they’ve been seeking!  Before Jexana even took notice of their presence, Raxon and Kyle formed a giant X of light that then slammed down upon Jexana, making her lose her levitation! She then began to fall down slowly into the abyss, while the replicas below seemed to have been affected by the attack, as they disappeared all of a sudden!  The other Keyblade Wielders took this moment to their advantage, and they delivered a fatal heavy rain of powerful spells and beams of light and darkness, not giving even a second for Jexana to retaliate!  She received this barrage in full, and the darkness that she had seemed to have spread and scattered!  And just like that, all the Keyblade Wielders found themselves being suffocated by the darkness Jexana had let out, and that same darkness was also blinding them!

 

                “W-what is this!?” Sora exclaimed!

 

                “Guys!!!” Kyle shouted from above, but his voice became muffled from the darkness! 

 

                No one had time to react, and before they knew it, everything around them was pitch black!

 

                There was a grim silence for a very long time.  Everything was dark, and everything seemed devoid of life…and even though the Keyblade Wielders were still alive, at the same time, they felt a hollow emptiness inside them.  Was this what death felt like?  Was this how their friends felt when they met their demise?  It was a question that lingered in their mind, and one that they would probably find no answer to…

 

                Kairi found herself drifting in the endless darkness, and she found that she was by her lonesome!  She felt cold and desolate, and she looked all around her, and she saw no one!  Where were her friends, she thought!  Had she died?  She was uncertain about what happened, but all she knew is that she felt terrified!  As she drifted through the darkness, she closed her eyes and felt hopelessness wash over her!

 

                “Is this the end?  Did we all fight for nothing…?” she thought aloud.  And almost as if on cue, a small orb of light made its way towards Kairi!  She took notice of this orb of light, and her eyes remained fixed upon it!  She felt a warmth emanating from this light, and then she recognized that warmth.

 

                “Aqua?” she asked, as she reached out.  The orb vaguely sparkled, as if to acknowledge Kairi’s question.

 

                “You have our light.  Deep inside, this light will never go out, no matter how dark things may seem…” Aqua whispered.  With those words said, the orb of light entered into Kairi’s heart, and she held her hands to her chest, and she smiled as she felt Aqua’s warmth pulsating inside her!

 

                “We’ll make sure…that the light doesn’t die!” Kairi proclaimed, and with that, a sudden rift opened through the darkness, and Kairi was rushed through it, as if she had been flung down!  She landed on her feet, and when she got herself up, she saw that the other Keyblade Wielders were also getting to their feet!  She was relieved that they were all okay!  And now, it seemed, the scenery had changed anew!  Instead of darkness, now they stood upon what seemed to be a snow covered land, the ground as white as snow, the trees blanketed by the soft, snowy flakes!  And far away in the distance, Kingdom Hearts shone, and it still had a luminous aura to it!  That was a good sign!  But the change in landscape meant that things were getting worse!  But now, it seemed the landscape was a little bit more complete than just a few moments ago!  And there, in the distance, Jexana’s massive form towered above the snow capped lands, and she made her way to them slowly, her darkness making her hover a bit above the ground!  The Keyblade Wielders all looked at each other and nodded in unison, and they were ready for anything!  They were tired, yes, exhausted even!  But they knew they had to keep going!

 

                “You refuse to die…that’s quite a shame…but, this does make things more entertaining for me!  You fools will taste darkness and despair!” Jexana bellowed as she swung the X-Blade, which now shined a radiant gold!  The Keyblade Wielders readied themselves for what they knew would be a powerful onslaught, and with fiery determination, they charge forward, just as Jexana prepared to swing the X-Blade with both hands!

 

                “Die!!!!” she shouted, and she swung the X-Blade downward, causing the earth beneath her to shatter, and the snow to disperse into a fog!  The Keyblade Wielders were scattered about, but they didn’t remain in place!  Instead, they kept going, trudging through the fog of snow, until they saw Jexana, who had already set up a cluster of laser cannons that were hovering in midair!  With a wave of her hand, the cannons began hailing fire down upon the Keyblade Wielders, but they blocked as many of the lasers as they could, and they stormed through!  Sora and Kairi both performed a unified Sonic Blade attack, and they pierced at one of Jexana’s gauntlets numerous times, and with the final strike, they got out of the way, and Goofy flung his shield as Donald cast Firaga on it, making Goofy’s shield turn into a flaming disc that created a dent in Jexana’s armor!  Mickey and Minnie cast Pearls of light towards the areas where the darkness was misformed, hoping they could seep into her being and break the armor in one shot!  But apparently, it was no easy task!

 

                “Out of the way!” Trish shouted, and with that, everyone moved out of the way, and she, Ventus and Kyle stood together, side by side, and they fired forth a powerful energy beam that managed to pierce through Jexana’s armor, creating a small opening which was seeping out darkness!

 

                “Perfect!” Vanitas replied, and with that, he enveloped himself in a sphere of darkness, and when he did so, numerous replicas sprouted out from the sphere, and they all homed in on the opening in Jexana’s armor, bashing on it repeatedly!  Jexana tried repelling the replicas with a barrier, but it was no use, as the damage had already been done!  Raxon then prepared himself, and he transformed his Keyblade into dual pistols, firing repeatedly at the now gaping hole in Jexana’s armor!  The constant fire was proving effective, as Jexana was slowing down, trying to cover herself!  Sky cast Bind and made her stay put, and Riku and Dawn went in and delivered a multitude of different attacks!  For now, things were going their way!  That is, until…

 

                “Grahhhhh!!!!” Jexana shouted in frustration, as she let out a powerful burst of darkness that knocked all the Keyblade Wielders over!  When they got to their feet, they noticed that she was…gone!

 

                “Where’d she go!?  She was right there just a second ago!” Donald exclaimed!  Everyone remained alert, but before they could notice what was about to befall them, Jexana had reappeared on top of them, and she was about to deliver a fatal attack on the Keyblade Wielders!  And they weren’t even going to see it coming!

                Outside, on the Keyblade Graveyard, the war was reaching its most desperate point!  Even though Lilith and her Knights were proving to be a force to be reckoned with, and even with Kosaku’s council and Yen Sid, Pete, the Dandelions and Alaya’s help, they were being overrun by the Heartless and Unborn!  Numerous legions of Shadows had formed into Devil’s Waves, and Neoshadows merged together to form Demon Surges, a more powerful and deadlier version of the standard Shadow’s Devil’s Wave!  The Unborn had also merged together, and they formed into giant Titans that possessed great strength and powerful magic!  Others merged into aerial Bombers that were hailing destructive orbs of darkness from the skies!  Lilith and the others were being bombarded, and it was a miracle they were still alive!

 

                Lilith, along with two of her Knights, were storming through waves of Heartless, and they stopped for a moment to catch a breather!

 

                “Lilith, these creatures are proving too powerful!  We’ve been holding them off as long as possible, it’s going to come to the point where we’ll all die!  We have to retreat!” one of the Knights mentioned!

 

                “He may be right, Lilith!  We’re losing too many of our men, we have to pull back!” the other Knight, a female, agreed.  But Lilith shook her head.

 

                “We can’t leave Kairi and the others to rot…we have to help them however we can!” she answered as she slashed through Defenders with ease!

