First off, Disney just cannot stop naming their movies out of regular words, first Tangled, then Frozen, Zootopia to an extent, and now Gigantic.

Second,LOOK AT THIS CONCEPT ART!!!

HOLY JESUS ITS FREAKING FANTASTIC!

Considering how the Disney movies have been tackling their fairy-tale based stories as of late, and by that I mean completely changing their stories, I can not imagine how they are gonna tackle Jack and the Beanstalk.

From the image alone we can already tell that these two are gonna have some sort of relationship, whether its gonna be a "equal" relationship is a different story, and considering her size I imagine that not being the case.

Also from the image we can also tell that despite her size, the giant appears to be a young girl, her face doesnt show any mature traits of a grown women, but instead a young girl, by human standards she looks like that of an 11 year old.

 

I could have never imagined that I be excited for anything related to Jack and the Beanstalk, considering that its one of the more boring fairytales, but looking at this image it seems that they are putting a huge twist on the story and Im freaking sold.God, I can only imagine how big this movie is gonna be(no pun intended).

Disney has been on a good roll of late and I'm rather interested to see how they do their take on Jack And The Beanstalk. This also appears to continue their current cartoon trend of not making a romantic relationship the primary relationship of the film, and I'm all for that.

I believe that Disney has stated that the girl is indeed 11 years old. This movie has been rumored for years, and one of the consistent rumors is that Jack has a love interest, but not a princess, she is just a little higher standing. So if Jack is lower class (which he typically is), then his love interest is just a well off middle class woman.I like everything I've heard about this film so far, but I most enjoy that it is different from the Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and the Beanstalk story from the Fun & Fancy Free movie. This gives me hope that we may still see the Fun & Fancy Free version depicted in the Kingdom Hearts series, hopefully in the third entry.This is coming in 2018, so it is way too late to join Kingdom Hearts III, but still, I can't wait! :DUPDATE: I just found this video. From the promotional concept art, it seems as though she looks like Riley with brown eyes. For an 11 year old, some of the concept art does seem to make her look slightly older. I like what I see so far: it seems far better than I imagined it to be. The original plot was far too convoluted for a reimagining of Jack and The Beanstalk with a supposed "Love Triangle". Having the Frozen songwriter is this movies saving grace so far, heck, I wouldn't be surprised if this movie outperforms Frozen.

I always wondered when Disney would tackle Jack And The Beanstalk! (I know there was a Mickey, Donald and Goofy version, but I mean like a non-animal version, ya know?) Disney is really on a roll lately with their Animated Classics, and it seems Gigantic could be another candidate for a great film! Now we just have to wait till it comes out!
