"...mie..."

"...Jay......mie..."

"Jaymie!"

Jaymie Ray woke up with a start, sitting up and placing a hand on her helmet. She looked around and found herself in... A jungle. The jungles of Venus at that. But where the hell in Venus? Jaymie saw her Ghost, who was frantically flying around her in worry.

"Jaymie! Jaymie! Jay!" Spark said in worry, hovering in front of her face. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? I think we crashed the ship..." He stated. Jaymie looked behind her to see her prized ship, the "Challenger" wrecked to pieces. She instantly stood up and looked at the damage in grief.

"Oh my God NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Jaymie cried, looking at the remnants of her pride and joy. "My baby! My precious ship..."

Spark looked over to his Guardian. "I'm not precious...?"

Jaymie looked over to her Ghost. "You're precious but my ship is precious too! And now she's gone... Can you tell Cayde we crashed so he can send someone?"

Spark nodded. "Okay! Hm... I'm not getting any signal... I'm can't make any sort of communication with anyone."

"Oh thank the Traveler!" C-MON squeaked, and floated over to the newcomers, before hiding behind Jaymie, "My Guardian has gone insane! She tried to shoot me!"

Weiss turned to face the newcomers; the barrel of her rifle floating over and pointing directly at the immediate source of the noise and gunfire. All that could be heard was a small sigh, and the gun was retracted and slung over Weiss' shoulder.

"He was being annoying," She countered, crossing her arms as she watched these other Guardians. So these were the Guardians C-MON spoke of. For a group on Venus, they seemed rather....immature.

Alistair glanced at Trinity and tilted his head to the side before nodding. "Understood. I'll try to keep him in check. I'm sure he just wants to have him laugh a bit, though." Alistair said. Yes, Otto was annoying and sometimes not the friendliest, but overall he was a nice ghost and Alistair knew that by heart. He was quick to follow Jaymie along with the rest, amused by her enthusiasm. They found yet another Guardian and a Ghost who claimed thatbits Guardian tried to kill it while the Guardian argued that the Ghost was being annoying. First time Alistair had even heard of that. "Oh surely as annoying as your Ghost can get, you'll miss it if you kill it! It's nice to meet you, by the way!" Alistair said cheerfully. Otto scoffed. "Wait. You tried to kill your GHOST? The one thing that keeps you alive and from getting lost?...I like you." Otto said as he floated around Weiss. "The name's Otto, and that awesome Exo over there is my partner Alistair. The rest are also Guardians and ghosts and whatever." Otto hummed.

Jaymie expected a completely badass battle and the opportunity to show how awesome she was at being a badass fighter warrior ninja samurai, but no. Jaymie looked back at Yui and rubbed the back of her helmet.

"...Sorry. Hey, at least we can be rezerekte- resurec... revived!"

Just then, there was just a Guardian, who's Ghost hid behind her.

"Woah woah, I'm sure she didn't mean to shoot you!" Jaymie said, taking C-MON into her hands. "Maybe her finger slipped?" But then Weiss admitted C-MON was being annoying. "Damn... What the hell did you do to get her to shoot you?"

Spark frantically flew along with Yui. He never was able to keep up with his Guardian. Once he made it to Jaymie, Spark nodded his head to Yui. "Thank you!" He said. In shock, he found that Weiss tried to kill her Guardian. In worry, he flew over to Weiss.

"Please don't kill your Ghost companion!" Spark pleaded with Weiss. "He is your scout and librarian and... Faithful companion! Even the Grimore cards say so! He can revive you too, so if you get hurt you'll be okay."

"thank you." Trinity whispered to Alistair before drifting off to rejoin her Guardian.

Excalibur-12 made it to Weiss's location a little behind the others. He was confused by the situation, as he hadn't really felt annoyance at anything.

"What Ghost Spark says is true." Excalibur-12 intoned to Wiess. "The benefits of such a companion outweigh a simple emotional reaction to behavior. And surely, if emotion is what drives you, the friendship between you and your Ghost should be stronger. And a friend could never betray another."