 

                “But ma’am—“ one of the Knights began to say, but was cut off when Lilith simply raised her hand.

 

                “Enough…either way, even if we retreat, it’s only a matter of time before these infernal creatures reach our world…we have to stay here, if we hope to survive!” Lilith mentioned as she blazed through numerous Unborn with a Fire Dash attack!  The two Knights following her delivered fast and effective attacks that brought down their foes rather quickly!

 

                “We’re with you to the end…” one of the Knights said, and Lilith smiled.

 

                “I know…that’s why I trust you all with my life…” she replied, and with that, they kept storming through the enemy hordes, along with the other Knights, who were soon following behind!  They eventually reached Kosaku and his council, and they were on a small hill, holding off an increasing enemy force that was surrounding them!  They cast forth fatally powerful spells that indeed kept the enemy at bay, but the enemy was closing in with each step!  Fortunately, Lilith came in time with her Knights, and they took care of the enemy!  Kosaku and the others nodded, and gave a smile of approval!

 

                “Good timing!  We were cut off from the Dandelions, Alaya, Yen Sid and Pete!  They’re further ahead!  We need to break through the enemy lines if we hope to reach them!” Kosaku explained!  Lilith nodded and put her hand on Kosaku’s shoulder.

 

                “Then let’s open a path!” she declared!  The two nodded in unison, and then, with their combined might, the Order Of The X-Blade and the Knights Of Ygdrassil broke through the enemy lines, like an arrow in a sea of wind!

 

                As Kosaku delivered a powerful Shining Wave attack, which sent a wave of light pillars towards the enemy, Lilith leapt over him and performed a Fatal Spike attack, which caused numerous spikes to jut out of the ground like a death trap, taking out multitudes of Heartless and Unborn!  They alternated attacks, and they stood side by side!  Kosaku delivered fatal spin attacks that emanated shockwaves, while Lilith delivered Blitz attacks that became ever more powerful with each and every strike she successfully performed!  The Council and the Knights weren’t far behind, and they charged through the enemy, slowly pushing them back!  As they charged through, they noticed all the Keyblades stabbed into the ground, all the fallen warriors of a war long past, no doubt having departed this life with many regrets…but that’s something that Kosaku and Lilith weren’t planning on!  They were fighting so that they wouldn’t have any regrets!  They weren’t going to let things end like they did in the first Keyblade War!  They were going to set things to their side, to turn the tide, for the sake of all worlds, of all universes!

 

                Explosions dotted the horizon and and the sky, as projectiles and magic spells were being fired heavily across the battlefield!  Eventually, Lilith and Kosaku reached the Dandelions, who had all formed a circle! In the center, Yen Sid could be seen, his hands clasped together, as apparently, he was preparing to cast a powerful spell!  Alaya was casting buffing spells on the Dandelions, and Pete was providing ranged damage towards the enemy!

 

                “Well, it looks like they’ve got things covered!” Lilith mentioned.

 

                “So it would seem.  But, a little help we give them wouldn’t hurt, eh?” Kosaku asked.  Lilith smirked.

 

                “Hmph, then let’s get to it!  Everyone, charge!!!” Lilith shouted, and with that, the Knights and the Council all charged forward, heading to the aid of their friends!

                Back inside Kingdom Hearts, Jexana was just about to deliver a fatal attack!  Before the Keyblade Wielders could take notice, she slammed the X-Blade into the ground, causing the earth below to spring upward, flinging the surprised Keyblade Wielders up on the air!  With them caught off guard, Jexana teleported to each and every one of them, delivering a fatal swing of the X-Blade or a flurry of dark spells and projectiles, or a brutal punch from her heavy gauntlets!  She tore through the Keyblade Wielders as she teleported, and when she finished, she snapped her fingers and caused a wide set of explosions to occur, which lit up the sky!

 

                And as the explosions died down, the Keyblade Wielders plummeted to the ground below, and landing with sickening thuds!  Some of them tumbled in the snow, while others crashed against the trees, breaking through many of them!  They were all severely injured!  Jexana then waved her hand and summoned forth giant floating pillars of darkness, and then, she summoned about ten, and when she waved her hand again, the giant pillars all started to gather together!  Once they formed a circle, she waved her hand down, and slammed the pillars against the ground, making it crack and spring the Keyblade Wielders up into the air again!  They were all still reeling from the last attack, and they hadn’t even recovered when Jexana sent forth a volley of Dark Ragnarok beams at them!  They were all trying to reorient themselves in time to dodge the Ragnarok beams coming their way, but they were besieged by the beams and fell down once again!  As they fell, Jexana swung the X-Blade with great force, causing thousands upon thousands of rock spikes to appeaer out of thin air!  They looked like arrows, dotting the sky and heading towards the Keyblade Wielders!

 

                “Everyone, hold on!!!” Mickey shouted!  Luckily, they had all been able to regroup, and with Kairi, Dawn and Minnie’s combined magic, they formed a powerful barrier that managed to protect them from the volley of rock arrows!  When the last arrow landed, the barrier broke down, and immediately, the Keyblade Wielders tried using the environment to their advantage!  Ventus cast Aeroga on the snow, causing a thick fog to form!  Trish and Kyle took advantage of this and placed multiple Mine Square and Mine Shield spells, while Mickey and Minnie placed floating orbs of light that would let out great surges of electricity if touched!  Sora, Donald and Goofy prepared to unleash a Trinity attack, and Raxon transformed his Keyblade into a rifle, ready to aim at Jexana’s head!  Sky cast buffing magic on everyone, and Riku and Dawn fortified their defenses with a barrier made of darkness!  Vanitas managed to summon an Unversed Trinity Armor, and it floated just a bit above everyone!  Kairi cast Curaga on everyone, and they readied themselves for Jexana’s next attack!

 

                “You fools won’t blind me!” Jexana replied, and with one simple swing of the X-Blade, the snowy fog was lifted, revealing the trap the Keyblade Wielders had tried to lure her into!  “Hmmph, insolent fools!” she mocked, and then, with two hands, she thrusted the X-Blade forward and caused a radiant light to shoot out, almost as bright as the rays of the sun!  The light blinded everyone temporarily, and when it died down, they saw that Jexana was right on top of them!  She had stepped on the Mine spells and the orbs of light, but they didn’t even faze her!  She was about to strike everyone when the Trinity Armor got in the way, protecting everyone by blocking Jexana’s attack with one of its arms!  Jexana looked at the Unversed and scoffed!

 

                “Hmph, this creature won’t stop me!” Jexana said, and as she thrust the X-Blade to finish off the Trinity Armor, it stopped the X-Blade by holding the blade with its two hands clasped together!  This caught Jexana off guard for the moment, and the Trinity Armor then delivered a powerful punch that caused Jexana’s helmet to crack!

 

                “Now!!!” Vanitas shouted!

 

                Immediately, Kairi used the snow to create a giant set of stairs, and the solidified the snow into ice!  Mickey and Minnie were the first to climb upward, and the two of them reached Jexana’s chest armor and placed both of their palms on it, and as they closed their eyes, they uttered a sort of incantation, and afterwards, they leapt back, and Jexana’s chest armor now seemed to be binded, and chains of light started to grow out of the mark that Mickey and Minnie had left on her armor!  The chains then stretched out and started to constrict her body!  Sora, Donald and Goofy then climbed up and delivered an up and close Trinity Limit!  They slashed at Jexana, then they shot out a powerful sphere of magic, and then they gathered together and slammed downwards, creating a sigil of light that emanated powerful energy that staggered Jexana greatly!

