The next best thing to having your own keyblade..

Posted

The PS4. A very awesome and fabulous console. The Xbox One, not bad. What do they have in common? Cameras, with special features and stuff. Not gonna get into the technicals. I am currently building my own keyblade and I thought of how cool it would look to actually summon it, use a spell or summon someone. Then I realised, that it can't be real. Unless you got that imagination rolling

The Playroom on PS4 is an augmented reality kind of mini game, and I thought that if SE had time on their hands until the release date for KH3, they could design a minigame where you get to wield a keyblade in your living room, using the Playstation Camera to track you and use your living room and stuff. Granted, you do need the camera, but the minigame is not essential to the story and whatnot. As you get more keyblades, storywise, you can use more in your "sandbox", of sorts.

Xbox can have the same thing, only with the Kinect. Seems like a great idea. What do you think?

Is having your own Kairi?

Oh...

OT: Well, you don't need that really. They can just make a KH game for the oculus rift. Great, now not only do you own a Keyblade, not only can you cast fireballs, but you can jump around like crazy high and stuff.

That just made me laugh like a gorilla. I thank ye for that. But the augmented reality could make for a fun minigame. Imagine fake keyblade duels with your bro/homies/dad/mom/chicken/dog/Snake/Nomura. FABULOUS!

ah yes, flailing your arms around at things that aren't really there would surely improve the KH series. you could always photoshop a keyblade into your hands and get just as much enjoyment.

i mean lets think about it. the first time you boot up the game and you do whatever little hand gesture is needed for summoning a keyblade, it's a pretty cool trick. but then the trick gets old and i don't think mini-games can make it interesting again. You're just gonna be waving your hands around at nothing.

Is being friends with a Digimon who can wield a keyblade?! I am SO in!

Just kidding. (Or am I?!)

Seriously though, that would be pretty good if they pulled that off! "Finally, my very own keyblade. My very own Augmented Reality Keyblade!"

Eh... sound's cool I guess but I don't know if anybody could really pull it off. The only motion/camera control stuff I've tried has been the Wii/U and I haven't really ever heard too many great things about the kinect or this PS4 thingyy. In fact this is the first time I've heard of the 'Playroom'.

Looks like it might get old kinda fast too... Hmm...

I guess I can just pretend my wooden Oathkeeper is real for now.  0/*

Summoning my own Keyblade...damn, that'd be cool!  If Square added that little gimmick for the consoles, I'd be all up for it! :D

Having a VR keyblade that can summon Simba and use spells like Weedaga is better than waving that wooden keyblade you got in the shed. Besides, cool effects ;D
