i think Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins would fit better than toy story, don't get me wrong i would love it to be in kh3 and you would have to explore Andy's house or something and have woody and buzz be a party member, but there wasn't really a villain that i would be ok with fighting in the first movie. if it were 2 or 3 then fine i would love fighting the villains from those movies in the game, but since this is the first time it would appear in KH they will have to go with the first one and the first movie's villain was only a normal kid and as much as we hate Cid, i wouldn't feel right using the power of the keyblade on him. plus i think Buzz's movie would fit better and he has more evil enemies and better environments, i mean you can't tell me you wouldn't want to have a battle with zirg and warp darkmatter in space minus the gummi ship.

 

Edit: also characters from movie are in the Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters too

I think people largely forget that a world's boss does not have to be a Disney character (Deep Jungle had a heartless, DDD had pretty much all Dream Eater Bosses, BBS had a lot of Unversed bosses)  Plus I highly doubt that Square would pick a spin-off movie before actually doing the source material.

Because, when this was made, Pixar was not actually "owned" by Disney. Disney were just Pixar's promoters then the Pixar Animation Studios label. If a world can be confirmed into Kingdom Hearts 3, it has to either be from Walt Disney Animation Studios, DisneyToon Studios or potentially Pixar, Marvel or Lucasfilm.

Exactly, a Toy Story world would still work if a Heartless/Nobody/Other boss was the main enemy. Cid could still be an antagonist, but only in the same sense that Clu or Frollo were, where they aren't actually fought but they still provide some kind of conflict in the story. I guess in that regard he would be more like Monstro actually, as he would only be keeping Woody and Buzz (and presumably Sora and the gang) captive and wouldn't even be aware of all the toy-sized Heartless everywhere.

 

I mean, unless after having a total meltdown after Woody's "Night of the Living Toys" moment he gives into the Darkness in his heart and gets used by the Heartless, but come on, seeing a Darkness-possessed Cid would be ridiculous...and hilarious. X)

 

And yeah, it would make more sense to introduce the source material, being Toy Story, first before adapting any spin-offs, like Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. I mean don't get me wrong, I would love to see that too, and to have a battle against Zurg like in the show or even better like in the opening of Toy Story 2 would be awesome, but again, it wouldn't be fair to the other characters we want to see. It's not to say it won't ever have a chance of happening, considering how The Three Musketeers got to be included, being a direct-to-home-video movie itself, but again, I think the general consensus is that Toy Story should be adapted before anything else.

 

And who knows, boss fights against Zurg could still happen. Maybe the Toy Story world could work like the Toy Story 3 video game and there are some levels or areas that are imagination based whenever Andy plays with the toys. That way you could have a boss battle against Zurg like in the Toy Story 2 opening, assuming they give Andy a Zurg toy in this version.

 

There's open possibilities for everything, but there's also an order to things as well.