 

                Riku and Dawn climed the set of stairs and then got on each of Jexana’s gauntlets!  Riku stabbed his Keyblade on Jexana’s right gauntlet, and Dawn stabbed hers on Jexana’s left gauntlet!  Riku then began channeling the power of darkness, mixed in with a little of Dawn’s, and then, he drew a sigilo n the gauntlet, and within seconds, the gauntlet started to crack!  Dawn, on the other hand, was already dismantling Jexana’s other gauntlet!  As she twisted her Keyblade to the right, the gauntlet was shattering, and Jexana was struggling to break free of the chains of light that had confined her!

               

                “W-what is this insolence!?  I cannot be defeated!” Jexana exclaimed!

 

                “Oh yeah?  Well, we’ll see about that!” Raxon answered, as he delivered a shot right at Jexana’s head, causing her helmet to shatter completely!  Her face was now exposed, except that it seemed to be enveloped in darkness, to it appeared as though her head was nothing but a wisp of darkness!

 

                “We have to strike now!  Let’s do this, kupo!” Sky shouted!

 

                “Right!” Raxon agreed, and with that, he shot forth another bullet, and this time, Sky imbued it with a fusion spell that mixed in Firaga, Blizzaga and Thundaga, forming a powerful arrow that beamed with powerful energy!  The arrow, aimed at Jexana’s head, was about to hit, but when it neared Jexana’s head, it dissipated!

 

                “Damn!  It seems that her darkness is still strong to the point that projectiles won’t do her much damage…” Raxon muttered.  “But no matter! We’ve got her pinned down now!” he said.

 

                “And now it’s our turn!” Kyle said, as he, Ventus and Trish ran forward, and they ran until they were right below Jexana!  Ventus then cast Aeroga, and Kyle combined a Magnega spell, and then Trish cast Bind, and now Jexana was completely immobilized, and it seemed as though her darkness was being drained from her!  The Keyblade Wielders then stood side by side, and they were ready to deliver the final blow!

 

                “No!!!  This won’t be how this ends!  This will end on my terms, not yours!  You’ve had enough hope!  I will crush it!” Jexana declared, and then she gave out a defiant yell!  With all her strength and sheer willpower, she broke through the chains that binded her, and with a swing of the X-Blade, she dispelled everything that was holding her down!  “I’ve had enough of your meddling!  Die!” Jexana shouted, and with that, she raised the X-Blade up and shot a crimson red orb into the sky!  The Keyblade Wielders looked up, and suddenly, they were now stuck in place! Soon, they were forced to the ground, and it seemed as though they were being crused by gravity itself!  That was no doubt because of the crimson orb that was slowly descending upon them!

 

                “Now watch as you all face extinction…” Jexana uttered, the darkness surrounded her flowing with the wind.

 

                “N-no…” Kyle replied.

 

                “What did you say?” Jexana asked.

 

                “I…said…no!” Kyle shouted, as he slowly tried to stand up, even though his body was being crushed by gravity!  “We won’t give in, and we won’t give up!  Not when we’ve come this far!  Not after all the sacrifices our friends have made to get us here!  Even if we die, we have to stop you!” he declared!

 

                “Hmph, bold words for a person about to die.” Jexana said as she smirked, and with a wave of her hand, the crimson orb dropped down, and once it touched the ground, it emitted a powerful wave of blood red energy, and as soon as it reached the Keyblade Wielders, they all dissipated, and their bodies faded away, just like that!

                The effects of this fatal attack could be felt outside, as the whole Keyblade Graveyard seemed to have shaken!  Lilith, Kosaku and the others looked towards the gate to Kingdom Hearts in alarm, and they had assumed the worst!  And the fact that the Heartless and Unborn were doubling down upon them wasn’t helping matters!  They were now dreadfully surrounded, and their forces were starting to stretch thin!  They were all gathered together in a circle, while the enemy surrounded them with much greater numbers!  Alaya stormed through the enemy, delivering fatal attacks and brutal slashes!  Yen Sid showed his proficiency as a Keyblade Wielder, and for a man of his age, he delivered quite powerful and precise strikes!  He also finished off each flurry of strikes with a powerful spell that kept the enemy at bay!  Pete enveloped himself in his energy marble and rolled around the battlefield in a circle, doing his best to protect what few of his allies remained!  He was a constant blaze of energy that sped around and around the others, shielding them from being slaughtered by the Heartless and Unborn!  Everything seemed to flow in slow motion, as the situation began getting tenser!

 

                “Did they fail?  Were they consumed by Jexana’s power…?” Alaya thought as she pierced her Keyblade through an Invisible!

 

                Everyone grew uneasy, and they feared tha the worst had come to pass!  But even with those fearful thoughts in mind, they kept soldiering on, despite the blatantly ridiculous odds that were stacked against them!  They pushed forward with all their strength, but were starting to lose more allies!  The few Dandelions that remained were being obliterated, and even Lilith’s Knights were falling before the might of their dark foes!

 

                “This cannot be the end…it cannot!” Alaya thought to herself!

 

                And everywhere else, the chaos that was enveloping all of existence was taking its toll!  Many, many worlds were destroyed, and the few that still remained were slowly being sucked into black holes that led to an endless void!  The very fabric of the universes themselves were tearing apart, causing many anomalies so spread throughout all corners of existence!  Everything was chaos, and no one could do anything to stop this destruction!

 

                Homes were destroyed, vegetation withered away and died, oceans dried up…earth became dust, the very wind stopped in its tracks!  Any and all living things were obliterated, and the people that hadn’t been able to escape their homeworlds were being swept away by the destruction!  Countless families were huddled together, praying that this was all just some sort of nightmare!  Other familes came to the realization that this was their time, and they gathered together and held hands, ready to embrace the inevitable!  Some people looked upward to the darkened sky, and they outstretched their hand, questioning why their lives had to come to an end!  Their hearts, their very souls, they all trembled with fear and sorrow!  Was this their fate?  To die in such a cruel way?

 

                Parents wept for their children, whom had just started to live!  They would never get to grow up, they would never get to experience life…all of that would be robbed from them in just an instant!  All this sadness and sorrow remained with these people, and as the chaos continued to spread and the darkness swept far and wide, the people stranded on their own homeworlds were blown away like ash!  They were no more…

 

                At Alaya’s temple, Daisy could feel all the sorrow, she could feel all the sadness!  And it seemed she wasn’t the only one, for all the survivors that were with her also felt this, and they wept, for they knew that they had lost many friends, family, countless lives…all ended.  They remained in silence, weeping for the departed…that was all they could do from breaking apart…

 

                Back inside Kingdom Hearts, Kyle opened his eyes abruptly, and it took a moment for him to realize what was happening!  He remembered Jexana having delivered a fatal attack that inflicted damage upon himself and his friends!  As he remembered this, he soon came to another realization…he felt light, very light…and when he looked at his hands, he noticed that his body was slowly fading away!

