== Before The Invasion ==

It started off as a normal day... well, as normal as you could call it that is.

After successfully campaigning to gather young civilians to join in the impending war against Fuse, Dexter, the Boy Genius, announced that he would be needing some volunteers to participate in a test of his newest invention: the Time Capsule. The invention was, of course, an attempt for Dexter to harness the power of time travel, something he felt would be a good asset for battling Fuse.

Five of these kids took the offer, and then were asked to join Dexter and his assistant Computress in a section of the main laboratory. There, the five stepped into the capsule, while Dexter fiddled with the controls from the outside. It all seemed fairly simple, but knowing what goes down in Dexter's laboratory, some trouble was bound to happen...

Each of the five were instructed to simply stand in the capsule and wait, as well as keep their newly gifted communicators, in the form of bluish gray wristbands, on standby, as it would be needed for later. After the doors automatically shut and sealed the capsule, a blue hologram of Dexter, as well as Computress, appeared before the volunteers. Dexter was typing away at the off-screen computer in front of him while Computress hovered by his side with a cybernetic clipboard in hand.

"Excellent. Your bio-scans are completed and fully registered and your information has been filled in," Dexter said, feeling content but then pausing and studying the information once over again.

"Although, there seems to be a mistake with one of the profiles... who is, um, 'Ay-Jay'?"

"That's me, Dex!" One of the volunteers said, a young boy with a huge pompadour and a red-and-white jacket.

"Oh yes, 'Arthur', I remember now..."

"Nah, nah, I'm gonna stick with 'Ay-Jay'. I prefer being called by my nickname rather than my boring real name. I hope you don't mind, I just think it fits better. Plus, I'd want Fuse and his goons to know that they're messin' with a supercool dude and whatnot." Ay-Jay said very colorfully, causing Dexter to raise an eyebrow.

"Well, alright then. Do as you wish... ah-hem, now let's see if your communicators are working," Dexter said, going back to typing.

"All communication systems are functioning, Dexter. I will be able to reconnect with the volunteers upon arrival in the future," Computress said, checking her clipboard.

"Affirmative. Things are going just as planned," Dexter said, clearly enjoying the current progression of his invention.

"Now, is everybody ready?" Dexter asked the five.

"I'm ready as I'll ever be, Dex!" Ay-Jay said, giving a thumbs-up to the holograms. Oh man oh man, this is gonna rock. I'm finally getting a chance to do something great! Watch out, slimeball, I'm comin' for ya! He thought.

Tyson felt the blue device wasn't doing anything.  He wondered if there was anything he had to do to make it work.  Walking around it for a few seconds he just steps on top of it to see what happens.

"Ugh... I wasn't told the transporter would drop me out of the sky..." Neil rubbed his head, but hearing someone beneath him speak caught his attention. "Heh, sorry about that." He got off Ay-Jay and answered his questions. "Yeah, name's Neil. You're Ay-Jay, right?" He asked. "I was with Nisa, but when we tried using a transport device to get away from a weird gooey thing, something went wrong... Is she here?" He looked around, wondering if they'd somehow managed to get separated. That could be a problem... "And what's going on here, anyway?"

"Yep, that's me," Ay-Jay said, answering Neil's first question.

"The weird girl in the yellow jacket? Nope," Ay-Jay added.

"To be honest, I'm still trying to figure it out myself. I just ran into these two kids who told me to follow them so I could get to safety. Now that you're here, you should stay close. There's all kinds of rigmarole is going down in this place and I'd rather keep myself breathin' long enough to get away from it," Ay-Jay said, going back to climbing the hill and suggesting Neil to follow him.

In the nick of time, Buttercup grabbed Nisa away from the monsters, now holding both her and E.T. in her arms as she floated upwards above the building.

"Geez. Having one of you guys was bad enough," she groaned. "Anyways, I'm going get you guys outside the square. Hang tight!"

Buttercup then began flying once more.

The device powered on, and Tyson was teleported as intended.

He now found himself in an area outside Tech Square, facing a small ridge with a small path that led to a small open space where a giant green object of somekind laid. Near the object, green monsters were running about, and a certain girl and boy were doing their best to get rid of them.

Tyson blinked repeatedly upon being in a new place.  Smiling, he thought:  Okay that was pretty cool.  I would like more of that when there isn't any danger around.  With that thought Tyson stepped off the device to take a gander at his current surroundings.  He found himself in front of a small ridge and could see some large green thing in the distance.  He also saw some monsters fighting a girl and a boy near it.  "Looks like trouble up there.  And since there's nowhere else for me to go...."  Tyson starts running along the path towards all of the commotion.

Nisa had her eyes closed at the moment. If she was still in the air, she must be falling. But...She wasn't going down. The young girl slowly opened her eyes, looking down. and her eyes widened as her view was amazing. "Y-Yopa! I'm flying!" She exclaimed. She then looked to her side and saw that a woman was doing the flying for her. Plus she was carrying another member of the team. "Yopa! I found you! Looks like you're safe too!" Nisa said to E.T.

E.T., gradually calming down, eventually looked over to Nisa. "O-oh! Yeah, hey there! You're, uh..." E.T. paused for a minute. He had realized that he had never actually bothered to remember everybody's name. "Uh...don't tell me...you're the, uh...the yopa girl, right?" E.T. still held on to Buttercup's arm for dear life, despite talking rather calmly now.

Nisa nodded quickly. "Yopa! My name's Nisa! You must be...Umm..." Nisa wanted to scratch her head, but she didn't want to let go of the lady's arm or she'll fall down. Her expression could just tell someone she was trying, almost straining to think. "Yopa, yopa, yopaaa.....Oh! E.T., right? Is that your name?" She said cheerfully with a smile.
