So, Land of Dragons I'll admit wasn't my favorite world in Kingdom Hearts II, but after re-watching Mulan, (Thank you Netflix!) I forgot how beautiful and scenic the movie was and fell in love all over again with the movie. Leading me to write why I think it should return...We didn't get to see the best of it. With the old maps not returning, it would be perfect as a redo for Kingdom Hearts 3. I think what left me slightly unimpressed with Land of Dragons, was that it just felt bland to me. There's so many vivid pinks and blues and textures missing that we're in the movie. With the exception of the snow mountains and the palace. Even at the palace though it was empty. When you watch Mulan and she watched from the snow mountain down at the city, it's lit up stunningly in the distance. I think with the graphics and technology made available for Kingdom Heart 3, Land of Dragons would have a perfect shot at really capturing the movie. There's plenty of areas to use as well, including:
-Mulan's family property
-Mulan's Town
-The Great Wall (would look AMAZING and you can connect it to the mountains and the rocky area where the Huns ambushed the imperial scouts in the beginning.)
-There's a HUGE expanse of farmland and countryside that they traversed in the movie, (See "A Girl Worth Fighting For")
With the open world feature being used, I think it'll really make this a fun world to revisit. We also never got to see the rest of the Hun army, so they could be brought in along with Shan Yu if they just needed a new storyline. I'd rather they don't bring in a storyline from the sequel if they decided to make it a returning world, but they could take aspects of it, like Mulan's struggle to find unity with General Shang...Just without the princesses maybe? They could have the beginning start out with Shang proposing to Mulan and then Shang could be kidnaped by Shan Yu ect. Something along those lines. What would you like to see if it's brought back?