 

                “What?  No!  This can’t be!  I’m fading away!?  But we haven’t defeated Jexana!” he exclaimed!  He then saw all his friends, and noticed that their bodies were fading away as well!  They had already come to, and they were a short distance apart from each other!

 

                “I-is this it?  Are we going to die now?” Donald asked sadly.  Goofy sniffled and put his hand on Donald’s shoulder, only for his hand to pass through Donald, as it was fading away!

 

                “I guess so, Donald…” Goofy answered grimly.  Kyle shook his head in disbelief, and he could feel tears forming in his eyes!

 

                “I feel…so cold…my body…it’s…it’s so cold…” Riku muttered, as his body seemed to have suffered heavy damage!  His legs and arms were fading away, and his eyes were half closed!  He struggled to open them wider, but couldn’t!  Dawn was crying weakly, and she looked up at the crimson surrounding them!

 

                “This isn’t fair…this just isn’t fair!  I don’t want to die like this!” Dawn sobbed!

 

                “Heh…looks like this is how our story ends, eh?  Figures…that’s what I get for siding with you iditos…” Vanitas tried to joke, but wasn’t even able to bring himself to smile!  How could he, knowing they were at death’s door?  He closed his eyes and avoided crying…he didn’t want to accept this fate!  A part of his face was fading away, and he felt his mind slowly going blank…

 

                “At least we tried the best we could…in the end, that’s what matters…right?” Sora asked, his voice breaking!  He didn’t want to let down anyone, he wanted to believe that there was a way out of this, but as his heart grew weaker, he felt himself lose hope…

 

                “We gave it our all….we gave more than our all…we gave our hearts…to all of the people we love…” Kairi muttered, as she tried holding Sora’s hand, but both their hands had faded away, and they only wept as they couldn’t even hold each other in their last moments!

 

                “Oh Raxon!!!” Sky cried as he tried cuddling up to Raxon, but his small body was just about to fade away completely!  He cried, and Raxon put his forehead on the little moogle’s, and he let out tears of frustration!

 

                “This wasn’t how it was supposed to go!  You were supposed to have a second chance…you were supposed to live a happy life…not end up like this!  Damn it!” Raxon cursed as he sobbed, as he felt his body go numb and fade away!

 

                Ventus and Trish, who were closest to Kyle, attempted to hug him, but found that their bodies were almost practically gone, their bodies now only a blurry mist! Kyle turned around, and his eyes were filled to the brim with tears!

 

                “Mom…Dad…this can’t be how it ends!” Kyle cried!  Ventus and Trish reached out to Kyle, but couldn’t touch him.

 

                “We love you, son.” the two said in unison, tears rolling down their cheeks!  Everyone despaired, and they grieved for the fact that their lives had been taken, and now they were just instants away from fading away from existence entirely!

 

                “Fellas…we have to be proud…proud that we were able to do all in our power to stop Jexana!  Even though we failed…we did our best…we died trying….that’s what counts!” Mickey said, his voice breaking.  Minnie looked at everyone and cried as well…

 

                “I am so sorry!” Minnie said, lamenting for everyone’s fate!  Kyle closed his eyes, and even though he felt an intense surge of despair and sorrow and grief within him, he mustered all the strength he could to summon up a smile!  He looked at everyone, and he then prepared to say important words he had wanted everyone to know.

 

                “Everyone…I love you all!  Thank you for having been my family!” he cried!  Everyone felt their hearts break, but at the same time, they felt a bit at ease, for hearing those words was able to at least bring smiles to their faces…even though they faced death, they would die together, as a family…

                Suddenly, light pierced through the crimson, and everyone was startled by this!  For a moment, they thought it was Kingdom Hearts, ready to take them inside itself!  But after a few seconds, they saw an orb of light floating down until it reached at the center of where they were!  The orb then took form, and formed into a person….it was….

 

                “You!  You’re the child!  The Child from Kingdom Hearts!” Dawn said with a gasp!  Everyone remained silent, and indeed, the Child it was!  He looked at each and every one of them, and he had a white robe on him, radiating like the warmest of lights!  He looked at them and placed his hands behind his back.

 

                “You’ve all fought very hard.  You’ve given more than your share of strength…and yet here, at your deathbed, you still try to keep fighting.  All of you are truly admirable…I am truly impressed at your sheer willpower!” the Child said with a gentle tone.  Everyone remained in silence.

 

                “Jexana has gotten the better of you, though.  And it seems as though she’ll destroy everything…and when that happens, it’ll be difficult for Kingdom Hearts to restore the worlds and universes.  In fact, it’ll be near impossible.  Such destruction on a colossal scale had never been attempted, not even by Xehanort!  No, Jexana’s actions shall leave deep consequences upon all of existence.” the Child explained calmly.  Not bearing to have this fate come to pass, Kyle lifted his head, his eyes swollen up from the tears he’s shed!

 

                “I implore you!  Lend us your strength!  If we can work together to defeat Jexana, we can save all of existence from being wiped out!  I know we’re just about to fade away, but we can still lend you strength.  We can help each other!” Kyle proposed!  The Child remained silent for a bit, and then he smiled.

 

                “But you do realize that this end would be more fitting for all of you?  You die now, and you get to rest.  You defeat Jexana and get to live on, and it’ll only be a matter of time before the worlds are besieged by a new threat!  For you see, there will never be true peace.  True, peace may last a long time, but darkness always comes to alter the balance of peace.  Are you sure you want to continue your fight?” the Child askd in a serious tone.

 

                “Are you kidding?  Is that even a question?  Of course we want to continue!” Kairi answered!

 

                “She’s right!  Yes, we know that even if we defeat Jexana, that doesn’t mean that the evils that plague existence will end.  We know there’ll be more enemies to face down the line.  But as long as we can live and breathe, and as long as we can protect the people we care about, the worlds we’ve sworn to protect…I know we’ll have the strength to carry on!” Sora said, agreeing with Kairi!

 

                “It’s true…as long as we have the power in our hearts, the strength to protect the things that matter…we can deal with having to fight all our lives…” Riku said, his voice weakening!  The Child remained silent for a moment, pondering the words the Keyblade Wielders spoke.  He then looked at them and smiled.

 

                “And that’s why all of you were chosen.  The day the Keyblade chose each and every one of you, was the day that Kingdom Hearts deemed you worthy of being a protector of all existence!  Kingdom Hearts knew that you would be people of strong conviction and virtue.  And indeed, even upon facing death, you all hold true to your virtues.  That is most heartening.” the Child expressed. The Keyblade Wielders looked at the Child, and then, all of a sudden, they saw that the crimson surrounding them was disappearing completely!  It was giving way to the battlefield they had been battling Jexana!  Soon, they found that their bodies were being restored, their strength renewed!  They were being saved from the clutches of death!  When their bodies were completely restored, they felt revitalized!  The Child stood in front of them, and then turned his back on them and looked forward, where Jexana was, unaware that the Keyblade Wielders had not died!  She was heading towards Kingdom Hearts!

 

                “W-we’re alive!” Dawn muttered.

 

                “It’s a miracle!” Kairi said, and then, she felt a hand on her shoulder.  As she glanced over her shoulder, she noticed that Aqua was standing behind her, albeit in a spiritual form!  Her body was luminescent, tiny orbs of light radiating off her!

