Oh my bad/shot We all know that North Korea is the symbol of epic fail when it comes to NATO. One of my friends said North Korea was the strongest country in the world and everyone nearby burst into laughter.

North Korea really isn't the problem, the Chinese are sympathetic towards North Korea. While they are beginning to stray away from NK. There is an slight chance they may join a war on the side of NK.Or they would secretly supply NK with weapons, intelligence, soldiers, etc.

yeah, dont expect north korea to be on their own, nor would anyone resort to nukes. at least, the states would try their best not to. the us doesnt just charge in and nuke every country they're having a war with lmao.

That's true. We'd only nuke in retaliation to a nuclear strike. But we really don't have to worry about nukes. We have missiles, electronics (jamming) and yes even lasers to shoot down nuclear missiles before they are even a threat. The Air Born Laser program has been successful. Look it up if you don't believe me lol.

Off-Topic: Question: We have LASARS? I thought those were just in Star Wars and all that.

On-Topic: It probably wouldn't be good if we went to war with them, though. China helping would be bad. And they know we're a bunch stronger, so they'd probably try to blow the U.S. up with missles and all of that.

Not exactly a laser but uses electricity to propel projectiles at extremely high speeds. The final project should be able to shoot a projectile at Mach 10 out too 250 miles.

 

 

 

On topic: Yes war with them would not be easy. Like I said China is what we should be worried about in a war against NK. In the Korean war we almost captured all of NK. Then the Chinese hoped in and pushed us all the way back to the end of South Korea until we fought and ended the war with the same borders before the war. I'm not worried about nukes but the Chinese has one of the largest armies in the world. While we have better technology and training the amount of soldiers would be too much for our troops to handle and we would easily be surrounded. It would be like trying to stop a tsunami with a wine glass.

We can't use nukes to pwn North Korea, nor do we need to. Countries nearby that could be affected by the deadly fallout:

 

China, semi-ally

Japan, significant ally

South Korea, significant ally

Russia, getting close to being a significant ally

 

We have huge, huge economic ties with China. They go on NK's side, their economy could very well get horrible.

And if NK did a non-nuclear attack on the United States or anywhere else, like something similar to 9/11 or Pearl Harbor, there would be hell to pay.

We'd only nuke in retaliation to being nuked which I said is unlike due to all the anti- missile weapons we have and the fact they can only get a missile with enough range to fly to Japan. If we were to be using nukes, they wouldn't be enormous monstrosities that could easily wipe out a country. They would be smaller and more contained tactical nuclear weapons with a fire ball no larger than 500 yard, fallout no further than 20miles and pressure waves no further than 100 miles. These smaller nukes can effectively screw up NK and keep the surrounding areas safe. Honestly there is no threat of America ever coming under attack by NK. We should be worried about NK attacking SK. And ever since a north Korean ship torpedoed a south Korean ship a few months ago. The US military has been running war drills with South Korea 24/7.

 

We must also remember that South Korea and North Korea are still officially at war. They just have had a cease fire for over 50 years but haven't signed any peace declarations. However if the time for war comes, one side could simply attack the other.

We wouldn't nuke. Fallout is extremely, extremely dangerous. IIRC Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still to this day dealing with the effects of it.

 

 

As for the image.. I'm a little dubious. North Korea #4, and Russia is nowhere on the list? France is #5 IIRC, so that's put Russia in the top 5 for sure.

Hiroshima was actually rather big. I'm talking about really tiny nukes. Like the Davy Crockett recoil-less nuclear rifle. They can wipe out entire army battalions if well placed yet leave the surrounding areas fairly safe. Fallout is an issue of course but which do you think would cause more radiation, a Davy Crockett with a blast of 10 tons of TNT or a Fat Man with 21 kilotons?

 

Like I said, nukes are highly unlikely but if they were to be used, they would be small and well contained.

Regardless, nuclear weapons should not be used unless extremely necessary.
