---Does that mean there are other Keyblade masters?

Nomura: Well, there are other Keyblade masters, but coincidentally for now, Kairi happened to arrive to the world Riku and Sora are in. — KH1 Ultimania

Nomura already had the "multiple keyblade wielders" thing.

Nomura already had the "multiple keyblade wielders" thing.

So even in the beginning: Keyblades weren't exclusive to one person at a time?

Good. X3 A little fed up of seeing people say: "Oh, so many people have Keyblades, they're not special anymore!" or "They're just giving 'em away!". >.>

Well if that's the case, then they've always been "giving them away". xP

I thought that was obvious. For the majority of KHI, there was no implication that there were any others until Mickey showed his. (The Keyblade to People's Hearts, though, is a pretty good clue that other Keyblades existed) It's obvious by the ending cutscene (as well as the secret ending) that Nomura always intended to expand on the mythology, but he didn't want to lay all his cards on the table immediately.

Doesn't really surprise me. Mostly because I'm in the camp that doesn't care how many people there are with Keyblades. Keyblades are awesome.