 

                “Guys…look!” Kairi said with a gasp!  When the Keyblade Wielders turned around, they saw Aqua, along with Terra, Roxas, Xion, Ethan, Gilgamesh, Dexeres, Tsumugi, Maleficent, Eraqus, Xehanort, and countless other people standing behind them, all luminescent, radiating little orbs of light!  It was a surreal moment that couldn’t be put into words!

 

                “W-what is this!?” Raxon asked, amazed by what he saw!

 

                “Those are the hearts and souls of the departed.  Friends you knew, and people who have passed on since the beginning of time itself.  People from many eras, from the first Keyblade War, from other conflicts.  All of them have been summoned by your claim.  We will lend you our strength to end this once and for all!” the Child proclaimed!  The Keyblade Wielders could speak no words, and were only shedding tears, as they were seeing their dear friends!  Dawn noticed Fred as well, and he smiled at her and gave a nod.  Dawn nodded back silently and cried into Riku’s shoulder!  Raxon saw the former King Of Atlantis, and he could feel goosebumps all over him!  Kyle was overwhelmed and so grateful, and then, he turned around and summoned forth his Key Of Balance!

 

                “Jexana!!!” he shouted!  Jexana, surprised, halted, and then she turned around, and when she did, she was taken aback by what she saw!

 

                “N-no…impossible!  How can this be!?  I killed you all!” Jexana exclaimed!  She could feel her heart pounding and her body trembling!

 

                “We told you we wouldn’t give up.  Not until we stop you once and for all!” Mickey shouted!

               

                “And now, this ends here!” Vanitas said.

 

                “No…no!!!” Jexana shouted, not believing what was happening!

 

                And so, the Keyblade Wielders summoned their Keyblades, and the spirits of their fallen friends also summoned their Keyblades, as did the millions upon millions of other spirits that had Keyblades.  All those that didn’t have Keyblades simply thrust their palms forward!  Slowly, they all began to channel a powerful and inexplicably powerful light that was channeling forth towards the Keyblade Wielders up front, forming a sphere of light that was slowly growing in size!

 

                “No!  I won’t accept this!” Jexana shouted, and with that, she summoned forth all the dark power she could muster, and she began launching powerful spells desperately, and sending shockwaves with the X-Blade!  But as the spells were nearing the Keyblade Wielders, the spirits of the fallen created an impenetrable barrier that prevented the Keyblade Wielders from being harmed!  And so, their power increased, and the sphere of light they were forming was growing in size! 

 

                “No!!!  Damn it, no!!!” Jexana shouted!  Now with desperate intent, she started to launch heaps upon heaps of dark bolts towards Kingdom Hearts in an effort to destroy it, but before the bolts could reach, they were dissipated by the power of the Keyblade Wielders!  She then found herself being bound by chains of light that were emanating from the spirits of theh fallen!  She was forced down, and as she glanced back, she saw the Keyblade Wielders emanating with an aura she had never seen before!  It was something truly surreal!  Soon, small chunks of rock and snow started to levítate in the air, due to the sheer raw power being charged by the Keyblade Wielders!

 

                Jexana attempted to struggle free once more, but was unable to do so.  She was now in quite a tight spot, and she found that this was where she would meet her end!

 

                “Light!!!” everyone shouted, and in three short seconds, they unleashed the sphere of light, which was now a colossal size, and as it went towards Jexana, it consumed her slowly, making her armor dissipate into nothingness!  She could feel the power of the light crushing her and destroying her!

 

                “No!!!!  No!!!!!!” she shouted in agonizing pain!  She tried to break free of her chains, but by the time she managed to free herself from one of the chains, her body had been consumed completely by the sphere of light!  When it consumed her, it seemed to distort, and then, it enveloped itself and imploded, then releasing an outward explosion of purifying light!  The explosion was so magnificent, that it resonated throughout the entirety of Kingdom Hearts, purging the sacred land from the darkness that was threatening it!  As the light spread, the sky began to clear up, the thunder stopped, and the darkness that was threatening to consume Kingdom Hearts was no more!  Soon, the land of Kingdom Hearts began restoring itself, little by little!  And Jexana was no more!

 

                Outside, the effects of the light could be felt, as they resonated throughout the Keyblade Graveyard!  The Heartless and Unborn trembled in fear, as they realized that the light had triumphed over the darkness!  Realizing that the war was now over for them, they started to turn tail and flee!  Lilith, Kosaku and the others pushed the enemy back and slaughtered as many as the could!  In a matter of minutes, all Heartless and Unborn that had been upon them had vanished!  Those that hadn’t been able to escape had either been decimated by Lilith and the others, or were obliterated by the light from Kingdom Hearts!  For a moment, Lilith and the others were in disbelief!  Then, one of Lilith’s Knights raised her arm up in victory, and cheered!

 

                “The demons have been felled!  We’ve won the day!” she shouted, and at that, everyone gave out a roaring cheer of victory!  Lilith still felt disbelief, and then she glanced back at the gate to Kingdom Hearts, and she smiled, half of relief and half of full on confidence.

 

                “That a girl, Kairi.  I knew you’d pull through.  You had me worried, though!” she thought to herself.  Alaya looked towards the gate and felt an immense sense of relief wash over her!

 

                “It is done.  Victory has been achieved!  We have won!” she stated!  Yen Sid and Pete both nodded and were relieved, and the surviving Dandelions and everyone else celebrated, for the worlds and universes had been saved!

                Back inside Kingdom Hearts, the Keyblade Wielders still couldn’t believe that they had actually won!  They were speechless, and then Sora knelt to the ground, and he smiled and let out a shout of joy!

 

                “Yeah, we won!!!!” Sora shouted!  At that, the other Keyblade Wielders seemed to have snapped back to reality, and they too reacted accordingly.  With shock, joy, and tears of happiness!  They had managed the impossible!  The Child of Kingdom Hearts, along with the spirits of the fallen, smiled, and they felt content that things were settled now.  Kairi looked at the Child and at their departed friends, and she nodded with a smile.

 

                “Thank you.  If it weren’t for you, this wouldn’t have been possible!” Kairi said as she bowed in appreciation!  The other Keyblade Wielders bowed as well, and then Aqua stepped forward and giggled slightly.

                “Oh, come on, there’s no need for formalities.  We’re friends, after all!  It’s the least we could do.” she said, as she put her hand on Kairi’s shoulder.  Kairi looked up at her and couldn’t help but cry.

 

                “You all gave everything you had, and we knew that by lending you our strength, we’d be able to finish this, together.” Terra added, as he stood by Aqua.

 

                “And now the war is over, and peace can come anew.” Roxas said, with Xion by his side.

 

                “But…we won’t see any of you again, will we…?” Vanitas asked, then landing everyone back to the cold reality that once they got out of Kingdom Hearts, they wouldn’t see their friends again…

 

                “Fear not, good friend Vanitas!  So long as all of you always think of us, we shall always remain alive and well in all of your hearts!  We will always live on in you!” Gilgamesh answered.

 

                “Whenever all of you are lost, we’ll be there to guide you.  We’ll always be there.” Ethan added, as he looked at Trish, who was crying into Ventus’ shoulder.

 

                “For this isn’t goodbye.  Think of it as…so long.  We’ll end up meeting each other again.” Dexeres consoled. 