Trinity gave her Guardian a quick look after his last sentence. He seemed his normal self, but what he had said pangged a sense of guilt from her. Yes, she had to do it, but that didn't mean she didn't regret it.

"Fine. I'll try not to bug her" Sorraxe responded to Jaymie's comment about leaving Yui alone. He then realized that he was the only one still standing near the fallen Dreg. "You guys LEFT ME!" he exclaimed as he ran in the direction of the gun shot.

"Your such an idiot" Wing said to point out Sorraxe's lack of awareness.

Sorraxe frowned a little. "Why do you gotta be so mean!?" he whined.

Wing rolled her body and didn't respond. She just flew along side as they neared the other Guardians.

When they finally arrived, they saw a ghost hiding behind Jaymie and heard Alistair, Excalibur, and Otto talking to a fellow Guardian about the importance of her Ghost. Sorraxe walked closer to get a better idea of what was going on. Before he said anything, he examined to armor and helmet of the fellow Guardian.

"Wait, your Weiss! Yeah, Your the one that refused to respond to Commander Zavala in the mission beriefing" He said in a surprised voice. Sorraxe was mostly surprised because he actually remembered somebody.

Weiss let out a subtle sigh. God, these people were even more irritating than C-MON was, and that alone was striking. A bunch of naive Guardians, just what the Hive loved to dine on. Along with the Moon and literally anything they could get their hands on.

"The Ghost is distracting. My position can be found if I am not quick with my shots. His banter ruins my accuracy." Weiss explained her reasoning to them all, and briefly glanced at Sorraxe, "Zavala is too headstrong of an Awoken. I would rather trust Cayde with my life than that Titan."

Weiss began to scowl a bit, though it was hidden beneath the darkness of her visor. It was clear, oh so very clear to everyone that she was a very, very brusque person. She seemed visibly uncomfortable being around everyone, what with her fidgets and constant need to check her rifle.

(I'm waiting on scrap and Kunivas...)

(busy, kunivas first)

Sorraxe understood where Weiss was coming from. He walked over to her and, almost hyperly, held her close to the side of his body with one arm. He flung his head back and let out a booming and jovial bellow.

Wing paniced a little. "Don't laugh at her! You will only cause problems for the future!!" Wing exclaimed.

Sorraxe looked at Weiss, while his arm was still around her, and chuckled a little. "There is no reason to be fearful of a conversation here and there. I bet your life would be much more boring if your ghost wasn't there to bothered you as much as he does. Your job would become monotonous and friends don't come very easy to you I am guessing." he said with a small smile under his helmet. "As much as you may hate him, he is the one that will keep coming back. I assure you."

Excalibur-12 gave Sorraxe a startled look when he put an arm around Wiess then bellowed.

"Is Guardian Sorraxe malfunctioning?" Excalibur whispered to his Ghost.

Trinity sighed.

"No, he's trying to be friendly and defuse the situation." She whispered.

"Ah." Excalibur nodded.

"At least he understood that." Trinity thought.

"Surely, the Ghost's ability to revive you outweighs your personal disadvantages with it?" Excalibur-12 asked, trying to logically come up with reasons why not to shoot a Ghost.

Alistair and Otto looked at each other, shrugging as they honestly had no idea what to do. They could definitely try and help fix the relationship, but it seemed the Guardian was a hard one to crack as it was. "Nevermind. I don't like it anymore. Alistair do something about it would you?" Otto complained. Alistair chuckled somewhat nervously before raising his hand. "Well. As long as we don't end up killing each other, I think we can all get along for the ride, right?! Besides we have a mission to do and no signal to communicate with the outside world?"

"I don't think hitting on the queen would be the best of ideas, then again knowing you you'd probably succeed" Hector commented at Tieira's previous statement as he cocked his scout rifle, and looked at Raina arguing with her ghost. "Weird one right there..." Smithy commented flying right beside Hector. "We do that all the time..." he commented.

"Anyway, lets get going, we've stood here enough, there might be other guardians around..." Hector said, "Yeah, im detecting some signals..." smithy assured.

Tieria was already on the next ridge, rifle out.

