August 9, 201510 yr It's been confirmed that US will get two versions. Whether Europe will or not, I have no idea. But if they do get the chance to buy only one version, I feel like it'll be the digital version, where you'll make your choice then be locked into only playing that version, and if you wanna play the other paths, you'll have to buy them from the e-shop. Those are just what I think will happen.
August 9, 201510 yr Author Well, there's now a another reason to not buy fates. Weren't you the one complaining why it has two versions? And now it has one you're gonna complain about it being one? Edited August 10, 201510 yr by Flaming Lea
August 9, 201510 yr they already confirmed about having two versions, but i wouldn't mind having just one.
August 9, 201510 yr If it's the special edition where it is both paths on one cart with none of that permanent lock BS, I'll be super jealous. If it works like the digital version, perma-locking the path you don't chose, then I suppose the US dodged a bullet. I'd rather just buy both separately at that point, cause then I at least get the two different box arts. Luckily, I've heard that each side does indeed have enough content (most of it unique) to constitute a full game, so that's good. Doesn't make me happy about the version split, but at least softens the blow a little.
August 9, 201510 yr Weren't you the one complaining why it has two versions? And now it has one you're gonna complain about it being one? I'm not complaining about the versions. I simply dislike the marriage/pairup stuff in fates. Edited August 10, 201510 yr by Flaming Lea
August 9, 201510 yr I'm not bitching about the versions. I simply dislike the marriage/pairup stuff in fates. It's not the first time it happened. It was in Awakening too.
August 9, 201510 yr It's not the first time it happened. It was in Awakening too. And before Awakening, if say you think that Awakening wasn't good because it wasn't as Fire Emblem-y as the others, the marriage/children system was in FE 4
August 9, 201510 yr ugh. This whole perma-lock business is BS. Who knew that FE would turn into something like Pokemon? Yes I know it differs and there's more unique content but honestly.
August 10, 201510 yr I think as Disgust mentioned it has been confirmed that the U.S. will receive both versions. I'm guessing that most locations will receive both because it'll be more profitable for Nintendo, but I also don't think it will cost very much to create both versions to begin with. Personally I wouldn't mind it if we only had just one since I'm not too psyched about having to buy two separate games at full price just to get both sides of the story. It would be nice if the second side was DLC and a fraction of the game's original price.