 

                “And we’ll be waiting for you!” Tsumugi replied!

 

                “We’ll be ready to greet you when the time comes!” Xion said with a smile!  At that point, the Keyblade Wielders were in tears!  It was true, their friends would always live on in their hearts, but it still didn’t mean they wouldn’t miss them!  But they knew that they’d always be alive inside them, and so, they smiled, even though the tears kept rolling.  They were at peace, as were their fallen friends.

 

                “Well.  I believe it’s time to go now.” the Child mentioned.  The others nodded. And so, they remained there in silence, looking at the Keyblade Wielders as they looked at them.  Kyle stepped forward, witch clenched fists, but with a smile on his face.

 

                “Go…” he said.

 

                And so, one by one, each spirit began to fade away into tiny orbs of light!  All the lives that had been lost from so many ages past, returning to Kingdom Hearts!  The Keyblade Wielders saw them all go, until at last, it was time for their fallen friends to take their leave as well.  And with a fond wave of their hands, the fallen left their friends with smiles on their faces. They became orbs of light, and went back to Kingdom Hearts!  The Keyblade Wielders felt an immense sense of relief, because at least now they knew that their friends would rest in peace!

                “Well everyone, it’s time to head back to the outside world!” Mickey notioned, and the others agreed.  As they were about to bid farewell to the Child, Ventus started to scream all of a sudden!

 

                “Gyahhhh!!!” he shouted, as he knelt on the ground and held his head with both hands, his mind going blank!

 

                “Dad!!!” Kyle shouted!

 

                “Ventus, what’s going on!?” Vanitas exclaimed!  As they all approached to help him, the Child waved his arm forward and halted everyone.  He slowly shook his head.

 

                “One final word before the departure, it seems.” the Child mentioned.  The Keyblade Wielders were confused, but as they saw a tiny orb of darkness float near Ventus, they realized that it was Jexana!

 

                “She’s still alive!  We have to get her!” Sora shouted!  The Child again shook his head.

 

                “No, she’s harmless now.  Let her speak what she wants to speak with Ventus…” he said. The others then calmed down, and Jexana entered into Ventus’ heart, and soon after, he fell unconscious!

 

                A few seconds later, Ventus awoke, but he found that he wasn’t really awake!  He was inside his Station Of Awakening!  It was an emerald green color, with his image dotting most of his station, and fragments of his life’s story, including an image of Trish and Kyle!  He looked around, and then, at the far side of his Station, he saw her.  Jexana.  Except that now, she looked entirely different!  She seemed harmless, and appeared to have a lively image!  She was clad in a black dress, and her eyes gleamed a bright yellow, complimenting her dark golden hair.

                “It looks like there’s still something you want to tell me…Irene.” Ventus said.  A long silence loomed between them.  And then Jexana, or rather, Irene, clasped her hands together, and she looked down.

 

                “Yes…before I fade away completely…I need you to know why I did everything that I did.  I know that I’ve done unforgivable things…but I need you to know how I feel…” she said.  Ventus nodded.

 

                “Okay…tell me.” he replied.  Irene then looked up at the blackness of Ven’s consciousness, and then she looked at him.

 

                “I remember it like it was yesterday…the day that I died.  I remember the Darkside consuming me, and I remember you, with your face, full of shock and fear, as the Darkside ended my life.  All I could feel at that moment was fear and sorrow.  I felt my life being chipped away as the darkness swallowed me whole.  After that, my mind went blank.  I didn’t know what happened after that, only that all of a sudden, I awoke, and found myself in pitch black darkness.  I was afraid…I didn’t even know what had become of my heart…was I simply non-existent?” she asked to herself,as she clenched her hand on her chest.  “Then, when everything seemed the most dark, I found a ray of light that was shining towards me…I went towards it, and before I knew it, I was cast back into the Realm Of Light!  I was overwhelmed, and at the time, I didn’t know what happened to me!  But then, shortly after, I saw the man who had brought me back.  Xylek…” she said, and let her words stop for a moment so Ventus could take it all in.

 

                “I see…so that explains it.” Ventus replied.  Irene nodded.

 

                “Yes.  He brought me back, but at that point, I didn’t even know what I was doing,  or where I was.  All I knew is that Xylek helped me, he said that he needed me for a special purpose, and that if I were to help him, he’d help me find you…and the thought of finding you was such a big focus on my mind, that I had to take him up on his offer!  And so, Xylek gave me new purpose, and he breathed life into me, so to speak.  He gave me power, and he gave me the strength I needed to carry out his wishes. I operated in the background, carrying out missions with the ones I called my comrades.  I grew in power and strength, and when I found you, that changed everything…” she said, and then she remained silent for a moment.

 

                “When I found you, I knew that I had to have you close to me…I wanted to grow in power, and I wanted to keep going on Xylek’s quest, and I wanted you to be with me till the end…and I wanted you for myself, so that we would be by each other’s side in the end.  When all of you killed Xylek, that’s when I fully entered into the fray…” she said.

 

                “So you continued what Xylek had started…” Ventus said.

 

                “No…I decided for something much bigger.  Or rather, more personal.  Whereas Xylek desired power over infinity, I had no desire for such trivial things.  I didn’t want to have dominion over everything.  I only followed his lead, but when he died, it gave me the chance to steer things in my direction!  And that’s when I decided I would claim the power of Kingdom Hearts…” she said.

 

                “But why?  What could you hope to gain by gaining the power of Kingdom Hearts?” Ventus asked.  Irene’s face darkened, and she turned away somewhat, and then glanced upward into emptiness.

 

                “A fresh start.” she answered.

 

                “Huh?  What do you mean by that?” Ventus asked.  Irene then looked at him.

 

                “I wanted for everything to begin anew…a chance for us to meet again, to start over, from when we were children.  I knew that I couldn’t attempt time travel, because even then, I couldn’t have been able to rewrite what had already been destined to happen.  No…and that’s why I decided to bring about an apocalypse.  One that would bring and end to everything, and then everything would start anew.” she explained.

 

                “But that’s not possible!  And how would you have been so sure that everything would begin again?” Ventus asked.

 

                “Because Kingdom Hearts is life…even when everything is destroyed, the power of Kingdom Hearts brings back that which was lost…but mostly in a different form altogether…in short, everything would’ve ended, but Kingdom Hearts being the source of all life, would have restored the worlds and universes, in a new, literal fresh start.  I knew that we’d never be able to go back to how we were…so I wanted us to meet again…perhaps under different guises, but our hearts would know…but well, now it seems that my dream has ended…” she said, as she fell into silence.  Ventus felt horrid after hearing her explanation, but he understood her pain.  He sighed lightly and looked at her.

 

                “You did unforgivable things…so many of our friends died because of you…I should hate you…but I can’t…I just can’t!” he proclaimed!  “Irene, attempting what you were trying to do was something that no one could have known the consequences of!  Sure, Kingdom Hearts might have brought everything back, but what if it didn’t!  Then you would’ve destroyed everything for nothing!  And plus, you would’ve killed so many people, so many lives would have been ceased from existence! You shouldn’t have done all of this…you would’ve caused so much more pain, so much more suffering! We had to stop you…” he said.