"Group of Guardians to the west. Not exactly comrades. Most likely ended up, like us, just showing up here. We need to link up and organize ourselves."

Sorraxe, with arm still around Weiss, looks at Weiss and rises his metallic brow. "Weiss? Are you okay?"

"Roger." Hector agreed with Tieria, "Me and Raina will go speak to them, you can watch our backs." Hector told her as he motioned for Raina to follow him, Smithy now quiet as he checked for other ghosts signals.

"Christ look at how many people fell in this god forsaken shithole of a planet, this is turning out to be quite the day isn't it?" Smithy commented, as Hector simply held his vision of confluence, and headed west to where Tieria said there were some guardians.

Weiss turned to face Sorraxe. No one needed to see her face to tell she was not happy with being touched and being treated so "chummily" by another Guardian.

"Off," She told him, her voice laced with venom and contempt.

"Oh no! P-please don't touch her! She...she tends to break bones." C-MON told Sorraxe, "She's tried breaking me too! Of course, I just hide in her backpack till she calms down.."

Excalibur-12 gave C-MON an alarmed look.

"You would withhold your Guardian's equipment?" He asked, sounding shocked. "That could put both your existences in danger."

He gave both Weiss and C-MON stern looks.

"Please understand that your current attitudes can only end in *bzzt* betrayal."

The last word was said in a deeper, smoother voice then Excalibur-12's usual young, keen voice. Trinity whirled to look at Excalibur. That was Niner's voice saying that last word! He couldn't be back again!

"What did you say?" She asked, a tremor in her voice.

Excalibur-12 gave his Ghost a puzzled look.

"I said that they're current attitudes can only end in trouble." He answered in his normal voice. "Is something wrong with that observation?"

"Um, no. No!" Trinity said hastily. "Sound logic, I'd say."

"But it's not what you said." She thought, alarm growing. "Please, please, don't let him out."

Jaymie was partially ignoring everyone else and more focusing on C-MON, Sorraxe and Weiss.

"Awwww." Jaymie silently squealed as she hugged C-MON. "Don't worry little Ghosty. I won't ever let your Guardian break you alright! Spark and me are your friends~!"

Spark meanwhile was still frantically trying to drill every reason why not to shoot your Ghost into Weiss' head.

"Your Ghost also synthesizes ammo for you, even the condensed syntesizable food MRE thingies that the Vanguard gives to us in emergencies! We also decipher alien codes and open doors for you and- oh my!" Jaymie and Spark went silent, looking over to Sorraxe who had the balls wrap his arm around Weiss. Jaymie began to snicker.

"Oh man Sorraxe is about to get rocked..." She said, snickering some more. Jaymie stopped her snickering instantly after Excalibur's... Malfunction.

"Woah, Excalibuddy! What's with the weird voice thing?" Jaymie asked. "Hey Excali's Ghost, you sure he's okay?"

"I'm not sure what you mean, Guardian Jaymie." Excalibur-12 answered, his confusion growing. "I have not detected any malfunctions with my verbal communications unit. How would you classify a...'weird voice thing'?"

Trinity had been dreading this.

"Excalibur's fine." She said quickly. "It must have just been an unexpected glitch from the crash. Should right itself."

She should tell them. Warn them. But she'd worked to hard to get Excalibur where he was now. She couldn't just throw that away.

Yui stepped up and said "Instead of finding out why she wants to shoot her ghost and trying to talk her out of it, or trying to be overly chummy." she shot a look at Sorraxe when she said that "We should try and figure out why we were all sent here, who shot us down and why, and who's jamming our signals and why. Most likely the ones who shot us down are the same ones who are jamming our signals."

"I would never--!" C-MON exclaimed at Excalibur's question, his blue light blinking rapidly as his small shell body twisted and twirled, "As a Ghost I serve my purpose to the letter e! I do all that Weiss asks me to do!"

"He talks too much," Weiss then interjected, summing up the problem nicely, "It's annoying."

"And there you have it," C-MON replied, "The whole problem...which is my fault. After a careful analysis of pre-Collapse data from the Crpytarchy, I deduced that my personality structure and regristry were modeled after a fictitious being known as Wheatl--"

Weiss sighed and grabbed C-MON, causing the Ghost to simply blink out of existence.