 

                “I know you did…and you have…but that doesn’t mean that I’m okay with it.  To me, it’s not fair…it’s not fair that I never got you back…that I never got to have my wish fulfilled…it will never be fair to me…” Irene said, her voice breaking.  Then, she slowly started to fade away.

 

                “Irene!” Ventus reached out!  “...I guess this is goodbye…” he muttered.  Irene nodded, as she put her hands to her chest.

 

                “Yes…this is the end…I just hope you can find it in your heart, to forgive me someday…” she whispered, tears in her eyes.  A long silence brewed between them, and then, Ventus looked at Irene and held her hand.

 

                “I forgive you…and I’m sorry that things had to end this way…” he said.  At that, Irene seemed to have felt a sort of relief, and she gave out a calm sigh.  As she held his hand, she noticed the bracelet she’d given him so long ago!

 

                “You still have it, I see.  I hadn’t noticed…” Irene said, looking at the bracelet.

 

                “It’s what I have to remember you by, to remember my past life, all the things I’ve endured…so you won’t be forgotten, Irene.” Ventus reassured.  Irene smiled.

 

                “That’s good…I’m so happy!  Ventus….I feel so cold…and empty…” she said weakly, as she let go of Ventus, and he looked down grimly.

 

                “I love you…” she whispered.  Ventus then looked up, with tears in his eyes.

 

                “And I, you.  You’ll always be my first love.  Goodbye, Irene…” he said.  And with those words uttered, Irene seemed to have truly come to peace with herself, and she cried, and her tears faded into nothingness!

 

                “Goodbye…” she whispered, and with that, she faded from existence, and as Ventus closed his eyes, he found that he was now actually awake, and all his loved ones were gathered around him!  He sat up, and Kyle and Trish quickly went to him and embraced him!

 

                “Dad, you had us worried!” Kyle exclaimed!

 

                “Ventus, we were all so scared!” Trish said as she kissed his lips!  Ventus smiled and held them both close, and then he looked forward, and the Child of Kingdom Hearts was there, his hands behind his back.

 

                “So, everything is settled, I assume?” he asked.  Ventus nodded.

 

                “Yeah…it’s all good.  It’s over now.” he answered.

 

                “Good.  Now then, I bid you all farewell…know that once all of you leave, I shall cast a barrier, one so that no one ever steps foot in here again, with the exception if you have passed on from the Realm Of Light.  Other than your passing, no one is to set foot here.  Understood?” the Child asked.  Everyone nodded.

 

                “Yes.” they said in unison.  The Child then cast his hands forward, and drew Kyle, Dawn and Kairi’s Keys Of Balance and then used them as pillars for the barrier he was about to create.  And one by one, everyone started to leave, until Kyle was the only one standing.  He glanced back at the child and nodded.  The Child did the same, and then, once Kyle step foot onto the outside world, the gate to Kingdom Hearts disappeared, and the Child cast a powerful barrier, therefore ensuring that no one would ever step foot inside again!

                The Keyblade Wielders then saw Lilith, Kosaku, Alaya, Yen Sid, Pete, and everyone else!  They were all gathered together, and they all had smiles on their faces!  They looked tired, exhausted, drained from all the fighting, but their smiles shone through!

 

                “It is done.  We have saved the worlds and the univeres!” Alaya said.  Kyle nodded, and he looked at his friends, and then he looked upward at the sky, and he noticed that it was now a clear blue!  Then, when he looked around, he saw that the Keyblade Graveyard was changing!  The Keyblades stabbed onto the ground were dissipating into light, flowing upwards toward the sky!  And as the Keyblades disappeared, life began to spring back!  Grassy fields were now stretching toward the horizon!  As the land continued to be restored, they all saw a giant sort of tombstone, and then something was carved into it!

 

“A tribute to those who have fallen.”

 

                “I get it…this grassy field…the Keyblade Graveyard being washed away, becoming this beautiful place…it’s a tribute to all those who’ve passed on…a small view of what waits for them beyond…” Vanitas said.  Everyone remained silent, and they saw as the millions of orbs of light dotted the sky!  Kyle closed his eyes and smiled.  He then opened his eyes and gave out a satisfied sigh!

 

                “This is a new beginning!”

Well everyone, that was the conclusion to the story!  Dang, I worked on this final chapter for quite a while!  But wow, I still can’t believe I’ve actually finished this trilogy!  What began in 2011 has now ended today, September 30th of 2016!  And well, honestly, I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for accompanying me on this emotional journey!  It’s been quite a ride, and I’m proud that I was able to create something that everyone loved!  I’m proud I was able to impact many people with this trilogy, and most of all, I’m happy because I was able to write an epic story about the video game series I love to death so much, Kingdom Hearts!

 

I want to thank you all, especially members such as KHLegendIII, (Thanks for all the help and suggestions for the trilogy!) Keyblade101, KingdomHearts3, Kirie, MasterNahi, and so many others for having joined me on this journey and stayed with me all the way!  And I thank you in general for following not just these stories, but my non-KH stories as well!  I love you all, and I thank you for all the support and praise you’ve given me over the years!

 

And well, I guess I just want to say that I’m really happy that I didn’t leave this huge story in a cliffhanger, and that I was able to write my vision completely!  And I think this is the story that took the most pages for me to complete!  Lol, believe it or not, but this final installment of the Keyblade War trilogy took 661 pages of Microsoft Word!  That’s right, that many!  I don’t think the other two installments had that many pages! X3

 

But yeah, now that I’ve finished here, I’m going to take a long and well deserved break from writing, but that doesn’t mean I won’t stop writing for good!  No, I’ll definitely be back with more stories, but for now, I really want to give myself a rest, ya know?  But rest assured, you’ll be seeing more stories in the near future from me!  Haha, so then, until next time, see ya everyone!

Wow... what an unbelievable and heartfelt ending. I like what you did with the Keyblade Graveyard. I guess that is the resolve the many warriors from the first Keyblade War have felt and now the Keyblade Graveyard became a fresh new world with a memorial. Bravo for all the work you have done. I can't believe that we have made it to the end. Now it's time to put it all away into the KH13 archive of Creative Media. Great stories that members like you have written. I hope that my current works can hold a candle to your five years worth. You deserve a nice long break. Well done.

To KingdomHearts3, indeed, I felt that the ending needed to be something heartfelt and satisfying, ya know?  And I thought that the Keyblade Graveyard becoming a flourished world was something that the people who all suffered and died in the first Keyblade War and beyond deserved.  Now it's a place of tranquility and of remembrance, instead of grim memories of despair, ya know?  Haha, and yeah, now it's all over!  Five years of hard work, all culminated, thanks to God for allowing me to have written the story in its entirety, and thanks to every single one of you who gave me support all these years, ya know?  Haha, and brother, I'm sure your stories will also reach heights of which you'll soar high, ya know?  And yes, I'm gonna rest for a while, cuz I'm pooped!

A Healing Hand

                Ten years have passed since the Keyblade Wielders faced Jexana and ended the threat that would have destroyed all of existence!  In these ten long years, peace has come and washed over all worlds and universes, bringing about an era of true peace and tranquility, one that was justly earned! While all the worlds that had been swallowed by the darkness during the war could not return, Alaya proveyed sanctuary to all the homeless people that had no worlds to turn to!  And in turn, the people gratefully repaid her kindness, even though she insisted it was alright!  She, along with Pete, Yen Sid, Kosaku and Lilith, were searching for new homes for the homeless ,so they could be able to live out happy lives! Alaya looked upward towards the sky.  The sun was shining bright, and sweat was rolling down her brow.  She smiled and then looked at her friends, and they all nodded in unison.  They had work to do!

 

A Kingdom Reborn

                During all this time, Mickey and Minnie, along with Donald and Goofy, returned to the ruins of their old home, along with Daisy and the other inhabitants, and with time, they took to rebuilding their once glistening kingdom!   It took hard work, and it was no easy task, but thanks to the Keyblade Wielders helping out, Mickey and Minnie were able to see their home restored again!  After the kingdom had been restructured, the town was full of people, all with smiles on their faces!  Not just the townsfolk, but people from other worlds were visiting as well, taking in the sights!  Goofy was leading a squad of knights towards the town square, and his son Max was tagging along  behind him, fully suited and ready to serve as a Knight as well! Donald, in the meantime, was having a tough time trying to make the magical brooms obey him!  Mickey and Minnie laughed, and they looked at each other and held each other’s hands.  After all the fighting, peace had finally been attained.  And it’s one they’d hope would last forever!

 

New Horizons

                A strong gust of wind was picking up on what seemed to be a desert!  A sandstorm would be kicking up soon!  The gusts only became stronger, and soon, someone could be seen running along the sand dunes! A little further ahead, the person stopped, and then turned around and waved their hand!

 

                “Hey!  Wait up!” Riku shouted, who seemed to be far behind!

 

                “Pfft, you people are such slowpokes!  Come on, we have to get to the other side of this desert if we want to find that village!” Vanitas said, as he then turned around anew and kept running forward!  Riku tried to keep up, but panted and shook his head.

 

                “I swear, why did we agree to come with him again?” he asked aloud.

 

                “Because he wants to see the sights! Ha, are you becoming tired, old man?” Dawn teased with a smirk.  Her hair was shorter now, and it made her look quite adorable!  Riku scoffed and ran a hand through his scruffy hair, which was slightly longer now.

 

                “Old man?  Now that’s an insult!  Alright, you’re on!  Last one to get to Vanitas eats sand!” Riku said, as he darted towards Vanitas!  Dawn laughed and shook her head and ran behind him!

 

                “You’re such a kid!” she shouted!  They both laughed, and Vanitas, who was further ahead of them, smirked.

 

                “Pfft, these idiots.” he thought, but then shook his head.  “Wouldn’t have ‘em any other way.” he assured himself.

 

A Happy Family

                The sun was shining bright upon Radiant Garden.  On the outskirts of the city, upon a beautiful meadow surrounded by dense forests, many familes were gathered, having picnics and celebrating birthdays or anniversaries and whatnot!  There was a lake by the side of the forest, and Raxon had sat on a bench, seeing if he could fish for a prize!  Sky was hovering above the water, trying to spot any fish for Raxon to catch!

 

                Kyle, on the other hand, was under the shade of a giant tree, and he was holding hands with someone!

 

                “So, do you feel okay?” he asked.  The woman who was with him, who turned out to be Elina, a Dandelion, smiled.

 

                “I told you Kyle, I’m fine!” she answered with a smile!  Kyle blushed.

 

                “Hey, just wanted to make sure!” he said in defense!  Elina giggled.

 

                “I know, I know!” she replied.  “I mean, after all, we Dandelions were destined to fade away after the war was over…but thanks to the Child of Kingdom Hearts, we were able to remain in the Realm Of Light, to live the lives we hadn’t been able to.  And I’m really happy we who survived got this chance.  I’m really happy that I’ve been able to see the world, to experience so many things!  Thank you so much, Kyle, for being there for me!” she said shyly.  Kyle chuckled.

 

                “Hey, that’s what I’m here for.  I love you.” he said.  She smiled at him.

 

                “I love you too.” she tenderly replied, and they kissed lovingly under the tree.  Then, they heard what seemed to be childish giggling!  They then glanced behind the tree they were standing under, and saw two pairs of glimmering eyes!

 

                “Hmm, I wonder who’s there…?” Kyle asked sarcastically.  One of the children giggled and squealed in excitement!

                               

                “Eek, he’s onto us!  Make a run for it!” one of them said, who sounded like a little boy.

 

                “Haha, run!!!” the other voice said, sounding like that of a little girl’s!

 

                “Kibo, Yume, I’m gonna getcha!!!” Kyle said as he then extended his arms like a dinosaur and roared, making the two children squeal in delight and make a run for it!  Kyle stopped for a moment and looked at Elina and smiled. He then walked towards her and held her hand.

 

                “This is a beginning we all needed.  One that we’d be able to enjoy.  One we’d be able to live in. And I’m glad things turned out okay.” he said.  Elina nodded.

 

                “Yeah, that’s right!” she replied!  She then looked past Kyle’s shoulder and pointed forward!  “Oh, look!”

 

                Kyle then turned around, and saw a little girl, probably about the same age as Kibo and Yume, who was running straight towards Kyle, and then she stopped just a short distance away from him!  She almost tripped, but managed to balance herself and ensure she didn’t fall!  She then tilted her and pointed at Kyle.

 

                “Big bwother, mommy and daddy are gonna start eating without us!” the little girl exclaimed!  Kyle then knelt till he was head to head with the little girl and smiled.

 

                “Uh oh, that’s terrible!  We can’t have that, am I right?” Kyle asked.

 

                “Nuh uh!” the little girl  agreed.

 

                “Well, then let’s go before they eat up our dinner, Irene! I’ll race ya!” he said.  Irene nodded and had a determined face!

 

                “You’re on!” she replied!  Kyle then glanced back at Elina.

 

                “Will you do the honors?” he asked.  Elina bowed.

 

                “Gladly!” she replied, and then she raised her hand!  “On your marks.  Get set….go!” she shouted as she waved down her hand, and Kyle and Irene began to race towards Ventus and Trish, and Elina ran behind them, along with Kibo and Yume!  They all laughed along the way, and within a few minutes, they were at a small opening in the meadow, where Sora, Kairi, Ventus and Trish were, just about to start eating!

 

                “About time you showed up, guys! Come on, let’s eat!” Sora said!  Raxon and Sky soon came after, and sat down with the others.

 

                “Well, let’s dig in, shall we?” Ventus asked, and so, everyone sat down to eat, as they enjoyed their picnic together!

 

                This peace had been worth all the pain, all the suffering.  It was all worthwhile!

Ah yes, the Mysterious Figure!  Back then, KH3D hadn't come out yet, so no, he's not Young Xehanort, if that's what you were wondering!  I took advantage of no one knowing who the Mysterious Figure was and put him as a wild card of sorts in Chapter I, ya know?  As for who he really is, we might never know...

Indeed, that was the case!  I actually had thought of bringing him back for either Chaotic Twilight or Beauty Of Apocalypse, but when I was writing those stories, I found that he was unnecessary, and that he had fulfilled his role in Chapter I, ya know?

What an AMAZING ending!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! I absolutely loved the final chapter and the epilogue!!! Thank you for such an amazing story and a well-deserved happy ending!!!