"Irritating.."

When Jaymie said that Sorraxe was going to get rocked, he laughed a little. He then looked at Weiss again and she shot a sinister glare at him.

"Heh Heh...... Heh he...." Sorraxe said with an awkward smile on his face. He then removed his arm from around Weiss and slightly shimmied away.

Wing, whom was watching the whole situation unravel, said "..... Idiot" and swayed her shell from left to right in disappointment.

Sorraxe raised his head after hearing a bzzt noise. He turned his head slightly and noticed it had come from Excalibur. Sorraxe squinted his eyes a little as he thought, but decided not to say anything. He was surprised to hear that Jaymie had heard it too- surprised because she was believed to have the attention span of a goldfish. He then focused his attention to Yui. She downplayed Sorraxe's friendliness to which Sorraxe responded by nodding his head with his lips tightly shout. She then brought up a good point about finding who shot us down. Sorraxe then remembered the dreg he had killed.

"The Fallen are probably the ones who shot us down. I had killed a dreg that was wielding a Wire Rifle back where we meet. The House it belonged to is unknown, so I decided to call them the House of Angels because of the dreg's white armor and bird like symbol. I also feel that they probably set up an Electromagnetic Field. Combined with the immense amount of darkness in to area, the field's effects probably are amplified. They are probably trying to conceal the stronghold we were sent to assualt." Sorraxe said trying to explain what he has assessed.

"You still don't know if the Fallen actaully have technology advanced enough to jam our comms, do you?" Wing questioned. "Maybe the Vex are to ones who are jamming us".

Sorraxe thought a little harder. He then sighed.

After the quick explanation that Jaymie didn't really care about, Jaymie just ignored the entire thing with Excalibur and stuck herself right into the conversation with Weiss and Sorraxe. The question floating around was who shot them down and jammed their signals. The explanation however, went in one ear and out the other.

"Ewww that makes no sense at all..." Jaymie said with a huff. It wasn't that it made no sense, she just didn't understand a single word of what Sorraxe said.

"I think the Fallen shot us down since they hate us and they're pirates and stuff... And the Vex jammed us because they're smart and stuff..." She concluded. It wasn't shocking that Cayde loved her so much. Jaymie was a nightmare to the other Vanguards.

Spark meanwhile, was very interested into what C-Mon had to say.

"A fictional character by the name of Wheat is what your personality is based on..." Spark hummed. "Well, I don't think I am based on a character, however I..." He couldn't help but sigh. If Spark could frown, he would. "I've been told I act like... A baby. People call me baby Ghost, so perhaps I was constructed with a personality with that of a newborn human? I mean, I can talk and think so I don't understand why people would call me that..."

Otto couldn't help but to butt into the conversation of the two ghosts, much to Alistair's dismay. "Baby ghost? Wheat? How did you two even became ghosts?!" Otto scoffed, not wanting to offend anyone...just being blunt as he was. He floated around Spark specifically. "If you're being called a baby it has to be because you're acting like one, you know?! If you start acting like a grown up maybe they will call you grown up ghost! Aha!" Otto exclaimed, glancing over at Excalibur and then back at the two ghosts. "Dudes, this guy is great. You should totally ask him why the chicken crossed the road. Its hilarious!" Otto joked. Alistair couldn't help but to feel uneasy. They were all together and all, but something shot them down, and that same something must still be around trying to find them. "I don't know if the Fallen shot us down or who is wrecking up our communication but I don't think standing around like sitting ducks is safe, at all." Alistair commented. Otto chimed up. "Hey it could be worse. We could have no radio signal." Otto said, before proceeding to play out a random song. "Oh I love this one! TO DA WINDOOOOOWS!" Otto sang, floating around Alistair, who didn't seemed bothered by it despite the loudness.

Yui helmetpalmed (lol) with a sigh and turned to Alistair. "At least someone here has a lick of sense." she said. "We should split up and search for the source of the jamming signal, as well as whoever shot us down."
